Library Fragrances Mountain Air Cologne

The Library of Fragrance is one of my current favourite fragrance brands, not only do they releases very unique, exquisite fragrances but the prices are so reasonable. I have reviewed three of their fragrances previously including: fireplace, lavender (which I have sadly used up) and dark chocolate, click here to check out the review. 

Today I am sharing my thoughts on one of their newer releases which I am quite excited about! I have the *The Library of Fragrance Mountain Air Cologne (£15, 30ml) which I think is perfect for this time of the year. As always the bottles are quite simple and a little plain, I wish they looked a bit more interesting but the fragrance and low price point more than makes up for it. 

In the UK spring has just sprung but it is still quite chilly, grey and gloomy (in Manchester it always is!) so this fragrance is perfect, in my opinion. To me the fragrance is a mixture of crisp woods, fresh water and the seaside; there is definitely a mountain pine scent but it also smells incredibly fresh, light and spring like as well. I think this scent is definitely unisex as overall it is fairly masculine but not so much so than women couldn't wear it. 

One point I love about the library fragrances, as well as the scent range and price, is the spray dispenser - it sprays such a fine mist! Also I find this fragrance lasts a little bit longer on me than the fireplace, lavender and dark chocolate scents but the longevity overall isn't amazing as the fragrances are colognes rather than an eau de parfum or even an eau de toilette. 

Overall, I love the fresh, almost masculine woodsy fragrance and I think a lot of people would love it too. The price is amazing and Boots usually have a 2 for £25 offer on The Library of Fragrance range they stock so it is even more affordable. I would definitely recommend this scent! My Current Favourite Fragrances

Perfumes are one of my favourite beauty products to buy and to receive as gifts as well; I think everyone loves to received perfume! I do have quite a large perfume collection although considering my fragrance wish list, my collection could be so much larger! Today's post is all about my three favourite fragrances of the past month or two. 

I have two fragrances from Yves Rocher; Yves Rocher was one of my favourite brands of 2014! I have loved their products, especially fragrance since before I started my blog and now I am so happy to work with them on occasion. First up, the *Yves Rocher Comme Une Evidence L'extract De Parfum (£25.50, sale, RRP £51). Until now, I didn't have a perfume in my collection with a bulb spray on it; I think it makes the bottle look so much more expensive and luxe. The bottle is just gorgeous and I think it would make such a lovely gift, especially for mothers day which is coming up next month. The perfume itself is musky but feminine and very sophisticated. I wouldn't recommend it for teenagers but I think the 25-45 age range would be perfect for this perfume; although my sister has been trying to steal it from me and she's 19 so it all depends on personal preference. 

The second fragrance from Yves Rocher is aimed at a younger audience, it is the *Yves Rocher FlowerParty By Night (£19.25 for 50ml sale, RRP £38.50) which is far less musky and evening appropriate. I love this fragrance as a daytime, casual perfume as it so easy to wear. It smells quite sugary sweet but in a good way rather than cloying or really overpowering. The longevity of both fragrances is about 6 hours on me however this will different on everyone. 

The last winter fragrance favourite is the *Library Of Fragrance Lavender Cologne (£15) which I have mentioned on my blog a couple of times already as I love it so much! I adore anything lavender scented and this is no exception; I have even been using it as a linen spray as the scent of lavender is so relaxing to me. The longevity isn't great at about 3 hours on me so I wish they would make a eau de parfum version of this cologne. It is also lovely mixed with the other fragrances they have, for example, the lavender and dark chocolate fragrances worn together is an unexpected but gorgeous pairing. Overall, I think the Yves Rocher fragrances are just gorgeous and Yves Rocher always seems to have a sale on. Their fragrances are lovely and traditional in terms of the notes and packaging in my opinion. Whereas The Library Of Fragrances colognes are so unique! I would highly recommend all three, I have been wearing them constantly and they would also make great birthday/mothers day gifts too.

Unique Christmas Gifts Ft. Library Fragrances

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few months you will know that Library Fragrances have taken the beauty world by storm with their...unusual fragrance scents such as dirt, playdoh, snow, pure soap, sunshine, black pepper and more! I have my eye on quite a few more! I was kindly sent two fragrances to review and I won the Fireplace scent in a blog giveaway. 

Firstly, my overall favourite fragrance of the three which is the *The Library Of Fragrance Lavender Cologne Spray (£15, 30ml). I have loved the scent of lavender for years, it just reminds me of summer sunshine and it is so relaxing. The perfume is a gorgeous lavender scent although it is a perfume lavender scent rather than pure natural lavender, in my opinion. However, the scent is still heavenly, relaxing and calming. The scent longevity isn't amazing, it lasts for a maximum of around 5 hours on me but the fragrance is a lot cheaper than most currently on the market. Also it is a cologne which are less concentrated so you would expect then to be lighter and have less staying power. For more information on colognes, click here.

Next up, the *The Library Of Fragrance Dark Chocolate Cologne (£15, 30ml) which as the name would suggest is a gorgeous deep, rich dark chocolate scent! The scent is quite creamy though rather than being bitter. The combination of the dark chocolate and lavender colognes sprayed one after the other is just gorgeous; I wouldn't have ever thought that lavender and dark chocolate would be made into fragrances, never mind them smelling heavenly together but they do! Again the longevity isn't fantastic, it lasts for around 4/5 hours on me but it may last longer on others. 

Last but not least is the fragrance that I won in a blog giveaway a month or two ago which was my first choice of fragrances to try from this brand. It is The Library Of Fragrance Fireplace Cologne (£15, 30ml) which I have to say is one of the more unusual scents available from The Library Of Fragrance. I didn't know what to expect with this fragrance but it is surprisingly gorgeous, in my opinion, my dad disagrees! To me the fragrance smells almost exactly like the Yankee Candle Witches Brew Halloween Tea Lights - musky and mysterious. It is what I imagine Hogwarts to smell like (yes, I am a bit of a harry potter nerd). The Fireplace and Dark Chocolate fragrances make an unusual but interesting combination too. Fireplace is one of the most gorgeous and unique fragrances I have in my collection. 

Overall, I am so impressed with the fragrances, I don't know how they manage to capture a scent and the imagination so perfectly - especially with the Dark Chocolate and Fireplace colognes! Yes, the longevity isn't amazing but the price and unusual scent range is. I would definitely recommend Library Fragrances! They can be purchased from The Library Of Fragrance website and some are available from Boots stores and the Boots website. I also think they would be fantastic, unusual and unexpected christmas gifts that are sure to get everyone talking! I love how interchangeable the fragrances are, the Fireplace and Lavender colognes make a really nice combination I have just discovered, like sweet smoky liquorice!

The Library Of Fragrance have just launched a range of four limited edition christmas fragrances - Eggnog, Cranberry, Christmas Bouquet and Christmas in New York, the latter I need in my life. Stat. These four fragrances are cheaper than the regular range as they are only £9.99 each! Bargain!
