Case Happy iPad Mini Case

Monday, March 02, 2015
If you have been following my blog for a while, you may know that I have a fantastic iPad mini case from Kujali (here) which I love although as with my phone and other tech, I do like to change my cases all of the time. I was kindly allowed to pick a case from Casehappy.co.uk, here are my thoughts!

I received the *Case Happy iPad Mini Tri-Fold Slim Smart Stand Case Cover (£17.99, Grey) which is designed for the iPad mini, iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3. The outer material is synthetic leather and the inner material is microfibre which is so soft so it won't scratch the screen. It has a magnetic closure and an wake/sleep function so when you close the case it will put the device into sleep until you open it again.

Firstly, I LOVE the colour - it may be a little boring but I personally love the colour. I like the design too I can't get mine to stay folded as shown on the website, it just collapses which is annoying but it folds in the ways. It was easy to secure my iPad mini into the case and it is quite secure without it being too difficult to remove from the case.

The outer material is so smooth and soft which seems like a positive which it is to an extent but it also means that it scratches/marks fairly easily. It is a light weight case but it feels relatively durable so it would be great for travelling. There is easy access to all buttons/slots.

Overall, it works well, I like the design and I LOVE the colour. It is travel friendly, light weight and it keeps my iPad mini secure; however it doesn't fold as shown on the website and it can scratch easily. I am still happy with the case but I wouldn't pay the full retail price; it is currently on sale though. Overall rating: ✭✭✭✩✩, 3/5.

Have you bought any tech cases from Case Happy?

Review: Pauls Boutique iPad Mini Case

Thursday, June 05, 2014
I was very kindly sent this iPad mini case to review from Venom Communications but the brand is Paul's Boutique. I have only had a couple of cases for my iPad mini, a super cheap one and the Kujali one (which is amazing!). However, I wanted to try one that was a bit more summery and bright and oh boy did I get it!
I have the *Paul's Boutique iPad Mini Case by Venom Communications (£29.99). Firstly, can we have a moments silence for this case and packaging, it is so luminous and colourful, I love it! The presentation/packaging of the case is fantastic, I think it would make a lovely gift - and delivery was very very quick. I love the bright pink and metallic blue fake croc skin effect on the straps, I think it looks amazing especially on the patent shiny black background of the case itself. I adore the look of the case, it is perfect for summer! The case is shiny so I think it would be easy to wipe clean and it is thin/small so it would be great for travelling and keeping in your bag.

The case holds my iPad mini in place with two elasticated straps on each corner which hold it in place really really well, I don't think my iPad mini will be falling out of it ever! The only problem with the straps/fastening is that the straps on the top right corner press the volume buttons downs which isn't great so I had to keep the straps off that corner and behind my iPad which then obstructed the camera view slightly - again this isn't great but I can work with it like this. Although even with only three corners held down, my iPad mini was so secure in the case, it doesn't budge! But when typing the straps on the bottom two corner do block the keyboard slightly but you can still type.

There is a hole in the back of the case for the camera which is great so you don't have to take your iPad mini out of the case to take a photo. The lining inside is super soft so it won't damage the screen in any way and it is bright red - I love the bright, almost neon colours of this case. The case holds the iPad mini vertically so you cannot strand it horizontally as I can with my Kujali case.

Overall, I adore the packaging, presentation and the almost neon colours of this case - it looks perfect for summer! The hole for the camera is great along with the super soft interior and wipe clean case surface. The case holds my iPad mini so securely, I don't have to worry about it at all. However the straps are not ideal as they push down the volume buttons and obscure the camera view and keyboard slightly - if the iPad was held in by a plastic frame and the case could stand horizontally on a table then it would be just perfect! ★★★☆☆, 3.5 out of 5 stars from me.

Have you tried this iPad mini case? What do you think of the design?

Week in photographs # 31

Saturday, July 27, 2013
Here is another week in photographs, is it just me or are the weeks passing very quickly! My week has consisted of: sale shopping (not a surprise there!), writing summer/holiday blog posts, looking for hair style/cut ideas, getting ready for holiday, thunderstorms and being in the local newspaper!

Firstly, I was in featured in my local newspaper because of my First class degree which I am really happy about. The newspaper editors also mentioned that I am going to donate my hair (about 8/9 inches of it) to the Little Princess Trust which is a UK organisation that makes real hair wigs, free of charge, for children suffering from cancer - I am having my hair cut on the 1st august and I will make a separate post about it and the Little Princess Trust but if you want to check out their site - click here

Also this week I have been writing some summer/holiday/travel themed blog posts that I will publish while I am on holiday, I will be away for two weeks from the beginning(ish) of august to mid august. I have been doing some panicky last minute holiday shopping this week which is ok because all of the final reductions are on now and there are some amazing bargains, especially on Newlook, Oasis, House of Fraser and Dorothy Perkins. There will be some sale haul posts coming soon.

Finally, this week I have been missing the hot sunny weather because it has been raining and horrible here - there were some really strong thunder and lightening storms this week that physically shook the house! I guess the British summer is over now! Oh and the royal abby was born and named this week which is exciting.

My favourites = Perfume: Diptque Vetvyerio. TV/Movies: The Heat, Modern Family and Dexter. Food: watermelon and noodles - not together! Apps: A Beautiful Mess and Instatext.

I hope everyone had a great week x
