Yes! Nurse Partnership with Breast Cancer Care

Wednesday, February 11, 2015
I am a massive fan of hand cream and I have a fairly large stash of hand creams from numerous brands such as L'Occitane, The Body Shop and one of my current favourites is the My Trusty Sunflower Lavender Hand Cream. I recently received another lovely hand cream although this one is a little bit special.

I have the *Yes! Nurse Hand Cream + Super Sleeve (£8.49, 50ml) which is not only an award winning hand cream but Yes! Nurse has partnered with Breast Cancer Care to raise money for women in need of essential care and support. The special heart sleeve is handmade in the UK and aims to raise awareness of breast cancer care and encourage everyone to donate to such an important cause. It is a very special cause for me particularly as a few of my family members and family friends have suffered with breast cancer. A guaranteed 50p of each sale goes to Breast Cancer Care!

The hand cream itself is just fantastic, it doesn't irritate my eczema at all and it absorbs so quickly (it's one of the fastest absorbing hand creams I have tried) and it is very deeply moisturising too. I also love the packaging and the super cute sleeve is a nice touch. The hand cream is not tested on animals, it contains a lot of natural ingredients such as active manuka honey and omega 3, 6 and 9; and it makes my hands feel so nourished, moisturised and so soft.

Overall, I not only love the brands partnership with Breast Cancer Care and their cruelty free stance but the product itself is truly fantastic and I cannot recommend it enough. It ticks every box for a very nourishing but very fast absorbing hand cream that doesn't irritate my skin - that's no easy task. I also think it would make a lovely valentines gift as well as proving a much needed donation to a deserving, important charity. I definitely have my eye on the large 300ml bottle!

Tuesday, February 10, 2015
Valentines day is just around the corner so I have another valentines gift guide with a couple of discount codes! This post contains mostly gifts for girlfriends/wives/friends as well as a couple of unisex gift ideas. This is not a sponsored post and this post doesn't contain affiliate links.

1. Diptyque Rosafolia Scented Candle (£44, 190g): Who wouldn't want to receive a Diptyque candle, they are so luxurious and pretty! They have a wide range of scents but this rose scented candle looks and sound divine and perfect for valentines day!

2. Latest In Beauty His & Hers Beauty Box (£14.95): A bit of an unique gift idea; it is a beauty box filled with products for men and women such as a mascara, nail polish, fragrance samples and mens skincare. It contains products from a wide range of brands from Dove and Crabtree & Evelyn to Charlotte Tilbury, Jimmy Choo and Rituals.

3. Floric Valentines Hat Box (£39.99): Flowers in general are typical valentines day gifts and they are perfect for this time of the year when the weather is dull and grey, as they add much needed colour to the home! Not to mention flowers are lovely gifts to receive anyway, especially roses! If you use the code LOVE20 you can get 20% off your order - it expires on valentines day!

4. Love Lolly May Sweet Box (£14.99): Another more unique gift, a sweet cube full of retro sweets such as love hearts and jelly beans. I loved these sweets as a child and I think it would make a cute, nostalgic gift. You can receive 10% off your order with the code LOVE

William May Wish List + Valentines Gift Ideas

Monday, February 09, 2015
Another day, another valentines day gift guide however this one is a little different as I have picked a few pieces that I would personally LOVE to receive! All four pieces are from the watch and jewellery retailer, William May which stock brands such as Daniel Wellington, Rolex and Rotary as well as gorgeous vintage jewellery.

1. Daniel Wellington Classy Ladies Sheffield St Andrews Rose Brown Leather Strap Watch 0900DW (£101.15, sale) which has to be one of the most beautiful watches I have seen. Daniel Wellington is a brand that has been so popular in the blogging community for the past year or so and it seems as though every blogger and their mum has a Daniel Wellington watch. I would love this watch! The face looks so feminine but the leather strap makes it look a little more masculine and rugged.

2. Daniel Wellington Classy Ladies Sheffield St Andrews Rose  Black Leather Strap Watch 0901DW (£101.15, sale). This is one of the watches that bloggers have been raving about and it is easy to see why. The design is so classic and elegant. I think both Daniel Wellington watches will compliment so many outfits, from casual everyday outfits to more formal, office appropriate attire.

3. 9ct White Gold Blue Topaz Set Pendant & Curb Chain (£49), if you have been reading my blog for a while you may know that I love dainty, simple, classic jewellery and this beautiful necklace fits the bill perfectly. I love the subtle gold metal combined with an almost pastel blue topaz gemstone. I think it would make a gorgeous valentines day gift.

4. Yellow Gold Cubic Zirconia Earrings (£19), a much more affordable opinion however it is still feminine. Jewellery is such a classic gift and I think you can't really go wrong with the items I have picked. I would be very happy to receive any of these pieces.

William May has a large range of watches, jewellery and vintage pieces to choose from. They offer free delivery on orders over £100 and 30 day hassle free returns.

What do you think of the pieces I have chosen? Would you like to received these items as a valentines day gift?

Valentines Day Makeup Look Ft. MeMeMe

Thursday, February 05, 2015
MeMeMe is a brand that I have heard so many good things about so when I was offered the opportunity to try out some of their products, I jumped at the chance. MeMeMe have brought out a new valentines inspired collection called the *MeMeMe Soft Rose Collection (£27.50) which contains five full sized products. I think these gift sets would make great presents but they are also fantastic if you haven't tried anything from the brand before so you can try out a range of their products.

The set contains: Long Lasting Nail Gloss in Ambitious, Quad Palette in Opulent Eyes, Beat The Blues in Pink Pearl, Light Me Up Gloss in Illuminate and one of the MeMeMe Shimmer Stacks in Pink Zest. The range of products is great as is the packaging/presentation of the gift set, in my opinion. The set is a fantastic day to evening set as it contains all of the products for a soft day look which can easily be transformed into a sexy, darker evening look.
Here is the daytime look I created, although this could easily be an evening look for some. Firstly, I applied the gorgeous Beat The Blues Highlighter to the top of the cheek bones, down the nose, on the cupid bow and a little on the brow bone for a natural, glowing look. I thought the highlighter would be too pink toned on my skin but it looks gorgeous! Next up, the cheeks, I used the Shimmer Stack on the apples and back of the cheeks, although you have to be careful and light handed with this product as it is very pigmented. If you go a little overboard with this blush you can always buff it out with your foundation or powder brush.

Now onto the eyes, the quad contains a range of beautiful metallic jewel tones such as a vivid burgundy, a deeper bronzy brick red, a golden bronze shade and a metallic violet shade. For this look, I used the brighter red toned shade all over the lid, focusing on the outer corner. Then I applied the bronze shade along the upper and lower lash line; I love the golden bronze shade combined with the rich, bright burgundy. The shadows appear to be baked but they are quite pigmented. I had to blend the shades well for a softer look; I finished the eyes with a few coats of black mascara.

Lastly onto the lips, I applied a coat of the Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in BG941 and then the Light Me Up Gloss in Illuminate which is such a pretty gloss on its own or paired with pink or nude shades. The gloss has a light in the lid which would be perfect for travelling or to keep in your handbag for touch ups.

Overall, I'm so happy with the finished look, the eyeshadow shades are gorgeous as is the lipgloss. The gloss is one of the most long lasting glosses I have tried; and the highlighter has made it into my daily makeup routine. I think this makeup would make be prefect for valentines day although you could make it evening appropriate with more of the deeper burgundy shade in the outer corner and some black winged liner or a burgundy lip. I will have a few more looks on my social media accounts using this set leading up to valentines day.

What do you think of my valentines day makeup look? Have you tried any MeMeMe cosmetics?
