Joik White Chocolate Bath Truffles

Monday, July 06, 2015
Joik is a brand I first came across two years ago while on holiday in Tallinn, Estonia, where the brand and products originate and are handmade. I bought the Joik Sensual Soap with Oriental Herbs and it is one of the nicest smelling soaps I've bought - I love it! So when I noticed that Joik were on The Bloggers LVE Hub, I jumped at the chance to work with them.

I was kindly sent the *Joik White Chocolate Bath Truffles (£11.90, 310g) and to be completely honest I'm not a fan of white chocolate, either the scent or taste but these do smell really lovely. The bath truffles do have that creamy, sweet white chocolate scent but it isn't too sweet or overpowering - they smell quite earthy to me.

To use the bath truffles you just place them in your bath water, like a bath bomb, they fizzle very slowly and they melt very slowly too. As they fizz and dissolve they release small flower petals which is just gorgeous and make the whole experience so much more luxurious and indulgent, in my opinion. My favourite bath bombs/fizzers have petals in, it feels so special and it looks SO pretty too. The earthy white chocolate scent is more subtle in the water than in the packaging but it does scent the skin to an extent and it leaves my skin so smooth, soft and moisturised due to the cacao seed butter in the bath truffles.

The bath truffles do take a long time to dissolve which is great if you are having a long bath as they will last the whole time but you could definitely cut them in half (be careful!) so you get two uses out of each bath truffle. Each bath truffle is approx. £1.98 which is pretty good value especially as the bath truffles will last a while and you could even get two uses out of one truffle. Also you could use them in a foot spa/bath and they would last even longer!

Overall, even though I'm not a fan of white chocolate, these bath truffles were really nice and indulgent to use. I love the petals that are released as the truffles dissolve. As they dissolve so slowly you can use them numerous times, in my opinion. The price for the pack may seem a little expensive but the cost of each truffle is cheaper than one bath bomb at Lush and you can use them one/two times or more. In addition, all of the products are handmade and 100% natural which is fantastic! I think all Joik products would make wonderful gifts! Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5.

Here's my mini Joik wish list (I literally want everything):

Have you tried anything from Joik? What do you think of the bath truffles?
