Christmas Party Picks
The Christmas party season is coming up and I'm always struggling to decide what to wear that will be relatively warm, formal or party appropriate and comfortable but with the suitable glitz, detailing or lace for a christmas party or new year celebration. Thankfully there is still plenty of time to choose an outfit or two and Coast have so many gorgeous pieces!

Coast isn't a store that I ever really shop at but browsing their site last week, I found so many gorgeous dresses that are lacy, flattering and christmas appropriate but minimal which is what I always go for. Also there are gorgeous bags and glitter and sequin covered pieces that would be perfect for the upcoming festive season.

Party Glitter Clutch  -  Red Shift Dress  -  Black Lace Panel Dress  -  Black Lace Jumpsuit

I adore the clutch bag, especially the design and glitter covered exterior; I'm not usually a fan of clutch bags but it's gorgeous and it does come with a chain strap *I have added it to my very long wish list*. Also I never really like jumpsuits but I love the simplicity of this one and the lace detailing makes it so gorgeous and festive party ready! This is a sponsored post.

What do you think of the items I've featured? What will you be wearing to christmas parties this year? Do you shop at Coast?

Christmas Party Wish List
Christmas party season is almost here and with it comes the horror of trying to find an outfit that is suitably festive, formal or party appropriate during the chaos of shopping centres at this time of the year. During the party season and also New Year, I'm always late while pretty much all of my wardrobe is on the floor and still have nothing to wear! However this year I'm trying to be as organised as I am with my christmas present shopping (it's pretty much all done), here are some party outfit ideas featuring Daniel Footwear and Dezzal.

Lace Skater Dress  -  Bodycon Dress with Lace Skirt  -  Lace Shift Dress  -  Patent Stud Heels  -  Suede Pointed Heels  -  Velvet Platform Sandals

I'm all for simple, minimal dresses and all three of these are gorgeous and perfect for the upcoming christmas and new year parties. I love lace detailing, it makes any dress instantly more party ready without being too formal or overstated. I've picked three pairs of heels to correspond with each dress; I think the pretty studded heels will be perfect with the yellow lace dress. A little black dress and black suede heels are a classic and timeless combination! This is a sponsored post.

What do you think of the dresses and heels I've featured? Have you bought anything from Daniel Footwear?

Party Dresses @ ASDA George
Can you tell I'm not a natural fashion blogger?! I need to find better poses!
The festive season is pretty much upon us and christmas and new year parties will be here soon so a staple party outfit is essential. I always struggle to find an outfit that is warm and comfy but flattering, party appropriate and that fits me well which isn't an easy task as I am so petite and a bit picky when it comes to picking dresses! When it comes to party dresses, I always have to find one with sleeves and it has to fall just above my knees as well as it being comfortable and room for a small food baby which will inevitably happen because, food. All the food.

I was very kindly allowed to pick a few christmas party picks from ASDA George and I was very pleasantly surprised at how many gorgeous dresses there were to choose from as well as gorgeous winter essentials. Christmas is all about the sparkle so I chose the *Sequin Shift Dress (£25, Black, UK 8) and it's gorgeous although if you don't like the black, they do have other colours. It hits just above my knee and even though it is a shift dress, it is flattering and relatively comfortable to wear. The quality is much better than I thought it would be for the price and I think it would be a fantastic christmas party or new years eve dress as it is a simple black dress that goes with pretty much everything but because of the sequins it looks more expensive and festive than a regular little black dress.

I also chose the *Faux Fur Collar Coat (£40, Charcoal, UK 8) which I have been wearing constantly since I received it! The coat fits me well, it isn't too long, it goes with causal and formal outfits and I love the faux fur collar - it makes it so cosy. One thing I struggle with when it comes to choosing party or formal dresses, is finding a coat to go with it and I always end up not taking one and freezing to death or choosing a leather jacket that also leaves me cold and shivering. I love the pairing of the dress and coat, I think they are perfect together and it means I can be warm and cosy as it's so annoying when you're trying to enjoy yourself when you are uncomfortable and or cold because of your clothing choices. Last but not least I chose the *3 Pack 40 Denier Tights (£4, Black, Medium) which are such good value.

My main christmas party tip is to choose something that you are going to be comfortable wearing as if your clothes are uncomfortable then your going to look uncomfortable! I also think it's important to plan ahead and pick your outfit beforehand as I think we have all been in those panic situations were you empty your entire wardrobe to find something to wear at the last minute causing even more panicing and then you end up wearing the first thing you picked even though it doesn't fit right. Lastly, you don't have to spend a lot on new party outfits, George at ASDA has a fantastic range of party and winter clothing as well as bags (although they don't seem to have many accessories or jewellery online anymore) and you can add new accessories to give life to an old or staple outfit.

What do you think of the items I chose? If you have any christmas party tips then leave them in the comments below!

Very Christmas Party Outfit Ideas

Tuesday, December 17, 2013
This is a collaboration with Very, I have created three Christmas party outfits from the Very website. This is not a sponsored post, I am not being paid. As Christmas is nearly here, parties are starting and there is a festive thrill in the air - what you need is a fail safe party outfit. So even if you are late or pushed for time, these outfits are simple but festive ideas for the ultimate party season!
All images from the Very website

Outfit one: I love any dress that has a classic style but with modern, glitzy details. I'm all about the simplistic Scandinavian style. This dress is the Little Mistress 2 in 1 Embellished dress (£60). I love the cream, black and antique gold shades. I also love the floaty skater style skirt that skims over those problem areas. I think the dress would look great with Shoe Box Imi Suede Platform Wedges (£25), they add height as heels do but with none of the discomfort. Finally some earrings, I love this set from Oasis (£10) which contains five pairs of earrings all of which would work with this outfit, in my opinion. You could wear a leather jacket over the top of this outfit and add some black tights for those colder wintry days.

Outfit two: I love this style of dress, it is the Fearne Cotton Velvet Swing Dress (£39). Swing dresses are fantastic, especially during the Christmas period where you may have indulged in five too many mince pies, chocolates or cocktails. It covers lumps and bumps and still looks flattering, cute and party ready - although you could pair it with a black skinny belt if you wanted to. As the dress is fairly plain, I added the Ivy Glittery Clutch (£9, sale) which comes in numerous colours. I also added the gorgeous South Glitter Platform Shoes (£20, sale) for even more festive glitter!

Outfit three: My final festive party outfit, the dress is from the brand Little Mistress again and it the Lace Crossover Prom Dress (£52).I think the dress is just gorgeous, very feminine and chic. Again the skater style skirt is great for hiding problem areas. I have paired the dress with spiky black heels from Kurt Geiger, they are the Ezra Studded Leather Platform heels (£150). I am always lusting over Kurt Geiger heels/boots and these are just divine. You could pair the dress with patent black heels instead though. Following the black/antique gold theme of the dress with Cheska Chandelier Earrings (£10) for added glamour - an updo would be great with this dress to show off the earrings and the plunging neckline of the dress.

Glossy black nails, nude lips and lots of lash action would be great with these outfits. There are my festive/new year party picks, to see more party wear check out the Very website, click here. x
