Father's Day: American Crew Gift Ideas
Father's Day in the UK is almost here and I don't know about you but I find buying gifts for men so difficult and I always end up with the same products and the same brands every year but my dad doesn't mind as I know he will use them but it must be boring to get the same presents every year. So when this amazing package came from American Crew I was so excited as I know my dad will love so many of these products and it's a brand he hasn't tried before.

American Crew products range from haircare, hair styling, shaving products and gift sets; the prices for individual products and gift sets is really reasonable. The products my dad would love and use the most will be the shaving products which have the khaki coloured packaging. There's the *American Crew Moisturising Shave Cream (£10.95, 150ml), the *American Crew Precision Shave Gel (£10.60, 150ml) and the *American Crew Post-Shave Cooling Lotion (£12.95, 125ml), all of which contain great ingredients such as pumpkin seed extract, tea tree leaf oil, grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, clove flower oil and many more.

They also have an amazing and very extensive range of haircare and hair styling products to choose from, some of which I have been using *sorry dad*. The *American Crew Daily Moisturising Shampoo (£13.20, 250ml) and the *American Crew Daily Conditioner (£11.50, 250ml), both smell so nice - they have a really refreshing minty scent which my dad will love!

I've been trying some of the hair styling products including the *American Crew Ultramatte (£13.95, 100ml) which is a 'medium hold fixative with no shine'. I have been using it on the ends of my hair for texture and to define the layers I have but it doesn't add shine which is fantastic for me as products like this can sometimes make my hair look really greasy! I've also been using the *American Crew Boost Cream (£13.95, 100ml) which is an 'anti-gravity styling cream' and as with the previous product, it adds texture and hold to my hair without weighting it down or making it look greasy; they also have a powder version of the Boost Cream which looks interesting.

I also have the *American Crew Moulding Clay, Firm Hold Gel, Light Hold Styling Gel, Superglue and the Grooming Spray, all of which would be great gifts on their own or you could make a Father's Day hamper and include a range of products! Overall, I think the products would make fantastic Father's Day gifts and I know my dad will love the shaving products and shampoo/conditioner especially!

Now onto a super short video with closeups of the products, if you have any problems with the video, just email me and I'll try to fix it.

Have you tried or bought anything from American Crew? What will you be buying this Father's Day?

A Pint Of Thanks Ft. Mainline Menswear

Wednesday, June 17, 2015
Father's Day is almost here *It's the 21st June - this Sunday* and the lovely people at Mainline Menswear have put together a fantastic Father's Day package that I know my dad will love! My dad is quite difficult to buy for, he is always happy with socks, shower or shaving products or basic tees.

Mainline Menswear have such a wide range of discounted and full price designer and highstreet mens clothing and accessories, from Vivienne Westwood, Adidas Originals, Converse, Clarks, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, Vans, Ralph Lauren and many more. I have the *Armani 2 Pack Crew Neck T-Shirts (£35, Black) which are under the category of 'underwear' but they would be great as lounge wear, in my opinion. The T-shirts are stretchy, smooth and they have a certificate of authenticity on the label to show that they are genuine Emporia Armani products.

Socks are always a staple gift for dads and my dad never throws anything away so he has so many socks now from almost 23 years of Father's Days! However he doesn't have a pair like this which are the *Luke 1977 3 Pack Socks (£15, sale) which look so fancy. I can't find this specific set on the Mainline Menswear site but the brand Luke 1977 have a couple of other pairs to choose from.

Lastly, in the amazing Father's Day package were a couple of items from *Blue Beards Revenge which is a brand my dad has tried before and really liked; as well as a pint glass because it will be for Father's Day after all. I think my dad will love all of these extra Father's Day gifts - the perks of having a blogger as a daughter!

Here are some of my Father's Day gift picks from Mainline Menswear:

Father's Day Gifts: Scaramouche + Fandango

Monday, June 15, 2015
Father's Day in the UK is the 21st June and this year, as with every father's day, myself and my sister don't know what to buy our dad! We have tried video games, a remote control helicopter, ties, socks and food but the only 'safe' gifts that we know he will love is bodycare/shower products.

The lovely people at Scaramouche & Fandango sent me one of their new Father's Day gifts. I have the *Scaramouche & Fandango Twin Pack (£13.50) which contains the Black Quinoa Shampoo (200ml) and the Brazilian Papaya Body Wash (200ml). Scaramouche & Fandango products are made in England, they are free from parabens and contain 97% naturally derived ingredients.

The shampoo contains cleansing black quinoa and shea butter; it smells like an aftershave my dad has but it is more subtle. The body wash contains remineralising brazilian papaya and vitamin E complex; it has a similar scent to the shampoo but it is stronger than the shampoo. The scent is exactly what my dad would choose and I think he will love both products.

Scaramouche & Fandango have some pretty fantastic Father's Day gifts and the price is really reasonable. I love the packaging, it is simple and masculine! They have great gift sets, travel sets and minis too with prices from £2.75 to £40 so there is something for all budgets and dads. Here are some of the products and sets available:

Unique Fathers Day Gifts ft. Virgin Experiences

fathers day gift guide unique gift virgin experiences
All images from the respective websites
Father's Day is fast approaching and my dads birthday has just passed, if your dad is like mine then present shopping can be such an arduous task! My dad is so difficult to buy for so myself and my sister always end up buying him socks, aftershave and cooking books; today I'm sharing my Father's Day gift ideas which are unique and are sure to make his day!

Virgin Experiences - Spa Days For Him

Spa days are not just for women as more and more men are opting for relaxing, pamper sessions. My dad isn't really into pampering *he thinks skincare is girly* but he did have a massage while on holiday a few years ago after much persuading and in the end he loved it! He does have a stressful job so I think a spa day would be perfect. Virgin Experiences have so many options to choose from including couples spa days so you could treat your dad and mum or yourself, win win! With numerous locations around the country you are bound to find something for your dad this Father's Day. The 'pamper day with champagne for two' sounds pretty amazing as does the 'pint and pedicure at So SPA by Sofitel' which is probably the one my dad would choose. Virgin Experiences also have adventure days, flying lessons, track days, hotel breaks as well as days outs/tours and even a design your own perfume experience *I need to go* and so many more to choose from. You will be sure to find a unique, special gift for your dad this Father's Day!

Not On The High Street (Dassie, Marvling Bros Ltd & CoconutGrass)

Not On The High Street is a fantastic online store for personalised gifts and I am constantly browsing: I have come across a plethora of amazing gifts. First up from Dassie, Barrett's Ridge Beer Bread Mix (£6.95) which I know my dad would love and it won't be a gift that just sits on the shelf! Another foodie gift, the Marvling Bros Ltd World's Hottest Chilli Powder In a Matchbox (£6). My dad is a massive fan of spicy, chilli laden food so this would be another perfect gift for him and it is such a unique, unexpected gift, in my opinion. Lastly the  CoconutGrass Personalised Things We Love About Dad (£9) which is a personalised wall print; again a special and unique gift that can be very personal.

Luke Drew This

Another range of amazing personalised gift ideas! T-shirts, bags, ipad/kindle cases and cushions can be personalised with childrens drawings which I think is such a cute, special gift idea. The t-shirts are available in mens, womens and childrens sizes so they would be great for Father's Day, birthdays or Mother's Day. I personally love the iPad cases and cushions. I also think the prices are very reasonable particularly for such a unique gift!

Have you bought any of these products? Have you tried/bought any Virgin Experience days/vouchers?

Father's Day Gifts: Printrbook For Facebook

Friday, June 05, 2015
If you are a blogger and you're not subscribed to the Bloggers Required newsletter then you need to and check out their site as they have amazing blogger opportunities! I was accepted on the Printrbook campaign to make my own Facebook photo book. I personally love looking through old photo albums and I have so many photos that I want to keep but virtually no more storage on my iMac so albums are a great way of preserving memories.

I have the *Printrbook For Facebook (£15.99, 50 photos) which you can easily make up on their site. All photo books, either using instagram or Facebook photos, come with free worldwide shipping which is fantastic! The only difficult part of the ordering and making process is narrowing down which photos to use, I chose a mixture of holiday photos and random ones that I wanted to keep.

Hopefully you can see from the college above that I chose some holiday photos from our time in Ajaccio, Corsica as well as Rome and Vatican City. The photos are printed really well, although the older ones aren't as clear/crisp which I expected anyway. When you have picked all of your photos, you can select the option to have the Facebook photo title, date or time printed under each photo; I chose to have the photo title and date added which is a really useful feature.

You can also customise the front of the book which a college and a title. I picked the 9 photo college and I think it looks fantastic! I;m so happy with the way the whole book has turned out and it is a great way of preserving memorable and special *or embarrassing* Facebook photos. I think these books would make amazing birthday, father's day, mother's day or anniversary gifts. Next time I would probably pick the instagram version as I have better photos on there than I do on facebook but again I am so happy with the book. My only negative point would be the size of the book as it is a little on the small size; it's approximately 10cm by 11cm.

Have you tried any photo book service/site? What do you think of my Printrbook?

Father's Day Gifts: Personalised Gift Solutions

fathers day gift idea personalised cheese board
Father's Day is almost here and if your dad is anything like mine then you know it can be so difficult to buy Father's Day gifts. Myself and my sister always buy him aftershave or socks as they are 'safe' gifts but it must be boring to receive the same things every year. So when the lovely people at Personalised Gift Solutions got in contact, I couldn't say no!

I chose the *Personalised Cheese Board Set (£29.95) which can be personalised with the name of the recipient and also the year. The board is made of environmentally friendly hevea wood and it contains three cheese knifes which feature hand finished steel blades. The wood is obtained from sustainable sources as another tree is planted when one is cut down. This gift was shortlisted for gift of the year in 2014!

The board looks great online but when it arrived, it looked even better and I think my dad will love this gift! In my opinion, anything that is personalised is so much more thoughtful and special. The board is relatively heavy and sizable so it would make a fairly substantial gift. The lid of the board rotates to reveal the knifes; I'm just so impressed with the finish of the product and the appearance, it looks pretty amazing - I love the laser engraved image of Britain on the lid too.

Overall, I can't wait to give this gift to my dad, I think he will love it, especially because of the personalised detail! Personalised Gift Solutions have so many Father's Day gifts from mugs, cufflinks, glasses/alcohol, chocolate, aprons and even personalised tools which again my dad would love! However, they don't just cater for mens gifts, they have a gorgeous range of personalised gifts for her including photo frames and vases as well as hampers and gifts for children and couples.

Have you bought anything from Personalised Gift Solutions? What are you buying for your dad this Father's Day?
