Father's Day Gift Guide
How is it June, JUNE! Where has the year gone, I feel as though I had so many plans for 2016 but the year has gone by so quickly, so 2017 watch out, I'm coming for you...Father's Day is almost here and if your dad is anything like mine then you'll probably be dreading buying gifts. My dad is so difficult to buy for, he always just wants the same aftershave every time but I want to get him something new and unexpected so I hope these gifts will fit the bill.

*Great Maps by Jerry Brotton (£12, sale)
My dad doesn't read as much as I do but I think he'd definitely be interested in this book and lets be honest, it looks gorgeous and it's massive! The book comprises the history of maps, from ancient maps to google earth. I've been flicking through it and it's so interesting - both my dad and myself adore history so I think this will be perfect for him as it's a book you can dip in and out of. It also looks gorgeous on the bookcase; I think it will be a great father's day gift for dads, guardians or granddads who are book lovers or who love history.

*SugarSin Caramel Fizz Jellies (£2.10, sale)
I freakin' love the packaging - the teal blue and copper is a gorgeous combination so aesthetically it would make a great little gift. The jellies are all natural, gluten free, palm oil free and they are vegan which is amazing and to be honest as soon as I saw that they were vegan, I had to eat them...sorry dad. I didn't expect to like them as much as I do, they are a little unusual but they are so good. I was surprised at how sour they where which I LOVE. My dad won't be getting these as they are now mine, oops #SorryNotSorry

*Noble Isle Fireside Body Lotion
I have tried a few minis from Noble Isle and I have adored them, especially the body lotions and the shower gels. They all feel so indulgent and luxurious so they'd make perfect gifts. The fireside scent is heavenly; so masculine and musky! Noble Isle have some fantastic gifts set too and The Inside Man has a massive 40% off Father's Day items so you can get a great deal on gifts - go, go, go!
Father's Day Gift Guide
I think my dad will love all of those gifts, especially the book! He is really picky to buy for so clothing, music, dvds and chocolate is off the list so I am a bit limited - I wanted to get him something he doesn't have but also something that he could use all of the time and MenKind came to the rescue!

My dad is one of those dads who has two tool boxes, who knows everything about DIY and who is always asked to do little (or massive) DIY jobs for family members and around our house so I thought, what better gift than a portable and super compact multitool from the makers of the famous swiss army knife - Victorinox. It has ten features including: a nail file, ballpoint pen, ruler (cm), ruler (inches), letter opener, tweezers, toothpick, stainless steel pin and a quadruple screwdriver - the latter I know my dad will love and use the most. You wouldn't think that so many little tools can fit into such a thin and compact credit card sized item but they do.

I think it is a fantastic, high quality and super useful Father's Day gift and it's really compact so it should fit into a credit card slot because you never know when you will need a four cornered screwdriver right...it's definitely not my thing but I know my dad will be really happy with it. I have the black one but it also comes in red too: it comes nicely packaging and it looks a bit more expensive than it actually is. MenKind have so fantastic gift ideas and products that would be perfect for Father's Day such as mugs, speakers, kitchen and BBQ gadgets, sport related gifts and some lovely personalised gifts - I think personalised gifts are some of the nicest and most thoughtful gifts you can give/receive. There is a personalised BBQ tool gift set that I know my dad would love and the weather in England has been so nice over the past few weeks that it may be time to dust off the long forgotten barbecue, although now that I've type that, it will probably rain for weeks, sorry everyone! Father's Day Gift Guide
*Grow Me Snore Ease Seed Kit (£3.99)
Annoyingly I completely forgot to photograph this last Father's Day gift but I'm going to mention it anyway. My dad is the worlds worst and loudest snorer, it's just a fact so when I came across this on the I Just Love It website, I knew it was perfect for him. It's a cutely packaging eucalyptus seed kit and eucalyptus is supposed to help reduce or stop snoring. It's a great price and a cute little gift for Father's Day.  There are other variations of seed kits from this brand too including a sunflower, coffee bean, lucky clover, basil and beer hops kits.

I think all of these gifts would be great for Father's Day and I know my dad will love them! I have a few other Father's Day gift guide posts on my blog already including one featuring some fantastic American Crew products. Now onto my super short gift guide video:

What do you think of these Father's Day gifts? What will you be treating your dad to this Father's Day?

Father's Day: American Crew Gift Ideas
Father's Day in the UK is almost here and I don't know about you but I find buying gifts for men so difficult and I always end up with the same products and the same brands every year but my dad doesn't mind as I know he will use them but it must be boring to get the same presents every year. So when this amazing package came from American Crew I was so excited as I know my dad will love so many of these products and it's a brand he hasn't tried before.

American Crew products range from haircare, hair styling, shaving products and gift sets; the prices for individual products and gift sets is really reasonable. The products my dad would love and use the most will be the shaving products which have the khaki coloured packaging. There's the *American Crew Moisturising Shave Cream (£10.95, 150ml), the *American Crew Precision Shave Gel (£10.60, 150ml) and the *American Crew Post-Shave Cooling Lotion (£12.95, 125ml), all of which contain great ingredients such as pumpkin seed extract, tea tree leaf oil, grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, clove flower oil and many more.
Father's Day: American Crew Gift Ideas
They also have an amazing and very extensive range of haircare and hair styling products to choose from, some of which I have been using *sorry dad*. The *American Crew Daily Moisturising Shampoo (£13.20, 250ml) and the *American Crew Daily Conditioner (£11.50, 250ml), both smell so nice - they have a really refreshing minty scent which my dad will love!

I've been trying some of the hair styling products including the *American Crew Ultramatte (£13.95, 100ml) which is a 'medium hold fixative with no shine'. I have been using it on the ends of my hair for texture and to define the layers I have but it doesn't add shine which is fantastic for me as products like this can sometimes make my hair look really greasy! I've also been using the *American Crew Boost Cream (£13.95, 100ml) which is an 'anti-gravity styling cream' and as with the previous product, it adds texture and hold to my hair without weighting it down or making it look greasy; they also have a powder version of the Boost Cream which looks interesting.

I also have the *American Crew Moulding Clay, Firm Hold Gel, Light Hold Styling Gel, Superglue and the Grooming Spray, all of which would be great gifts on their own or you could make a Father's Day hamper and include a range of products! Overall, I think the products would make fantastic Father's Day gifts and I know my dad will love the shaving products and shampoo/conditioner especially!

Now onto a super short video with closeups of the products, if you have any problems with the video, just email me and I'll try to fix it.

Have you tried or bought anything from American Crew? What will you be buying this Father's Day?

Quirky Gift Ideas With Flamingo Gifts

Sunday, April 26, 2015
When it comes to gift giving some of the best and most exciting gifts I have received have been a bit on the quirky, unique side. I also love to give gifts that are a bit different, unique and something that the recipient probably wouldn't have or expect. I was kindly sent a few quirky and cute gifts from the lovely people at Flamingo Gifts

Firstly, we have a gift idea for all the stationary nerds out there *you know who you are, the people with 12 notebooks along with the need to buy more*. I have the *Happy Jackson London A5 (£7.99), this notebook is currently out of stock on the website but there are other Happy Jackson notebooks to choose from. I love the cute but simplistic design and the text on the front which reads 'Great Ideas, Cunning Plans' which I think would be a great, unisex gift.

Another gift idea from the Happy Jackson range is the *Happy Jackson Instant Genius Glasses Case (£8.99) which again has the same bright, simple design as all the other cute Happy Jackson products have. I personally love this case and I think it will last a long time because it is a hard case and it feels really durable. The inside lining is bright yellow so the notebook and glasses case would be a great gift combo. I think this case would be a great fathers day gift (yes, I am super organised and early on it this year).

Last but not least, the *Bring On The Bake Off Mug (£8) which I have to say is one of my favourite mugs on their website. Myself, my mum, my sister, my aunties, cousins and most of my friends are massive fans of baking and the tv show The Great British Bake Off so this would be the perfect mug for SO many people! The design is clearly printed on both sides of the mug and it just looks so darn cute!

Overall, I love the products I was kindly sent and I think they are great, unique unisex gifts! There are so many products to choose from on the Flamingo Gifts website - you will find something for everyone from cupcake flavoured toothpaste, jewellery holders, bacon soap, candles, jewellery, books, cushions, greetings cards, baking accessories and even breaking bad theme bath products as well as many many more gift ideas! I want one of the Pyro Pet Candles, I haven't seen anything like them before. Flamingo Gifts have 1p first class delivery on all orders, how amazing is that!!

I have quite a few birthdays and events coming up over the next two months as well as fathers day; here is my Flamingo Gifts wish list & other gift ideas:

Have you bought anything from Flamingo Gifts? What do you think of my gift ideas?

Father's Day Gifts: The BlueBeards Revenge

Thursday, June 12, 2014
Father's Day in the UK is coming up (it is this sunday actually!) and I do always struggle to find things for my dad but fragrance is usually a safe bet and I find it is one thing that people don't regularly buy for themselves. The Bluebeards Revenge is a male skincare/grooming brand. The brand does not test on animals, the packaging can be recycled and they support/advertise the male cancer charity Orchid.
I was kindly sent the *The Bluebeards Revenge Eau De Toilette (100ml natural spray, £19.99) to give to my dad, so he could test it out and I could share our thoughts. Firstly, I really like the packaging and also the brand name, it is quite masculine but simple too. The bottle is bright cobalt blue so it definitely stands out and the box can be recycled - 'remember, real men recycle'.

Inside the box there is a lot of information about prostate cancer and the male cancer charity Orchid which I think is fantastic! One thing I personally do not like about the packaging is the social media logos on the box, I think it makes the product look a bit cheap. Anyway, the top notes of the fragrance are as follows: Sicilian bergamot and ligurian basil, the heart notes: jasmine, black tea and water mint and finally the base notes: madagascan vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli, oakmoss and musk.

The fragrance to me smells really nice, it is masculine and musky - as most of my dads fragrances/aftershaves are but it is a bit light and refresh too, underneath all of the musky manly notes. My mum and sister also really like the fragrance as well as my dad. He would wear it as a daily fragrance - it is a bit strong so you would only need one/two sprays for the whole day so I think the 100ml bottle will last a long time! My dad tested this fragrance out and he thinks it is just right and it would be good for work (only one/two sprays). Also it is really affordable!

The only minor problem I have with the product is some of the information, the whole 'not for girls', strong advertising they seem to have but on the whole I really like the product, as does my dad, and I think the gift sets they make look equally as fantastic for Father's Day or birthday presents. The shaving sets, especially the barber bundle kit looks like an amazing gift! Collectively we rated this fragrance, ★★★★★, 5/5.

Have you heard of this brand before? What do you think of this mens fragrance?
