Summer Makeup Essentials Ft. MeMeMe
MeMeMe is a brand that I have only tried a few products from but everything I've tried, I have loved. I reviewed their gorgeous, soft rose collection earlier this year and I was so impressed with the light up gloss and eyeshadow quad. Here are some of my summer essentials from MeMeMe!

Let's start with the bronzers, I recently posted a post all about bronzers for pale skin and the *MeMeMe Blush Me! (£8.95) in Bronze was definitely one of my faves from that post. The Blush Me! bronzer is perfect for my super pale skin as it looks really natural, it blends easily and it just gives my skin a pretty sun kissed glow. The other bronzer I have is the *MeMeMe Goddess Rocks (£12.95) which don't come in the most user friendly packaging and the shade is a little too bronzy/dark and golden for my skin tone but I think it would look gorgeous on deep skin tones.

Even though it's still summer, my skin is always dry so the *MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Moisturising Face Base (£15) is an essential pre-foundation step in my makeup routine. It smells so nice, it leaves the skin smooth and ready for makeup. I will get SO much use out of it during the upcoming colder months! Also during the summer I don't tend to wear a lot of foundation so I rely on concealer; multi-use products are really handy as we have been on a couple of mini staycations and anything that saves space is great. The *MeMeMe Correct & Perfect Concealer Kit in Buff (£7) has been a staple over the past few weeks, the shade match is fantastic for me, it doesn't look heavy or caky on the skin and it has a powder in the base of the compact. I thought the concealer (which isn't a corrector) would be waxy and hard but it is creamy and surprisingly  easy to blend particularly over the primer.

Now onto the eyes, the *MeMeMe Ultimate Eye Palette in Soft Rose (£15) combines the beautiful soft tones with fine metallic shimmer and it's gorgeous! There is only one matte shade which is a downside to this palette in my opinion but all of the shades are smooth and perfect for a quick wash of colour on the lids. I've been using the cream shade all of the lid and brow bone for a bright eyed, fresh look. It is also a great neutral day to night palette; you can dampen your brush and get more pigmented, vidid shades. For the looks above I also used the metallic *MeMeMe Opulent Eyes Quad (£6.95)

Last but not least, for summer I prefer to use more creamy and nude lip products as I don't want to be worrying about a bold lip on a hot day. The *MeMeMe Velvet Finish Lip Glide in Rich Truffle (£6.95) is the perfect brown nude shade for everyday; it is comfortable and long wearing. It's a very Kylie Jenner shade!

Have you tried anything from MeMeMe? What do you think of the summer looks I've created?

Valentines Day Makeup Look Ft. MeMeMe

Thursday, February 05, 2015
MeMeMe is a brand that I have heard so many good things about so when I was offered the opportunity to try out some of their products, I jumped at the chance. MeMeMe have brought out a new valentines inspired collection called the *MeMeMe Soft Rose Collection (£27.50) which contains five full sized products. I think these gift sets would make great presents but they are also fantastic if you haven't tried anything from the brand before so you can try out a range of their products.

The set contains: Long Lasting Nail Gloss in Ambitious, Quad Palette in Opulent Eyes, Beat The Blues in Pink Pearl, Light Me Up Gloss in Illuminate and one of the MeMeMe Shimmer Stacks in Pink Zest. The range of products is great as is the packaging/presentation of the gift set, in my opinion. The set is a fantastic day to evening set as it contains all of the products for a soft day look which can easily be transformed into a sexy, darker evening look.
Here is the daytime look I created, although this could easily be an evening look for some. Firstly, I applied the gorgeous Beat The Blues Highlighter to the top of the cheek bones, down the nose, on the cupid bow and a little on the brow bone for a natural, glowing look. I thought the highlighter would be too pink toned on my skin but it looks gorgeous! Next up, the cheeks, I used the Shimmer Stack on the apples and back of the cheeks, although you have to be careful and light handed with this product as it is very pigmented. If you go a little overboard with this blush you can always buff it out with your foundation or powder brush.

Now onto the eyes, the quad contains a range of beautiful metallic jewel tones such as a vivid burgundy, a deeper bronzy brick red, a golden bronze shade and a metallic violet shade. For this look, I used the brighter red toned shade all over the lid, focusing on the outer corner. Then I applied the bronze shade along the upper and lower lash line; I love the golden bronze shade combined with the rich, bright burgundy. The shadows appear to be baked but they are quite pigmented. I had to blend the shades well for a softer look; I finished the eyes with a few coats of black mascara.

Lastly onto the lips, I applied a coat of the Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in BG941 and then the Light Me Up Gloss in Illuminate which is such a pretty gloss on its own or paired with pink or nude shades. The gloss has a light in the lid which would be perfect for travelling or to keep in your handbag for touch ups.

Overall, I'm so happy with the finished look, the eyeshadow shades are gorgeous as is the lipgloss. The gloss is one of the most long lasting glosses I have tried; and the highlighter has made it into my daily makeup routine. I think this makeup would make be prefect for valentines day although you could make it evening appropriate with more of the deeper burgundy shade in the outer corner and some black winged liner or a burgundy lip. I will have a few more looks on my social media accounts using this set leading up to valentines day.

What do you think of my valentines day makeup look? Have you tried any MeMeMe cosmetics?
