End Of Summer OOTD Ft. Zaful
If you have been following my blog or social media for a while you will know that I am literally obsessed with stripes, I have SO many stripy items of clothing and accessories in my wardrobe that it makes up almost half of my entire wardrobe. When the lovely people at Zaful contacted me about reviewing one of their items, I couldn't say no!

I chose the *Zaful Stripe Elastic Waist A-Line Skirt ($15.82, Blue) which is the kind of skirt that I have wanted to buy for a while but I haven't found the right style at a good price, until now. I love the dusky navy blue and white stripes as well as the two fairly large pockets with cute red stitching details at the sides of the pockets. I didn't know it had pockets until it arrived and I thought they would just add bulk but without anything in the pockets they don't. The material of the skirt is a soft, thin canvas like material which is unexpected as I thought it would be flimsy, see through or very thin but it isn't.

The length of the skirt is a little longer than I would want but it is a nice midi length on me - keep in mind that I am petite so on a 'average' sized person it would be about knee length I think. The quality is the main thing that surprised me the most about the skirt, as well as how well it fits, the quality is so good for such an inexpensive item at about £10.

Overall, I love this skirt and I think I will get so much use out of it next summer as it is already getting a little too cold in Manchester for completely bare legs but it pairs so nicely with nude heels, a simple white tee and a statement or unusual necklace - mine is from Swarovski. There are quite a few stripy items from Zaful on my wish list now. Overall rating: ★★, 5/5.

Have you bought anything from Zaful? Do you love stripes as much as I do?

AA Bergamot + Aloe Deodorant

AA Bergamot and Aloe Deodorant
Amphora Aromatics is a brand I've reviewed on my blog previously, I've tried their Aloe Eye Gel which I loved so I was more than happy to try more from the brand. Amphora Aromatics is a natural skincare and bodycare brand which stocks a wide range of products.

I chose the *AA Bergamot and Aloe Deodorant (£3.96 sale, 50ml) which unlike the majority of deodorants on the market doesn't contain the potentially harmful ingredient of aluminium. The deodorant does contain essentials oils and other great natural ingredients as such bergamot which 'attacks' bacteria which causes odour. The product comes in a roller ball bottle which I'm not a massive fan of as I prefer creamy stick deodorants.

The scent is a little different that I thought it would be, it is fresh, citrus scented and it isn't too strong but it reminds me of kitchen cleaning products and it's quite a bitter scent. Besides the scent it is a great deodorant, it is a wet formula so it takes a while to dry as all deodorants of this type do but I don't have to wait around for ages. It is effective as a deodorant, which some natural deodorants aren't to an extent, although I don't think it would stand up to exercise.

Overall, I love the look of the packaging, I am a fan of the natural ethos of the brand and the great ingredients list and it does work well for me on a daily basis but the scent it's quite what I expected and I don't think it would be suitable for hotter days or going to the gym for example - I've never been to a gym in my life but you know what I mean! Overall rating: ★★★★✩, 4/5.

Have you tried anything from this brand? Do you use any natural deodorants?

AA Seaweed + Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel

Wednesday, July 01, 2015
I have to admit, I do love my skincare but the areas that I always forget to look after include my neck and under eyes. I do have eczema around my eyes on occasion, my skin is always dry anyway and I have very fine lines under my eyes which I think is due to using steroid creams on my eczema for years. So I struggle to find eye creams and to be honest very few have impressed me - most are just face creams in smaller packaging, in my opinion.

However, I recently received the *AA Skincare Seaweed + Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel (£6.96, 50ml) and I'm an eye cream/gel convert! The product is paraben free, suitable for all skin types and it contains some of the following ingredients: aloe leaf juice, sea lavender extract, Irish moss extract, mallow extract and more.

Firstly, I love the packaging, it is simple and effective and it has a pump! The pump dispenser is so handy, it allows a tiny amount to be dispensed and it is mess free. The packaging alone makes the eye gel so convenient and quick to use, it has now become a part of my evening skincare routine. One of the issues that has always put me off using eye creams or gels on a daily basis is that I thought it was a fussy, time wasting extra step but this product has resolved that issue just because it's so quick and handy.

The gel itself is cooling and it has a smooth gel consistency which  instantly refreshes, smoothes and moisturises the skin; it makes my skin look plumped and radiant almost - without shimmer/glitter. I find that this product helps with reducing dehydration lines especially as well as the look of fatigue as it just perks up the skin. I haven't noticed any irritation at all from this product.

Overall, I can't say enough good things about this eye gel, it is so convenient, moisturising and it provides a great base for concealer. It also claims to remove makeup which I haven't tested yet but I will update this post when I do. Overall rating: ★★, 5/5.

Have you tried any products from AA Skincare? Do you use an eye cream/gel daily?
