Topshop Gift Card Haul

A couple of weeks ago I won a £250 Topshop voucher from Instyle magazine on Twitter (I'm ofbeautyand on Twitter). I made this order which also included a coat but it was massive on me so I have bought some other items with the rest of the money. Here is my Topshop haul!

Clothing: Firstly, I bought some underwear/knickers as Topshop always have a running offer where selected underwear are 3 for £10. I picked an American flag, aloha and galaxy print pair. I picked up two pairs of Topshop Moto Petite Blue Vintage Wash Jamie Jeans (£40, W28L28), one pair for me and the other for my sister. I haven't bought any new Topshop jeans for years and I LOVE this pair. You will see them in an upcoming recent buys look book post. I also bought a tee that I have wanted for ages, it is the cute Stripe Cat Tee (£16, size 10) that would look great with the jeans. I bought the Petite Knitted Pale Pink Ribbed Jumper (£38) which has to be the softest, comfiest jumper ever made! Also the coat I bought that had to be returned was the Double Breasted Pea Coat (£95, size 8) which is great in terms of length and style but it is a tent on me!

Beauty: I haven't tried any Topshop makeup until now (except their nail polish which I HATE). I chose the lipstick in Innocent (£8) and I love the formula but I don't like the shade so I sold it on ebay. I bought another lip product, the Gloss Ink in Sugar Rush (£8) which is a bright rosy pink and I love it. Topshop have started to sell branded makeup and skincare (its under the Beautymart section) which is fantastic so I bought two Revlon Colorstay polishes in Provence and Buttercup (£8 each). As well as a nail art duo that was in the sale for £2 and the French pharmacy skin balm Homeoplasmine (£12.50). The last beauty buy was a mascara that I have been wanting for years (since Missglamourazzi talked about it), it is the Fairydrops Waterproof Mascara (£18.50) - it is difficult to find in the UK as it is a Japanese makeup brand but so far so good with this mascara. 

Miscellaneous: Finally, I bought a pair of Grey Plait Ankle Socks (£3.50) and something I haven't seen before - Edible Cupcake Toppers (£4) which is just edible paper with designs on that you can stick on top of cupcakes or muffins to make them look fancy.

My Top Picks From Anjolee

It is available in white gold and yellow gold (carat weight options are available) and also platinum. I adore white gold and platinum jewellery! I would style this elegant necklace with an equally elegant simple little black dress. I think this necklace would make a perfect present for a special birthday! 

2. Classic Four Prong Diamond Studs (from $308.47): I was very kindly gifted a pair of diamond earrings from one of my aunties for my 21st birthday last year and I adore them so I think this pretty pair would make an equally lovely, special gift. I think diamond earrings look stunning and can really make you feel a million dollars!

3. Off Center Diamond Circle Pendant (from $713.75): I own quite a few necklaces but very few pendants, I think they can look gorgeous as this one does. I love the unique design, I haven't seen anything like it before. The fine chain complements the larger circles nicely and it looks beautiful. The necklace comes in a range of carat weights, chain lengths and metal types. 

4. Alternating Diamond Drop Bracelet (from $1150.15): I have included two photographs of this bracelet to show the metal types for this item. While I do not personally like yellow gold jewellery on myself I think it can look beautiful on others. This bracelet again comes in a range of metal types, carat weights (2.00 ct, for example) and lengths. I know my mum would adore these bracelets, it would make an unforgettable mothers day or birthday gift, in my opinion.

5. Princess Cut Diamond Allure Earrings (from $1962.41): I fell in love with these drop earrings as soon as I saw them on the website. The design is just gorgeous, simple and elegant - quite 1920's and vintage in my opinion. The earrings look so sparkly but not overly so and again this item comes in a range of metal types, carat weights and also diamond quality. I think these earrings would be a lovely gift and would look amazing paired with a simple formal dress or a wedding dress!

6. Delightful Diamond Eternity Ring (from $1783.69): I think this diamond ring is so unique! I love the arrangement of the diamonds, it looks simple but very beautiful. Out of all of the wedding, engagement and anniversary rings available on the website, this is definitely my favourite! In my opinion this is a stunning diamond engagement ring.

Review: Sleep In Rollers

I have wanted to try sleep in rollers are a while and I have tried the Primark versions which are around £2 which I didn't like as they didn't stick in my hair. I was kindly sent the original sleep in rollers by Beau Boutique, however my opinions are my own, to read my disclaimer, click here.  

No photos of the effects sadly as I am full of a cold and hay fever - I will update this post when I have shorter hair

I have the *Velcro Sleep In Rollers Set (£10, sale - RRP £16.50) which includes two sets of the sleep in roller so you have 20 rollers in total. Also they came in a cute pink bag which I will definitely re-use. I'm not sure what size these are but they are fairly big - I'm going to get my hair cut into a bob shortly so I might have to buy the ones for shorter hair. 

Now, the first time I tried these rollers, it wasn't a success, if I'm honest - the rollers were fairly quick and easy to put in and they did stay in my dry hair well, especially when compared to the Primark versions. Although it was a bit downhill from there - the rollers were not super comfortable to sleep on, they all moved around my face and I couldn't sleep on my side. I had to take them out my hair at about 2am which was a bit annoying! However, I tried another day when my hair was slightly damp in the morning (I usually sleep with my hair wet) and it was so much easier! I know they are 'sleep in rollers' but sadly I just can't sleep with them in, I am sure most people would be able too but I do have trouble sleeping sometimes. 

If like me you can't sleep with them in then use them in the morning when you are applying your makeup and getting ready - it works well, especially when you spray a small amount of water onto the hair as when the water slowly evaporates it seems to lock in the volume and wave that the rollers provide. Also blasting your hair with a hairdryer while the rollers are in then letting your hair cool completely will also help the volume and wave lock into the hair. Tip: Make sure the hair is brushed well first and sectioning the hair makes the processes quicker, easier and neater. 

Overall, I love the packaging and the cute bag, the rollers are quick and easy to put in and they stay in well. They give good volume and a nice relaxed wave to the hair because the rollers are quite big; they work well when used during the day on dry or very slightly damp hair. However, I personally cannot sleep with them in - I will try again when I have shorter hair (as mine is really quite long again now). I would recommend them at the sale price they are now, ★★★★☆, 4/5.

Review: Jana Reinhardt Sleepy Fox Necklace

I was very kindly allowed to pick an item from the lovely people at Jana Reinhardt Jewellery a couple of weeks ago, for more information on my disclaimer, click here, honesty as always. It was difficult to choose one item, there were quite a lot of gorgeous items to choose from and I had my eye on a number of pieces! I decided on the adorable sleepy fox necklace.

I have the *Jana Reinhardt Sleepy Fox Necklace in Sterling Silver (£145). I first heard of Jana Reinhardt through EtailPR, then through Twitter and the media/press. They were finalists in the UK Jewellery Awards 2013 as well as gaining a silver award at the  Goldsmiths Craft & Design Awards, among other achievements! I was so excited when my Jana Reinhardt necklace arrived, I knew it would be very special! 

Firstly, the packaging and presentation. The box is white and very clean/simple which I love. The packaging is gorgeous and I think it would make a very nicely presented gift for anyone. I chose the Sleepy Fox Necklace (sterling silver, 45cm) as I do not own anything like it, it is so adorable and in my opinion perfect for spring/summer. I love dainty silver jewellery, it is the only jewellery I wear (although I am kind of lusting after rose gold pieces too at the moment). The silver is flawless and there is a green sapphire set into the necklace where the chain meets the fox. The chain is dainty and it doesn't look or feel heavy while wearing the necklace, it is quite light overall so it is comfortable to wear all day. The necklace is sterling silver although it doesn't have a hallmark as it weighs less than the required amount for hallmarking. Although, it is still very luxe and special and it should as each item is made by hand!

I cannot describe adequately how adorable this little guy is and how much I love this necklace! The detail on the fox is fantastic, from the eyes to the tiny ears. I have been wearing it non stop pretty much since I received it and I can't stop showing everyone. I have been wearing this necklace with stripy tops, skinny jeans and wedges. Although it would look equally as amazing with a simple dress and heels for a special occasion. It is a versatile, comfortable, simple necklace that is made to a very high standard which is bound to make the wearer feel very special!

Overall, I am so impressed by the presentation, quality, design and versatility of this adorable necklace from Jana Reinhardt. I am glad I chose this design, it is too cute - all of Jana Reinhardt's jewellery is so sweet and simple! You will see this neclace in quite a few OOTD's and lookbooks. The other items I had my eye on include the Wing Necklace, the Sparrow Charm Necklace and the cute Duckling Necklace. Spring Homeware Wish List

I have already posted a spring beauty wish list, which you can see, here and a spring fashion wish list, here. It is such a nice time of year although right now it is still a bit cold (welcome to England) but  we can dream of brighter, sunny days! I am drooling over a lot of homeware recently as my bedroom is going to be redecorated soon and I am getting a new wardrobe (too many clothes not enough space....there is no such thing as too many clothes) which is why a lot of the items are bedroom decor related. Here are my current spring homeware picks!

1. Yankee Candle Bunny Cake Large Jar Candle (£19.99): Oh my, oh my, how cute is this candle! I think it is a limited edition scent for easter. As you can see from the items I am a bit obsessed with cream, grey, aqua and baby pink....I love candles and Yankee Candle is one of my favourite brands. This candle is supposed to smell like sugary coconut, creamy vanilla and bright citrus - so delicious!

2. Debenhams Ben De Lisi Grey Signs Felt Cushion (£35): As soon as I saw this I fell in love not only does it incorporate all of my current favourite colours but the design is just amazing, I love it! I think it would look great in my new bedroom design I have planned. 

3. Asda George Home Mint Wall Clock (£10): This makes me think of american diners in the 50's for some reason, I love it and it is mint green/aqua! I think it would look great as a pop of colour (I hate that expression) on a creamy coloured wall. 

4. Asda Pink Glass Soda Jug (£5): I can imagine a hot summer day (unlikely in England but work with me), the birds are singing, children are having water fights and there is an abundance of fresh watermelon and strawberries - that is the scene I imagine using this soda jug in - a bit far fetched I know but it just screams spring/summer.

5. Monsoon Home Slate Heart Coasters (£9): How adorable are these slate coasters . They look great and they would make a fantastic gift, in my opinion. I have never had slate coasters but I imagine they are really durable and they look quite expensive. 

6. Zara Home Coloured Handle Fork/Spoon (£3.99 each): I am really quite picky about cutlery (strange I know) but these look right up my alley. I love the shape of them both and the coloured handle. They come in different colours too. I don't visit Zara Home as often as I should, they have amazing and very unique homeware!

7. Zara Home Bubble Vase (£19.99): I am going to have to make an order on Zara Home soon, so many beautiful things, I cannot possess them all (points to you if you know who said that). I have recently started to buy flowers - I guess it is the typical blogger thing to have in the background of photos so I thought I would try it and this vase looks perfect. 

8. Asda Eiffel Tower Lamp (£20): How unique is this lamp, I have never seen any lamp like this - it is part lamp, part mini eiffel tower... So cute, I think it is a nice statement lamp that isn't too crazy, I think it would look great in my bedroom or study/office.

Review: Wild Olive Vanilla Bath Melt Sundae

I have already reviewed two items from the brand Wild Olive, a gorgeous floral candle, click here and a cute bath sundae in the scent 'peony', click here. Before trying these products I hadn't really heard of Wild Olive but it is a fantastic brand - all items are handmade in the UK. To check out my disclaimer, click here. 

I have the *Wild Olive Bath Sundae in 'Vanilla' (£2.25). As with the 'peony' bath melt/sundae the packaging is just adorable! The cute little ice cream sundae shaped bath melts are just the cutest things ever! They would make gorgeous gifts, in my opinion. The scent of this one is vanilla although initially it doesn't really smell like vanilla to me personally. It smells like a gorgeous musky, warm fragrance that is really nice but I don't think it smells like vanilla on its own, in my opinion. However the longer you smell it the more vanilla you start to smell, it is a strange one but I really like it.

It seems a shame to put these little guys in water, they are so cute! The bath melt does fizzle and it takes a while to dissolve which is great if you are having a long relaxing bath. I find these, along with the bomb cosmetics bath melts, to be super long lasting. You could get two baths easily out of one bath melt, next time I would probably crush the bath melt, then I could get multiple baths from one melt. The scent is really nice while it is in the water, a musky warm vanilla scent. It is definitely not a typical vanilla scent though, there is practically no sweetness in the scent. 

The melt leaves my skin slightly scented, smooth and moisturised as it does contain shea butter which is amazing for adding moisture to the skin. This bath melt doesn't irritate my skin and it is just so nice to use. Overall, an adorable bath melt for those long bath kind of days! ★★★★☆, 4/5.
