- January Wish List -

Wednesday, January 22, 2014
My first wish list of 2014, I love the sales this year (although some were disappointing) and there are some items I am drooling over. This wish list is a mix of beauty, clothing and hair products. A couple of products are in the sale but the others are full price sadly.
1. TheBalm Mary Lou-manizer Highlighter (£15, Feelunique): I have wanted this highlighter ever since Estee from Essie Button (youtube and blog) mentioned it. It looks freakin' gorgeous and I love powder highlighters. As I am typing this it is currently out of stock but I have signed up to get a notification when it is back in stock - I need it!

2. Babyliss Curl Secret (£120, Asda): I first wanted the Babyliss Pro curl but this one is the cheaper version, although it is still really expensive, in my opinion. I have watched so many demos and reviews of this product, everyone seems to be raving about it. I really want it, although it appears to be out of stock pretty much everywhere and Babyliss have been warning people (on their facebook page) about fakes of this product.

3. Bershka BSK Hooded Wool Coat (£39.99, sale): If you didn't already know, I have quite a few obsessions such as candles, makeup, skater dresses, mugs, lattes and coats...it is a problem. I keep telling myself that I can't have enough coats. This one from Bershka is just divine, it is everything I love in a coat. Currently it is out of stock in what I think is my size. Has anyone bought from Bershka before, if so what are the sizes like? Sadly I don't think this is available online now, it may be in stores.

4. Smashbox Full Exposure Palette (£36): Do I need another neutral palette, no. Do I really really want this one, yes! It looks like the Lorac pro palette that I can't get my hands on. The top row consists of shimmery shades and the bottom row are all matte - amazing! I may have to treat myself (yet again) before it goes out of stock...

5. Rodial Glam Balm Lip Balm (£10.50, sale, Asos): I have mentioned this product in a few posts such as monthly favourites and my lip balm post. I have a mini tube that I received in a set and I love it. It is more like a treatment balm than just a regular lip balm.

There is my January wish list *drools on keyboard*. What is on your wish list for January? x

Week in photographs #19

Sunday, May 05, 2013

My week has consisted of: really bad eczema (glam I know), lots and lots of shopping, magazine freebies, sunshine, empty reviews, cake pops and I finally submitted my dissertation.

Firstly, Uni, I have finished my final assignment/essay for university now! I submitted my dissertation on Wednesday so I don't have any more uni, which instead of making my happy, I am a bit upset by it - I have been in school/academia since I was 4 years old and now I have to be in the 'real world' - I don't like it. Although I am looking at masters degrees - I have found a business psychology masters that I want to do at the university of Westminster which I really really want to do - so maybe this time next year I will be having interviews for a place (very exciting). I do really want to live in London!

Sticking with the positive theme, I have been shopping a lot this week (online shopping). Myself and my sister have been shopping a lot this week (we sold some things at a school fare and we won £80 on a football match on Friday - ROMA!). I have H&M, Monki, Superdrug, Urban Outfitters and Accessorize orders coming next week - watch out for a massive sister haul soon!

Also a lot of magazines have been bringing out freebies this month, I bought Elle magazine which includes a mini Benefit They're Real Mascara which I am super excited about but I haven't tried it yet. Apparently there is a Chanel mini mascara with Red magazine and some Avon freebies with Marie Claire magazine this month - I can't find them yet but I will get my hands on them!

Some blogging/review related info now, it has been really sunny (up until today) so I have been out in the garden (being scared by bees) taking photographs of lots and lots of empties so expect to see a few empties posts and reviews over the next month.

Now, the bad part of this week has been my eczema - it has been really really bad! Around my eyes and the tops of my cheeks has been the worst with my skin feeling like it is burning and super flaky and rough (not very nice, I know - anyone who has had eczema on the face will know). And it makes my eyes really sore and very puffy/swollen. My favourite products this week has to be my calamine lotion which really calms my eczema down but it does emphasise dryness and it makes my skin even whiter (you can't go outside with it on) and my Nivea hydro care lip balm during the day is amazing. And at night the Rodial Glam balm has been fantastic for my super dry lips - it is almost like a lip treatment.

Now, there is the good and the bad (and quite horrible) parts of my week. I hope everyone had a great week - look out for my UK giveaway on the 9th May (for my 1 year blog birthday)! x

Blogmas and my week in photographs!

Cold, Foggy, Wet, Raining, Candles and University assignments....a horrible good week! Firstly, the weather - as I am British I have to talk about the weather - it is an unspoken rule within British society to talk and complain about the weather at least once a day! The weather in England has been horrible over the past week or two with flooding, below freezing temperatures and rain or fog on the other days - although I know it could be worse but even when the weather is gorgeous the British like to complain anyway! Secondly, university, as I am now in my third and final year of my psychology degree I have had a lot of assignment, dissertation and lecture stress so I have been relaxing with extra pampering whenever I can which accounts for the large mountain of empty products for the month of November! Photograph below of the body, bath and pamper products I have been loving this week. I have also been burning a lot of candles this week and through out November really. This week I have been burning my Yankee Candle Eggnog Tea Lights which isn't my favourite scent by far but it is quite nice overall, although I don't think I will buy this scent again.

Now Blogmas, a blogging celebration of all things festive, autumnal and christmasy - I don't know if someone has created this before but I haven't heard of this in the blogging world. I am copying the idea from Missglamorazzi/thegridmonster/Ingrid from Youtube (who I love and I am subscribed to her youtube channel) - she is doing something called Vlogmas where she vlogs everyday until Christmas and I thought I would blog everyday until Christmas with Christmas/festive/autumnal themed blog posts!
