New In: Antipodes Manuka Honey Skincare

When it comes to sincere, I'm always looking for better and more effective products which isn't an easy task as I have eczema prone skin so it can be extremely dry, tight, sensitive, irritated (stinging, itchy, burning) and generally just awful when I have a bad flareup - yeah, finding skincare isn't the easiest task for me. In comes Antipodes *angels singing* as I've tried maybe eight products from them and I LOVE every single product and my skin couldn't be happier!

I was sent a couple of new products the lovely, natural New Zealand based brand. The two new products are inspired by one of their best selling products, the Manuka Honey Mask which I have and it's wonderful! All three products contain Manuka Honey which is one of 'natures most powerful healers' as it's antibacterial and it is hydrating. 

The *Antipodes Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Day Cream (£39.99, 60ml) contains bee venom, Vinanza grape (which is scientifically proven to brighten the skin), kiwi and Manuka Honey. It's approved by the vegetarian society and you cannot use it if you are allergic to bee stings. The cream is designed for those with normal to oily skin - I have an oily t-zone and dry everywhere else and I find this moisturiser works well for me. I apply a generous amount morning and night, with a little extra on the drier areas of my skin. 

One of the main things I love about both of these products is the scent, they both smell incredible (two of the best smelling skincare products I've ever tried). The scent to me is creamy, almost chocolatey/food like and when I've applied it, I can still smell it for the next couple of hours - I LOVE it! The moisturiser is rich and it leaves my skin baby soft, incredibly smooth and moisturised. It also creates a great base for makeup. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5. 

The second product is the *Antipodes Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Eye Cream (£35.99, 30ml) which also contains Persian silk flowers, jojoba oil, vitamin E, sunflower seed oil and many more fantastic, natural ingredients. The eye cream comes in a heavy, luxe feeling glass jar as most Antipodes products do and it's a really rich, thick eye cream but it is very silky smooth and applies quickly and easily. It's designed for normal to oily or blemish prone skin and while I don't ever really get blemishes, this eye cream still works very well. It's perfect to use before foundation/concealer as it eliminates dryness and provides a smooth base for makeup. The price may be a little high but the 30ml jar will last forever as you only need a tiny amount.  Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5. 

Overall, I cannot recommend these products enough! They both work so well for my annoying, temperamental and sensitive skin. They smell heavenly and the packaging is fantastic as always. I know skincare isn't a typical christmas gift but I really don't think you could go wrong with Antipodes and they have great bodycare products too - if you want more information on Antipodes products then check out my reviews.

Skintifique Skincare

I'm always on the look out for skincare for my sensitive, temperamental and eczema prone skin which isn't an easy task! Through blogging I've been able to find some amazing brands and products; Luckily I've been able to try another brand specifically for reactive, allergic and sensitive skin, Skintifique.

Skintifique is a French/American skincare brand that focuses on effective products for individuals with reactive or sensitive skin and skin conditions such as eczema, so as I have facial and body eczema, I was excited to give it a go! The products are paraben free, fragrance free, silicon free, sulphate free and the products aren't tested on animals which is amazing.

*Skintifique Cleanser P (€11.82, 200ml)

The cleanser is a pure micellar water that cleanses and removes makeup, pollution and provides instant comfort - it also only contains five ingredients. The micellar water looks and feels like all of the other micellar waters I've tried (and I've tried a lot!). It doesn't irritate my skin which a couple of micellar waters have done. Micellar waters are fantastic, quick and easy cleansers for effective and fuss free makeup removal and this one is no different. It leaves my skin clean, makeup free and while it doesn't remove it quite as well as Bioderma, it's still fantastic! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*Skintifique Moisturizing Lotion HP (€21.58, 200ml)

Moisturisers are such an important product in my skincare routine as my skin is dry and when I have an eczema flareup, it's becomes incredibly dry so it needs all of the moisture it can get. As well as around my eyes, I also have eczema on my hands which obviously in the colder months becomes much worse and very uncomfortable. I've been using this moisturiser on my hands almost every evening with my moisturising cotton gloves and it definitely been helping to keep my skin smooth, soft and moisturised. I don't use it that much during the day as it is a little heavy and slower to absorb than my other hand creams. It doesn't irritate my skin at all, it leaves my skin comfortable and smooth! Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5.

*Rosacea Awareness

Today's post is about a topic that I'm interested in and concerned with as, while I don't have rosacea, I do have a skin condition and I think it would be great for more people know know about skin conditions as sometimes they can be misdiagnosed or go untreated. When my eczema first started about eight years ago, I thought it was rosacea at the time as sometimes my eczema can look a little like rosacea but I've been diagnosed with eczema which I get on my face, eyes and hands. 

I know how awful it can be to have a long term skin condition, especially during the teenage years when appearance seems to be everything. I've already published a post about my experience of eczema including some of the products and tips that helped me. One of the main things that I have found really difficult in my eczema experience is trying to find the right treatment, I've tried so many steroid and non-steroid creams as well as allergy tablets and dietary changes to try to find a combination or treatment that helps and it can be a frustrating and depressing process; however finding the right treatment is essential. 

For rosacea, there are numerous treatment options as there are with eczema so it also might take a while to find a treatment that suits but one of the most popular and effective rosacea treatment options is IPL (intense pulsed light) and the Pulse Light Clinic has fifteen years of experience with rosacea treatments. IPL works be emitting light waves that target and damage the affected areas which triggers the body's natural response to repair the damaged areas resulting in new and clearer skin cells to replace the damaged cells. 

The before and after photos look amazing and they have a short video showing the rosacea treatments at the Pulse Light Clinic in London. I've read that IPL can be used to treat eczema as well so I will definitely be looking into IPL now as even though I can mostly keep it at bay with non-steroid creams, it still flares up and a more effective treatment would be fantastic. Again, if you have a skin condition or think you do, make sure you research and looking into various treatments and also speak to your GP about it. I've had to go back to my GP so many times to look into other treatment options for my eczema but it's worth persevering to find the right treatment! This is a sponsored post.

Neal's Yard + Deliciously Ella Skincare

Neal's Yard is a brand that I have wanted to try for so long so when a beautiful package arrived with two new products from their collaboration with Deliciously Ella, I was incredibly excited and I couldn't wait to try the products! Ella wanted to create a beautiful blend packed with some of her favourite ingredients including lime, rose and cucumber; both products are so beautifully packaged and they smell incredible! After trying these products and loving them, I hope they bring out more products with this scent, a candle and bodycare range would be amazing!

*Neal's Yard & Deliciously Ella Rose, Lime & Cucumber Facial Wash (£16, 100ml)

The facial wash contains so many amazing ingredients such as avocado oil, lime oil, cucumber fruit water, coconut oil, blueberry seed oil and more, some of which are organic and naturally derived. The box packaging is so beautiful but also classic and simple. The bottle is gorgeous and made of unique blue glass so aesthetically it would make a lovely christmas gift - I know my aunties and my mum would adore these products.

I have sensitive and dry skin and when I just started using these products I still had a couple of small areas of eczema but neither of these products irritated my skin at all (my skin loves products with natural ingredients). The facial wash is creamy, rich and when using it with my Foreo Luna Go, it gives my skin a deep cleanse without stripping my skin. The cleanser leaves my skin clean, smooth and soft. Also the scent makes it such a lovely experience to use, it's almost an aromatherapy and relaxing experience!

*Neal's Yard & Deliciously Ella Rose, Lime & Cucumber Moisturiser (£25, 100ml)

Again, the packaging is just gorgeous and so luxurious, as all Neal's Yard products seem to be! The moisturiser is my favourite product of the two, although they're both wonderful, as it is so rich, comforting and sumptuous to use. I have dry skin all year round but especially when the colder months come around so this moisturiser will be an essential for me. The moisturiser leaves my dry, sensitive and somewhat annoying skin comfortable, smooth, moisturised and incredibly velvety soft - it's basically the moisturiser version of a cozy blanket! I adore this moisturiser and the floral, light and uplifting scent just makes it nicer to use. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5!

Overall, for my first experience of Neal's Yard skincare, I am very impressed with not just the quality and packaging but the ethics too as Neal's Yard is a cruelty free brand and both of these products are suitable for vegans. Both of the Deliciously Ella products are wonderful and perfect for my dry, sensitive skin, particularly around the autumn/winter months. They are very luxurious, sumptuous and opulent to use and have on my vanity. I cannot recommend these two product enough, you can buy them individually or as a duo as I have for £49.

Autumn Pampering Essentials ft. Sukin

Pampering is such an important process, not just for the body but the mind too! Pampering, even if it's just a hair mask or a bath bomb, makes me feel so much more relaxed, refreshed and pampered. I think pampering is even more important when the autumn and winter months come around as my skin is usually much drier and dull; that's where Sukin comes in! I've tried a few products from Sukin and I've been really impressed so when this lovely package arrived, I couldn't wait to start the pampering.

*Sukin Renewing Body Scrub (£12.99, 200ml)

I love body scrubs, I use them once a week as a pamper product and this scrub is perfect as a regular body scrub. It contains green tea, vitamin E, rose hip oil and more so obviously it smells amazing. I usually do prefer very abrasive scrubs but when I'm using a scrub often I don't want it to be too harsh so this body scrub is great - it is exfoliating but it is also nourishing, smoothing and moisturising to an extent. I always use scrubs before shaving as it makes the process so much smoother and easier. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*Sukin Super Greens Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser (£9.99, 125ml)

My skin is dry all year round but especially during autumn and winter months so a rich moisturiser is very important to keep my skin smooth, soft and moisturised as well as comfortable. Sukin products don't irritate my skin which is fantastic as it can be difficult to find products that don't annoy my temperamental skin. The moisturiser comes in a pump bottle *I wish all moisturiser came this way*, it doesn't really have a scent so it would be great to try if you have dry and sensitive skin and it leaves my skin incredibly smooth, soft and moisturised enough even for cold autumn days! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*Sukin Hydrating Facial Masque (£10.15, 100ml)

I have to be honest and admit that when it comes to my hair, I do tend to forget to look after it as well as I look after my skin; hair masks are a super quick and easy pampering option. The mask contains mango seed butter, avocado oil, pineapple extract and many more amazing and natural ingredients; as with all Sukin products there are no nasty ingredients. I use masks on dry hair for 10-30 minutes before a shower as I find they always work better that way. It leaves my hair smooth, tangle free and moisturised which is what my coloured hair definitely needs right now. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil

It's officially Autumn and the English weather has finally caught up as it's now gloriously chilly and autumnal *yay*. However, with the colder weather, I need to amp up my skincare and include richer products to help with my dry and temperamental skin. As always the lovely people at Dermalogica have the answer!

I have a new and lovely addition to my October skincare routine, the *Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil (£62, 30ml) which contains Camellia and Tamanu Oil as well as Orchid Flower, Chia Seed Oil, Rice Bran and Sunflower extracts to replenish protective lipids that can be depleted by ageing and environmental stressors. It's free from parabens, artificial fragrances and colours - it's most suitable for normal to dry skin.

Firstly, I have to say that I'm not a fan of the packaging; I think it looks quite medical as all Dermalogica products seem to look and the dispenser isn't great for dispensing an oil as it can be a little messy - I think a pipette dispenser would have been far better!

The oil itself smells amazing, so floral and earthy, I love it! It applies like a dream and leaves my skin smooth, soft and comfortable although I do only use this oil in my evening skincare routine as when used during the day and under makeup, it can be a bit heavy and too oily. The oil doesn't irritate my temperamental, sensitive skin which is fantastic - I find that all of the Dermalogica products I've tried have been great for my sensitive skin. The product came with a leaflet with various DIY facial massage techniques for wrinkles, detoxing and stress which is really useful and something I haven't thought of before! Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5.

Sukin Skincare ft. My Pure

I find it so difficult to find skincare products that suit my sensitive, dry and temperamental skin but thanks to my blog, I've been able to find quite a few brands that I freakin' love including: Antipodes, Rodial, Supermood and now Sukin.

*Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner (£8.12, 125ml)

I love facial mists and spray toners so obviously I chose this product to review and I haven't tried anything from Sukin's skincare range but I always hear great things so I wanted to try it for myself. The toner contains chamomile and rosewater to soothe the skin and it doesn't contain parabens or alcohol, the latter can dry out the skin which is not what my already dry skin needs.

It can be used as a toner or as a facial mist and I've been using it both ways, although while I really like the product, I wish the spray was finer as it can be like being in a water fight when I use this! The toner smells so nice, it's refreshing and it doesn't irritate my skin at all which is fantastic. I can't recommend it enough, as I said the only negative is that the spray isn't very fine. Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5.

*Sukin Calming Night Cream (£16.28, 120ml)

As well as facial mists, I also love trying out night creams as my skin can sometimes be so dry that I have to use a serum and a night cream during the day. The night cream contains rosehip, aloe, cucumber, evening primrose oils and lots of other fantastic ingredients. It doesn't contains parabens, SLS, fragrance, mineral oils or any other nasty ingredients that some skincare can. The company is also against animal testing and the products are 100% vegan!

The night cream is thick but it applies easily and it absorbs so quickly which I wasn't expecting. I have quite a few night creams and thicker day creams but none like this as it is so fast absorbing and it doesn't leave a heavy or greasy residue on the skin as most can. It's very moisturising and smoothing but it leaves my skin looking like skin, not a greasy mess. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5!

New In: Green People Sensitive Skincare

I love trying out new skincare, as I like to try new makeup, because I'm always looking for better, more effective, natural or more affordable products. However, as I have sensitive skin it is always a little difficult to find products that don't irritate my skin but thanks to my blog I've been able to find some amazing brands/products that are perfect for my skin and these two new products from Green People are no different.

- *Green People Sensitive Scent Free Hydrating Serum (£17.50, 50ml): The serum contains 96.7% organic ingredients such as chamomile, marine algae, marshmallow and aloe vera. It's suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The packaging is fantastic, it is simplistic and it has a pump dispenser.

The serum has a light, gel texture which feels so refreshing, smoothing and lightweight on the skin so it is perfect for this tie of the year when I reach for lighter products. It applies like water to the skin and it absorbs very quickly! The serum leaves my skin very smooth and moisturised; a perfect base for moisturiser. It doesn't irritate my skin at all, even where I have eczema. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

- *Green People Sensitive Scent Free Light Day Moisturiser (£16.50, 50ml): As with the serum, the moisturiser is suitable for vegetarians/vegans, it doesn't contain alcohol and it is scent free. The moisturiser contains 88.8% organic ingredients such as chamomile, prebiotics, avocado oil and jojoba oil, among others.

Again, I love the packaging! The moisturiser has a creamy but light texture that applies smoothly and absorbs SO quickly as with the serum but because of that I do seem to need to apply a couple of layers of this moisturiser. It doesn't irritate my skin and I have been absolutely loving the pairing as it is such a simple skincare combo but it's effective. Overall raing: ★★★★★, 5/5.

MooGoo Skincare For Eczema

If you've been reading my blog for a while then you will probably know that I have sensitive skin prone to eczema flareups and if you have a similar skin type to me then you will know just how difficult it can be to find products that are gentle but effective and I do prefer to use natural products. Thankfully MooGoo Skincare ticks all of the boxes! MooGoo products are made in Australia using natural ingredients and the products originate from a cream used in dairy farms to repair the skin on cows udders, which is both interesting and slightly...gross but it is a fantastic brand that doesn't test on animals so I couldn't wait to try the products.

*MooGoo Irritable Skin Balm (£12.50, 120g): In my opinion, this product isn't a balm but it is a rich cream and it is specifically designed for those with eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. This product is one of their best sellers and it is easy to see why! I've been using the cream as a hand cream, as I have a large patch of eczema on my left hand and it almost instantly relives the look and feel of dry, tight and irritated skin. I'm almost half way through the bottle and I cannot recommend it enough! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*MooGoo Milk Wash (£11.90, 500ml): As with all of the MooGoo products I have, the packaging is so cute! The milk wash contains a milk protein which prevents the skin drying out which is fantastic as I find that quite a few body washes can dry out my skin overall. It can be used on the face and body as it is very gentle but I've just been using it as a body wash. It lathers so well which I wasn't expecting and it is gentle on the skin but it is still effective; also it doesn't have a scent really so it would be great for sensitive skin types or if you have body eczema. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*MooGoo Soothing MSM Cream (£12, 75g): The packaging for this cream is equally as cute as the others and it contains some fantastic natural ingredients such as sweet almond oil, coconut oil, vitamin E, aloe vera, honey and 10% MSM which is organic sulphur to soothe the skin. The product has a pump dispenser which makes it quick and easy to use. I've been using it on my hand, around my hairline and on my face where I have eczema and it works in a very similar way to the skin balm as it relives the look and feel of tight and dry skin and unlike most eczema creams, it doesn't make my skin look greasy and it absorbs quickly. I do prefer the skin balm but all three products I've tried are fantastic! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Overall, I'm so impressed with the products and the brand as a whole - my skin loves these products and I cannot recommend them enough if you have sensitive skin. The packaging is adorable and the products are natural and cruelty free. The last date for christmas delivery is the 18th Dec for UK orders. They have some lovely products and gift sets, here's my mini wish list:

Antipodes Worship Serum + Vanilla Day Cream

Antipodes is a certified organic, certified vegetarian skincare, bodycare and makeup brand that I have reviewed on my blog before - I reviewed the amazing Antipodes Hosanna Serum which has been in a monthly favourites post. So when the opportunity arose to review more from the brand, I jumped at the chance! It's a gorgeous brand, I love their ethos and my skin (which is dry and sensitive, prone to eczema on occasion) gets on well with Antipodes products. 

Antipodes have released a new serum, the *Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum (£34, 30ml) which is 100% natural and claims to fortify the skin against the early signs of ageing and free radical damage as well as hydrate and plump the skin. The serum contains kiwi fruit extract, raspberry water, coffee berry extract, vitamin E, blackcurrant extract and more - the ingredients list is a dream, no nasty chemicals, colourants or parabens in sight! 

The serum comes with a dropper, it is red and smells like berries which to me makes it more enjoyable to use! The serum is very runny so the dropper makes it easier and far less messy to use. It feels very gentle and hydrating on the skin but it does absorb quickly. I've been using both products consistently for just over two weeks and I love them; when I use this serum it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, plumped to an extent and it doesn't irritate my eczema or cause any other negative effect. 

As the serum is water based, it feels light on the skin and it just adds a much need moisture boost to my dry skin as well as protecting it. Since I opened the bottle, which is glass and very luxe, I have noticed that the scent has changed slightly from a very strong and sweet berry scent to a more subtle scent which I imagine is to be expected with a product that is all natural. Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5. 

I have wanted to try the *Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream (£27.99) for so long so I was really happy to receive it! Firstly, I have to say that this cream is one of the nicest smelling skincare products I own - it has a heavenly creamy vanilla scent. As with the serum, the cream is natural and vegetarian society approved. The cream contains avocado oil, rosehip oil. grapeseed extract, shea butter and manuka honey, among other natural ingredients. The cream is very thick but applies and absorbs into the skin easily. It leaves my skin so moisturised, radiant and comfortable; it doesn't irritate my eczema. I find that during the hotter days we have had then it can be a little too heavy on my skin so I've been using it as a night cream on those days but this cream in the autumn and winter will be a lifesaver! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5. 

Overall, I'm so happy with both products on my dry, sensitive skin! I love the packaging, natural organic ingredients and the effectiveness. The only reason the serum has one less star is because on the whole I prefer the Hosanna serum for my skin personally but all three products are fantastic for those with dry and or sensitive skin types, although keep in mind that everyones skin is different. Antipodes have such a great range of products, from their almost cult status Manuka Honey mask to cleansers, hand creams, foundation and setting powders.

Sweet Cecily's Soothing Skin Cream

Sweet Cecily's is a brand I've worked with before reviewing their cute lip balms. Their products are handmade using natural ingredients; I've loved all of the products I've tried so far and this one is no exception! I was kindly sent the *Sweet Cecily's Soothing Skin Cream (£10 sale, 120ml) which contains Propolis, Borage and Hemp that soothe the skin. 

As with all Sweet Cecily's products, I love the packaging, it is cute and unique. Now, I have to be honest and say that the scent isn't amazing, neither is the colour - it definitely has an earthy hemp scent to it which I am not used to in any of the products I currently use but thankfully it isn't really strong and the scent isn't very prevalent at all when on the skin after a while. 

When ignoring the colour and scent, it is a really nice product to use. I have been using it on the eczema on my hand for the past couple of weeks now and it obviously doesn't get rid of my eczema as it isn't an eczema treatment or steroid cream but it really helps moisturise the skin making it look far less flaky, sore and dry. It also does feel like it is soothing and it relives the feeling of tight, uncomfortable skin that sadly comes with having eczema. I've also been using it on my cuticles and elbows as it's great for reducing dryness! It's a fantastic soothing, emollient cream for the new patch of eczema that has developed at my hairline too. A little goes a long way so I think this large 120ml tub will last me a while. 

I do find that I get the most out of the cream in the evenings as I apply the cream then my cotton gloves and in the morning my skin is much better in terms of dryness and tightness. I wouldn't really use this all of the time during the day as on my skin it can be a little greasy; however as I said I just use this at night on the whole so it isn't an issue for me. 

Overall, a great emollient thick cream which is almost balm like. It moisturises, soothes and helps with the dryness and tightness of the skin that comes with the eczema that I have but it is also great for general dryness too. Sweet Cecily's has a fantastic range of skincare, lip balms and gifts such as a make your own face mask set and a make your own lip balm set - both of which you can personalise which I think is a genius gift idea! Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5.

AA Seaweed + Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel

I have to admit, I do love my skincare but the areas that I always forget to look after include my neck and under eyes. I do have eczema around my eyes on occasion, my skin is always dry anyway and I have very fine lines under my eyes which I think is due to using steroid creams on my eczema for years. So I struggle to find eye creams and to be honest very few have impressed me - most are just face creams in smaller packaging, in my opinion.  

However, I recently received the *AA Skincare Seaweed + Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel (£6.96, 50ml) and I'm an eye cream/gel convert! The product is paraben free, suitable for all skin types and it contains some of the following ingredients: aloe leaf juice, sea lavender extract, Irish moss extract, mallow extract and more. 

Firstly, I love the packaging, it is simple and effective and it has a pump! The pump dispenser is so handy, it allows a tiny amount to be dispensed and it is mess free. The packaging alone makes the eye gel so convenient and quick to use, it has now become a part of my evening skincare routine. One of the issues that has always put me off using eye creams or gels on a daily basis is that I thought it was a fussy, time wasting extra step but this product has resolved that issue just because it's so quick and handy. 

The gel itself is cooling and it has a smooth gel consistency which  instantly refreshes, smoothes and moisturises the skin; it makes my skin look plumped and radiant almost - without shimmer/glitter. I find that this product helps with reducing dehydration lines especially as well as the look of fatigue as it just perks up the skin. I haven't noticed any irritation at all from this product. 

Overall, I can't say enough good things about this eye gel, it is so convenient, moisturising and it provides a great base for concealer. It also claims to remove makeup which I haven't tested yet but I will update this post when I do. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.
