It can't just be me, who whenever a new season rolls around, I feel like I need to buy a whole new wardrobe, a new bag, seasonally appropriate books and cute homeware...good, I'm not the only one! Autumn is everyones favourite season and if you think it isn't yours then you are lying to yourself and autumnal homeware is currently at the top of my to-buy list along with some Lush Christmas/Halloween products and a new autumn coat.
One site that I always forget to check out when I'm looking for clothing and homeware is Esprit. It's a great site for womens, mens and childrens clothing as well as a range of homeware, from towels and bathrooms accessories to home decor, wallpaper and curtains. Here's my mini homeware wish list:
How gorgeous are all of these homeware items and can you spot the theme? I love stars on anything but especially homeware! I think out of all of the products, the black glittery cushion cover has to be my favourite as it's so simple but I think it looks quite christmassy and festive - it is almost time the season to be jolly so I need to get some festive homeware on standby and that cushion cover would be perfect. I love the black option but it also comes in a cute creamy colour too.
In our house, blankets are a must! Everyone has one, it's a very important item and I use mine everyday while working at my desk as it's always better to be cosy while working. The creamy fleece blanket looks so incredibly warm and cosy as well as a nice blog photo background...this is what happens when you've been blogging for a while, you'll look at everyday, normal objects as photography props.

I love the change in seasons as it means that I get to switch up my makeup, clothing and homeware and while autumn will always be my favourite season, I do love simple and minimal spring homeware too. If I'm not buying books, I've been looking through various homeware sites for their new spring items and I've come across some gorgeous picks that would be perfect for the spring season from Oliver Bonas and Zurleys!
I'm not into bright colours for any season so my spring shades include light grey, white/cream, metallic shades and any blush pink or coral tone....can you tell. A few smaller homeware items that I have my eye on include this gorgeous and very unusual lamp from Oliver Bonas which I think will look perfect with my minimal and neutral toned bedroom decor.
Another item from Oliver Bonas that I'm loving is this stripy pom pom throw (even during the warmer months I need throws and blankets everywhere) and this adorable mug. I have quite a mug collection but obviously there is always room for one more...or two more.
Lastly, two items from the homeware site Zurleys are on my current spring and summer homeware wish list. Zurleys is a lovely family run, gorgeous homeware site that has a wide range of stunning, inexpensive homeware and furniture to choose from and naturally I'm loving all of the items within the 'Scandinavian' and 'Copper' styles! The copper clocks are gorgeous!
The first Zurleys item on my list is a minimal chest of drawers which looks gorgeous and is such an unusual but practical size - I could definitely use this item within my home office or bedroom where it would look perfect. The final item in todays wish list post (although it could have been much longer) is a very comfy looking Scandinavian style armchair from Zurleys which would look amazing in our garden summer house, living room or conservatory. I was actually looking for a chair similar to this for a corner in my home office but couldn't find one that I liked at the time, until now.

Some people relax by playing video games, gardening, meditating or painting. Me? I bake up a storm and eat half of what I've made instantly...yeah. Baking and cooking for the most part is so relaxing and calming to me and you get something yummy to eat at the end of it, win win. My mum is the same which explains why we have a massive cupboard full of baking tools, cases, tins, icing and more so when this packaged arrived we were both very excited!
House of Fraser is a store that I always look in for homeware, sales and beauty products but I've never really tried anything from the Linea range until now. The Linea range is a great value range and to be honest, I didn't expect the products to be as gorgeously designed and as really high quality as the products I received are. I was very, very kindly sent a range of products from House of Fraser including Linea and Dickins & Jones.
How freakin' cute and gorgeous is this design! I love the range I received mostly because it is very bee themed and features a beautiful mint, purple and white colour combination which I love! You can't see from the photo above *sorry* but the inside of pattern is the same as the mint bee tea towel below. The range matches perfectly and together it looks so cute. I think they would make a fantastic gift for anyone who loves baking, cooking and gorgeous homeware.
Obviously I had to forgot to photograph one item *cries*, I received a super cute apron which is also from the Queen Bee range from Linea. I'm not a fan of aprons, I don't know why but I never use them as they just get in the way and I'm not that clumsy in the kitchen but I have to admit that this one is gorgeous. It has a huge pocket on the front which I love but I don't think I'll be using it as it is fairly long and I'm tiny but I know my auntie will adore this apron so she'll be receiving it.
*Linea Home Queen Bee Set of Three Tea Towels (£14)
Again, I adore the print as does everyone else! The set has three different prints that match the sections of the oven glove. The mint and bee print is definitely my favourite of the three, closely followed by the purple 'queen bee of the kitchen' print/design. The tea towels are huge and they are 100% cotton. I think this set would be great as part of a baking/cooking hamper!
Staying with the pastel and adorable theme, I also received this cute timer which reminds of an american diner in the 1950's, maybe that's just me! We don't actually have a timer, maybe that's why I struggle with timings of my bakes...oops. I love the sky blue colour and design and it's magnetic too so it can stick onto the fridge.
These measuring cups are probably my favourite item I was sent as the measuring cups when stacked look like an adorable mint green and cream milk bottle design...yes, I love it and it's so cute. In England we don't really use cup measurements, it's more of an American thing but since I started incorporating more vegan recipes into my daily life, I find that I'm using cup measurements so much more as pretty much all of the vegan recipes I try are from American bloggers/websites. I know I'm going to get so much use of the these measuring cups which come in 1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup and a whole cup measurements. They look so cute when stacked and act as functional decor almost.
Overall, I adore the homeware and baking items I received, especially the cute milk bottle measuring cups! The queen bee design throughout the range is so summery, gorgeous and it fits with our kitchen decor really well in terms of the colour scheme. I didn't know what to expect with the quality as the Linea range is a more reasonably priced but I'm really impressed and I cannot recommend these items enough. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Spring is here and while autumn is my favourite season in all ways, I love adore how fresh, light and hopeful spring is! Spring homeware is currently one of my favourite things to purchase, along with books and new spring makeup. Laura Ashley have an incredible range of spring homeware as well as clothing, gifts and much more.
Light Colours: Fresh & Airy
There are a few homeware trends that I love for this time of the year but the general theme of spring homeware features light colours, fresh and airy fabrics and pastel shades, all of which I'm craving for the spring time. While I do like cosy, warm and darker shades of the autumn and winter months, I do prefer light and airy shades - all the light grey, blush pink and cream shades!
Blackout Blinds/Curtains
Blackout blinds or thicker, heavy curtains might be counterintuitive for the spring season but stick with me! A study conducted by Oxford University found that light bedrooms (in terms of light levels) can have an affect on the quality of your sleep as well as your waistline! The lighter evenings and early spring mornings can reduce the amount of sleep we get at this time of the year and interrupt natural sleep patterns so investing in thicker curtains or blackout blinds could not only help you get more sleep but it could improve your sleep quality.
Minimal - Less Clutter & Spring Clean
One homeware trend that I am all about is minimalism! I've never been one to hold onto items, whether they're sentimental or not, as it's just not me so the minimalism trend/lifestyle is perfect for me and I also think that it fits with the season too. Spring cleaning and decluttering is something I love to do as I feel like having a clear, clean and organised space makes me think clearly and be much more productive, particularly as I currently work from home.
Candles: Relaxing & Calming Atmosphere
Lastly, candles to me and to most people are something more associated with autumn and winter but they are perfect for spring too by adding in the scent of nature, clean cotton, floral scents or fresh, citrusy scents to your home. Laura Ashley have a range of gorgeous candles, some of which are ideal for spring/summer including the scents: bergamot and lime, citrus blossom and nectarine, rhubarb and vanilla and a hedgerow scented candle!

As well as homeware, there's one item that can make such a difference to the brightness of your home and how much light there is - blinds. I am not a fan of darker or blackout blinds but I do love white, cream and lighter shades as I have in my bedroom and home office because they add so much light to any room which I love during the spring and summer months. We all know by now how much I love autumn and even though it's my favourite season, I've been very good at not spending a tonne of money on gorgeous homeware, clothes and books (...yet, I'm going shopping this weekend so that might change). I've been window shopping gorgeous homeware recently as well as christmas decorations because as a blogger I need to be even more prepared for the festive season that I would normally. Here are my top four cosy autumnal homeware picks from Amara, Anthropologie, ASDA and Furnish Your Home, the latter is my new favourite homeware website to browse.
Let's start with the Furnish Your Home item which is this cosy and comfy bar stool. I have some bar stools that I love already but it would be nice to add some more especially with the busy festive period around the corner and more guests than normal in the house. I do like the swivel bar stools we have but I love the look of these comfy grey static stools too. The grey linen and oak combination would be absolutely perfect for our kitchen and living room as that it our colour scheme.
Bar stools can actually be really expensive especially for what they are but these are very reasonably priced, in my opinion. They have such a wide range of bar stools in a variety of styles from more modern offerings to designer, minimalist and cosy options too so you're bound to find something for you and your home. You can find more of my favourite items below, there are too many to choose from! Furnish Your Home offers free UK delivery and a one year grantee which is fantastic especially for larger and more expensive items such as furniture and homeware.
Next up, it wouldn't be a cosy home during the autumn and winter months without a cute wreath! This one from Amara is so beautiful and very autumnal (so naturally I love it). I have a cute nordic winter wreath that I made in the living room but I'd love one on the front door - I think door wreaths look so festive and homely. Unlike most wreaths this one is fairly reasonably priced but it doesn't look it.
Another homeware item I've wanted for a while is a globe. There are so many to choose from but so many are very expensive or they aren't in the style I'd like but this one from ASDA is not only gorgeous but it is very inexpensive too at only £15 - bargain! I'm going to have to visit my local ASDA store to find it soon before it sells out which I'm sure it will as soon as I try to find it.
Last but not least is this beautiful Perasima dining collection from Anthropologie which comes in a range of colours but obviously I need the pink set! I love the speckled pink shade and the gold accents - it would look great on my instagram (#BloggerProblems). I would love the platter, dinner plate and the cute mug from this luxe range. I love anything from Anthropologie and I am secretly hoping that this range goes on sale soon!

Spring is finally here (sadly so is hayfever) which means that I've been spring cleaning, organising and getting rid of so much clutter! Sticking with the theme of adorable and very unique homeware items is this cute Apple Rattan Storage Basket from Laura Ashley! It's perfect for me as we live on a street with apple in the name so I feel like we need this...and it's just so cute!
Lastly, I'd love to upgrade some of the blinds in the living room and utility as we've had them for so long and Ambition Blinds have a fantastic range to choose from including wooden Venetian blinds, blackout blinds, roof window blinds and roller blinds. I have my eye on the faux wood mirage fine grain wooden venetian blinds, the splash sand roller blinds and the desert oak wooden venetian blinds. When the seasons change, I always want to buy a range of gorgeous new clothing, accessories and homeware and this season I'm drawn to copper, greys, peaches and natural tones and textures - well, I love copper/rose gold all of the time, I am a blogger after all! I love the vase but sadly it's out of stock until November! I also love the candles, I adore candles during the colder months (obviously I'm obsessed with hygge at the moment and candles are very important to the feeling of hygge). H&M homeware is all over the blogging community and recently they have upped their game with so many new products which I think are quite scandinavian/nordic inspired with the simplistic, minimalist design and the use of natural and more rustic materials.

It's coming to the end of summer now and autumn is almost here which is making me want to buy all of the autumnal homeware and candles! Autumn is my favourite season as it's so cosy, jumpers are compulsory and it is acceptable to bake and eat constantly. I'm not a fan of summer homeware, it's too bright and colourful, I definitely prefer autumnal homeware and I was recently sent some lovely items from Rooi Home, Dandelion Interiors and Melody Maison.
I've wanted to try Paddywax candles for the longest time but I always put it off so I was very excited to receive these cute candles in the post. I have 'applewood and amber' and 'amber and smoke', both of which are small 2oz candles. I love the packaging, they're so cute and there are so many options to choose from.
Let's start with the 'applewood and amber' scent, I don't really have a favourite as they are both gorgeous but to me, this one smells like christmas, apple pie and potpourri, it is amazing. The scent is so homely, cosy and autumnal/wintery which I love. As the candle is small, it burns evenly, there isn't any tunnelling and it smells amazing. The scent throw isn't incredible but it's really good and they are both making me wish it was autumn even more now.
Next up the 'amber and smoke' scent which is pretty much bonfire night in candle form and who wouldn't want that! It is smokey, deep, woody and rich, I think it might be one of my favourite candle scents ever. I could smell it all day, it's that good and again as it's small, it burns well and evenly. I cannot recommend these candles enough, definitely check out Rooi Home!
If I could sum up autumn in homeware items, candles, blankets and fairylights would be at the top of the list. Fairylights, as well as candles, can make any room look instantly cosy and inviting. That's why my second favourite is this gorgeous battery powered lamp from Dandelion Interiors that I received a while ago and I've been loving it since.
The lamp features a large glass dome, heavy base and a connected string of copper fairylights inside. The dome can be removed and that's really my only negative as I have almost dropped it a couple of times as it isn't connected to the base at all but apart from that it looks amazing. The fairylights are a mix of yellow and almost pinkish hues which I adore and the lamp looks so victorian, as though it should belong in a dusty library or apothecary. I love that it is battery powered as it can be moved around fairly easily and it has a handy on/off switch on the back rather than under the base. I couldn't be happier with it!
Lastly, this gorgeous copper mirrored tray has been a favourite recently and it's working well as a blog photo prop too and you'll see it in an upcoming post or two! It's from Melody Maison who I have worked with before as I received an equally gorgeous copper clock from them a few months ago. I think it would also be great for storing and displaying fragrances, makeup or candles too.

Autumn is my favourite season and it is almost here which makes me feel very excited and all cosy! Autumn is my favourite season for so many reasons but one of them is all of the cosy homeware; I love all of the hygge homeware such as candles, throws, cushions and fairylights. I love switching up my homeware and decor at this time of the year and thankfully the colour scheme of my house is fairly neutral so a range of decor designs and shades usually match well.
We all have those shades that we love for interior design ideas and homeware, whether you're a fan of bright and colourful shades, a monochrome lover or are you are like me and love all of the natural shades and textures. My favourite homeware shades have to include all shades of cream, grey, blush pink and natural shades/textures. Cream
My personality is fairly anxious and I tend to always overthink everything so I find that cosy interiors and spending time in nature very calming and homely to me so I like to use those shades and texture within my home. I love neutral shades as to me they are very clean, easy to pair with various decor items and easy to maintain. Creamy and off white shades are my the perfect base shades which I have in my home office, kitchen and hallway.
Grey
I do generally prefer lighter shades to darker shades as I want every room to look bright and clean but also homely and for me, only lighter shades can really achieve that; however I do like to add some lighter to darker greys around the house in the form of cushions, carpets, worktops or lighting.
Blush Pink
My favourite shade, which is definitely apparent if you look through the photos on my blog and my social media (I'm @ofbeautyand on Twitter and @ofbeautyand on Instagram), is blush pink. The combination of lighter greys, cream, rose gold or copper and blush pink is the blogger dream colour palette! Blush pink shades are just so cosy to me and I love pinky shades in cushions, bedding, blankets and decor such as vases and candles. I would absolutely love a blush pink feature wall too!
Unusual Textures
Last but not least, while I adore more matte, flatter and neutral shades, I like to add unusual textures to that colour scheme for some interest and dimension. I have various items around the house that add a unique texture such as my faux mother of peal and metal lamp shade, twisted rope hanging light, shiny rose gold accents, knitted blankets and wooden textures.

I have already posted a spring beauty wish list, which you can see, here and a spring fashion wish list, here. It is such a nice time of year although right now it is still a bit cold (welcome to England) but we can dream of brighter, sunny days! I am drooling over a lot of homeware recently as my bedroom is going to be redecorated soon and I am getting a new wardrobe (too many clothes not enough space....there is no such thing as too many clothes) which is why a lot of the items are bedroom decor related. Here are my current spring homeware picks!
1. Yankee Candle Bunny Cake Large Jar Candle (£19.99): Oh my, oh my, how cute is this candle! I think it is a limited edition scent for easter. As you can see from the items I am a bit obsessed with cream, grey, aqua and baby pink....I love candles and Yankee Candle is one of my favourite brands. This candle is supposed to smell like sugary coconut, creamy vanilla and bright citrus - so delicious!
2. Debenhams Ben De Lisi Grey Signs Felt Cushion (£35): As soon as I saw this I fell in love not only does it incorporate all of my current favourite colours but the design is just amazing, I love it! I think it would look great in my new bedroom design I have planned.
3. Asda George Home Mint Wall Clock (£10): This makes me think of american diners in the 50's for some reason, I love it and it is mint green/aqua! I think it would look great as a pop of colour (I hate that expression) on a creamy coloured wall.
4. Asda Pink Glass Soda Jug (£5): I can imagine a hot summer day (unlikely in England but work with me), the birds are singing, children are having water fights and there is an abundance of fresh watermelon and strawberries - that is the scene I imagine using this soda jug in - a bit far fetched I know but it just screams spring/summer.
5. Monsoon Home Slate Heart Coasters (£9): How adorable are these slate coasters . They look great and they would make a fantastic gift, in my opinion. I have never had slate coasters but I imagine they are really durable and they look quite expensive.
6. Zara Home Coloured Handle Fork/Spoon (£3.99 each): I am really quite picky about cutlery (strange I know) but these look right up my alley. I love the shape of them both and the coloured handle. They come in different colours too. I don't visit Zara Home as often as I should, they have amazing and very unique homeware!
7. Zara Home Bubble Vase (£19.99): I am going to have to make an order on Zara Home soon, so many beautiful things, I cannot possess them all (points to you if you know who said that). I have recently started to buy flowers - I guess it is the typical blogger thing to have in the background of photos so I thought I would try it and this vase looks perfect.
8. Asda Eiffel Tower Lamp (£20): How unique is this lamp, I have never seen any lamp like this - it is part lamp, part mini eiffel tower... So cute, I think it is a nice statement lamp that isn't too crazy, I think it would look great in my bedroom or study/office.

Minimalism
One of my favourite trends in terms of clothing, accessories and homeware is minimalism. I have always loved decluttering, organising and donating items whether it was products, makeup or clothing and I'm not very sentimental so the minimalism lifestyle and trends suit me! I love minimal decor, neutral colour schemes and simple clean lines.

Scandinavian
Another trend I'll always love is cosy, minimal Scandinavian style with all the hygge I can fit in. To me, Scandinavian homeware is very clean, simplistic, elegant and functional. Mixed Textures & Modern Neutrals
Last but not least is a homeware and decor style that I stumbled across, mixing textures and modern neutrals. It fits so perfectly with my style as while I do adore minimalism and neutral shades, I want there to be some unique interest as well - this is easily achieved by adding in interesting textures such as wooden, hammered metal and natural textures into your decor.

We all know that autumn is my favourite season and while I do wish that it could be autumn all year round, I do like clear summery days (although if my hayfever could disappear, that would be great) and I love certain summer homeware items/styles. I'm not a fan of very bright, neon summery homeware or decor but I adore quirky homeware and that's what Red Candy stock in abundance.
I was very kindly sent this beautiful planter, that I chose, from Red Candy which is a site I've been lucky enough to work with previously. They stock such a wide range of very unusual and quirky homeware, decor, gifts, wall art, lighting and more so you're bound to find something very different for your own home or as a gift. I reviewed their floating/hidden book shelves years ago and I loved them, I think they're a great example of a practical, unusual and surprising home gift idea.
I like to look through their 'new in' section as there are always so many quirky items and one of the main categories I'm drawn to are planters as well as vases (I have an astronaut vase on my wish list). I am not naturally a gardening inclined person but I have been obtaining house plants over the past couple of years and now I have around nine in my office, bedroom and bathroom, all of which I love. I've only managed to kill one so far, hopefully that will be the last!
For all of my plants, I have them in plain white/peach plastic containers that were very cheap from the garden centre I bought them from (I bought mine from Gordon Riggs) and while I like how minimal they are, I do want something a little different. I noticed this beautiful and incredibly unique planter on Red Candy and instantly fell in love with not only the planter I was send but also the greenhouse version of it as well. I knew I'd love the planter when it arrived as it's beautiful online but I didn't know that it would come in the most adorable box ever - the box matches the design of the planter and it's gorgeous! For that reason alone it would make for a wonderful and stunning gift but the planter is also cute and very summery, in my opinion. The design brings to mind the cute rustic French apartment buildings/houses I've seen on holiday in Toulon and Nice. Overall, it's a great size for a medium sized house plant, it looks so unique and I think it would make a lovely and surprising gift.

When it comes to homeware and gifts, you really can't go wrong with Amara! I have already talked about the shop on my blog and since then I have been obsessed. I love their selection of high end and unusual homeware as well as the range of brands. Here's my spring homeware wish list:
1. Kate Spade Pencil Cup (£21): I adore literally EVERYTHING from Kate Spade! The products are minimalist yet chic and gorgeous. I love this pencil cup, it's so cute and it would be perfect for my desk.
2. Trigg Small Copper Wall Planters (£25, set of two): I also think these would look great in my newly redecorated office or in the kitchen. I adore anything copper so this is naturally something I need in my life.
3. Kate Spade Telegram Notepad (£10): List making and taking notes is something I'm always doing to remind myself and to stay organised. I always need new memo blocks, notepads and sticky notes so why not get an adorably chic notepad!
4. The Where, The Why and The How Book (£15.99): If you've been following me on Twitter (ofbeautyand) or Instagram recently then you will know that I've become obsessed with reading books, buying books and watching booktube so obviously this caught my eye.
5. Cocolux Exotic Amber and Spice Candle (£35): As well as books, beauty products and bath bombs, I also have a problem with buying candles - I can't stop, and I won't stop. So the combination of a candle and copper packaging is a hit with me.
Dare I say it...Christmas! I don't know how this year has gone by so quickly as last Christmas (don't sing it!) seems like it was only a few months ago and it's almost here again. October went by far too quickly and we can now say that Christmas is next month which is madness. While I'm not a massive fan of Christmas, I do love gift giving and the cosy decor at this time of the year and I wish fairy lights, Christmas trees and tinsel were a year round decor option but sadly not.

Let's start with one of the cosiest items and one that is the most needed at this time of the year - a super cosy, soft duvet cover and pillow case set. I have the king size option (230cm x 220cm) but there are options from a single (138cm x 200cm) to a super king (260cm x 220cm) size. I adore the stag design as I think it's great for this time of the year, the colours are so cosy and homely and the material is incredibly soft and comfortable - it makes me not want to get out of bed each morning even though I'm a morning person!
I live in Manchester, England so I'm used to the rain and cold but recently it's started to turn very chilly so this set has been an essential already and it isn't even winter yet! Another great thing about this set is that it is reversible so you can have this gorgeous creamy, red and taupe colour option or you can have a more brown and cream colour option to suit your bedroom decor and colour scheme. I adore candles at this time of the year but you can't always have them on so diffusers are a great way of adding a constant scent without being a potential fire hazard. We have a diffuser is almost every main room of the house and this one is currently in the hallway as it adds such a lovely musky, slightly festive scent when someone comes into the house. Also the packaging is simple and unassuming so it can be added to any room without looking out of place or odd. The scent isn't very strong but it's great for the price and I'd definitely recommend this brand, especially the candles which are so inexpensive.
There are a few products that signify cosiness and hygge feelings such as candles, blankets and soft cushions but the main item for me that brings out comforting, homely and inviting feelings are fairy lights. I have fairy lights on my bookshelves all year round as they are gorgeous but it's this time of the year when they are more acceptable all around the house so I'm taking full advantage.
I bought these fairy lights a few months ago as blog props...#BloggerProblems but I've been using them everywhere. I think they look fantastic on the headboard with the Happy Linen Company Stag set as the two together have a cosy, natural woodland theme going on which I adore for the colder months and festive season. I'd definitely recommend these lights as they can be used outside, they are really sturdy, they look so cute and for the price, they are perfect for the upcoming festive season.
I've already mentioned these final two items within a recent womens gift guide but I had to mention them again as they are ideal festive and wintery homeware items. This cute, mantelpiece clock is perfect for your living room as it too has a cosy forest theme and the flowers, leaves and animals on the clock give me all of the cosy, woodland feelings. I think it would also make a lovely gift this Christmas.
Last but not least is one of my current favourite homeware items and the most impressive diffusers I've ever tried. The scent of this diffuser is the essence of Christmas for me and every time I walk past it, it is lovely and the strength of the scent is perfect. It's strong, I love the packaging and I cannot recommend it enough!

It's starting to feel a little like spring is on it's way and it is making me long for new, fresh and spring-like changes to my home. Spring is one of my favourite seasons as it feels like starting fresh and there's nothing I like more than refreshing our home with new accessories or renovations which we've just undergone with both bathrooms.
Today's post is going to feature some of the 2019 interior design trends that I'm loving as well as a homeware and accessories wish list from FishPools. Feminine Tones
The first trend that I'm all onboard for is the introduction of feminine and softer tones such as blush pink, botanical greens, neutrals and natural shades - that colour palette is the epitome of spring interiors! You might not want to opt into this trend by fully redecorating a room but you don't need to worry as Fishpools have a gorgeous selection of home accessories such as throws, cushions, curtains and more to add those feminine tones into your home without breaking the bank. I have my eye on some of the super soft throws, blush toned cushions and their rugs of varying degrees of neutral shades including cream, grey, pink, silver and taupe, which start at a very reasonable £39.

Light Wood Floors
Another trend I'm loving is for light wood flooring which we already have in the living room, dining room and kitchen. I've always been drawn to lights shades as it makes any room much brighter, lighter and fresher which is what I'm after, especially at this time of the year. From vinyl flooring and carpets to laminate and wooden flooring, Fishpools offers a great selection. If it was possible to build my 'dream' house, it would include these three interior trends for 2019 as well as countless options from Fishpools. 90% White, 10% Colour
The final trend I wanted to mention ties into my previous point and that's the addition of minimal (don't type the phrase 'pops of colour'...) items of colour. I've never been a fan of brighter or jewel toned shades when it comes to homeware and interiors so the 10% of colour for me would have to include pinks, neutral greens, grey and metallic shades. Tiger UK is one of those stores that I have always wanted to visit but there isn't a store very close to me, the nearest is in Preston. Tiger is a Danish store, it's Flying Tiger Copenhagen in Denmark, that stocks homeware, stationery, gadgets, games, food and so much more. It's like a Danish Ikea with amazing value products, just without the furniture.
I was very kindly sent a range of super affordable, cute and colourful homeware and stationery items ranging in price from £2 to £6. My favourite item from the products I was sent is definitely the String Light Chain (£6) which is adorable and perfect for adding colour and a surprising amount of light to any room. Student accommodation is always very neutral, boring and generic so colourful homeware is a quick, easy and affordable way to temporarily add a personal touch to your room. It's 2.5 metres long so it's great to place around a headboard, shelves or bookcase - it is also battery operated.
If you've been following my blog for a while then you'll know that I am a bit of a stationery addict; I am always on the lookout for more cute stationery *you can never have too much stationery*. I have an adorable *Office Set (£2) which is perfect for any student as it is such a compact set (so it's great for small flats with minimal storage) and it contains a mini stapler, staples, mini highlighter, scissors, tape and page markers. This cute set would be great for anyone, not just students! I also received a *Snake Look A5 Notebook (£2); I have so many notebooks but I always need more. I used up countless notebooks during college and university particularly for notes, lists and...doodles because procrastination does happen in lectures!
Lastly, two fruity and colourful homeware items, the *Fruit Photo Frame (£2). I think the prices for Tiger products is amazing and I really wish there was a store closer to me because I'd end up there every week! The final item is an adorable *Strawberry Wall Clock (£4) which would be perfect for a shared kitchen and if it does become the victim of student parties then it's cheap to replace!
Overall, I'm so happy with all of the products! They're all so inexpensive but great quality and perfect for students because of the price and they can add so much colour to a bland student room. I wish there was a store in Manchester, we have such a large student population, I don't know why there isn't a Tiger store in Manchester already. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Today's post is another Mother's Day gift guide featuring a range of gorgeous gift ideas (for Mother's Day or birthdays) from the wonderful people over at Blueberry Tree, they have a fantastic variety of gifts to choose from. Let's start with the homeware items! Yankee Candle is one of my favourite candle brands, I've tried so many and some of my favourites have to include Witches Brew, Christmas Cookie and Midsummers Night but I haven't really tried any of the fruity or very floral scents. This gift set contains a small jar of the Red Raspberry scent as well as two votive candles in True Rose and Peony.
I haven't tried any of these scents from Yankee Candle so I'm excited to try them! I've had a sniff of each of them and they're all gorgeous, especially the True Rose scent. All three are absolutely perfect for spring which finally seems to be on it's way. Small jar candles are some of my favourite Yankee Candle sizes as they look so cute, it's a great way to try a scent without buying the huge large jars and they are a little cheaper. The small jars are usually £8.99 each and the votive candles are around £1.99 each - it's such a nice trio to include within a cute gift set.
The Red Raspberry scent contains notes of juicy orange, mandarin, black cherry, raspberries, strawberries, black currant, strawberry leaves, sweet musk and crystallised sugar which sounds delicious. True Rose contains notes of bergamot, apple, rose honeysuckle, white flowers, musk and woody notes. Lastly, Peony contains notes of sweet peony, pink peony and blonde woods.
Onto the final homeware item, it's an adorable ring or earring dish. It comes in the cutest packaging, it's so reasonably priced and I adore the design. It's a ceramic dish that is approx. 8cm by 8cm so it's a small size but it would be perfect to store rings, earrings, small stationery items or even as a mini coaster/dish for chocolate, cookies or small snacks.
Another item with the same packaging and design is this adorable compact mirror. The ring dish and compact mirror would be great to gift as a matching duo or as part of a gift hamper for Mother's Day. The design for both items is so colourful, cute and perfect for spring.
I came across this brand in a cute greeting card store in Chester a couple of years ago and loved the branding and product designs so I'm so happy to have one of her items. The cute pouch came in a lovely Katie Loxton gift bag and it was beautifully packaged. The pouch I have is the bright pink 'free spirit' design but there are various options to choose from with numerous messages on the front in her signature gold text as well as cute keyrings, candles, notebooks and stunning bucket bags.
The design features hand drawn gold floating feather icons which are so pretty and match the bright fuchsia pink so well. I also think that the feather illustrations compliment the 'free spirit' design and message perfectly. The pouch material has a luxury saffiano finish, a branded gold zip and a grey lining. The size I have is the 35cm by 20cm option which is a great size for travelling or keeping in a larger handbag - it would be perfect to store your passport, tickets and travel documents! The pouch could also be used as a cute clutch or to keep in your to store important items such as your cards, change, tickets, ID or your phone.
I think all of these gifts would make wonderful, unique Mother's Day or birthday gifts this year! I adore the Yankee Candle set and the beautiful Katie Loxton pouch.
