Mother's Day: Snapfish Gifts

Saturday, February 20, 2016
Personalised gifts are some of the nicest gifts you can give and receive, in my opinion. If you have been following my blog for a while then you will have seen the brand Snapfish before as I have been lucky enough to work with them a few times and I have bought some items myself from them over the past year or so. I cannot recommend Snapfish by HP enough as the products always turn out so well, everyone always loves their personalised/photo gifts and the process of creating memorable gifts is so easy.

Today's post is all about Mother's Day and the gifts I have made for my mum this Mother's Day via Snapfish. There are lots of gifts to choose from including prints, posters, magnets, mugs, cards and many many more. I have previous reviewed their Acrylic Prints and the Photo Calendars and Christmas Cards, all of which were loved by the recipients. This time round I chose:

- *Snapfish Photograph Notebooks (£5.99 each): I am a massive stationery lover and I can't get enough of notebooks and my mum is the same, we use them almost everyday for notes and lists. I made two for her, one with photos of myself and my sister as teeny tiny babies which she can use at home and another with mostly holiday photos that she can keep in her bag and use at work. The photos turned out really well, even the older, more blurry photographs I used. I think photo notebooks are a fantastic and special but also practical gift for Mother's Day.

- *Snapfish Photograph Flipbook (£5.99): I chose the 6" x 4" soft flay lay custom cover photo book which includes 20 photos. I think the price is amazing and the photo book turned out better than I was expecting. The photos are clear, vivid and it is quite compact too so it would be great if you didn't have a lot of space for large photo albums. It's a flip book style so the pages are thicker than normal and it's such a nice little gift that I'm sure any mum, grandma or guardian would love. I filled this one with photos of myself and my sister growing up.

- *Snapfish Photograph Acrylic Keyring (£2.99): I didn't know what else to get as we already have wall prints and other photo gifts so I chose a cute little keyring as she doesn't actually have one. It is acrylic and the photo appears on both sides of the keyring. I chose a photo of myself, my sister and my mum in Centre Parks, as we always used to go there on holiday.

I did also order a personalised photo card for Mother's Day but there was an issue so I had to re-order and I didn't have time to photograph it - as a way of saying sorry, Snapfish gave me credit to order 50 free photos which is fantastic as that's another little gift for my mum which we can be put in our holiday photograph album. You can check out the Snapfish Twitter or Facebook for gift ideas.

Lastly, I thought I would share some baby photographs of me as I don't think I've done anything like that on my blog before and I was a pretty cute baby/toddler if I do say so myself...it all went downhill from there!

What do you think of the Snapfish gifts I chose? Have you ordered from Snapfish by HP before?

Snapfish Best Sellers: Acrylic Photo Prints
I've been lucky enough to work with Snapfish by HP before, as I reviewed their fantastic photo calendar, photo mug, personalised christmas cards and photo notebook all of which I loved and was so happy with. This time round I chose four acrylic prints which I thought would be amazing as gifts or as fantastic alternatives to traditional photo frames.

I picked the *Slim 6x4 Acrylic Photo Print (£9.99 each) which feature your chosen photo behind a rectangle of clear acrylic. Each 6x4 acrylic prints come with an acrylic stand which I have to be honest and say didn't fit with the prints - the gap for them to stand in wasn't wide enough for three out of the four prints sadly although my dad armed with a file was able to easily fix the minor problem.

I used the best photographs of my holidays that I could find but even so I didn't think the quality of the photographs would be good but I'm so happy with just how clear, crisp and vivid the photographs turned out! I used photos from our holidays in Taormina in Sicily, Ephesus in Turkey and Venice, Italy as well as an adorable photo of our guinea pigs *Einstein and Spike* who sadly aren't with us anymore.

The acrylic seems really durable and I think they look great around our house to show off the wonderful places we've been to on our travels as well as Einstein and Spike which have to be the cutest piggies ever! My only slight issue is that the back of the print shows the paper of the photo (if that makes sense) and it can peel away from the acrylic very slightly when trying to push onto the stand; although I don't think anyone will be looking at the back - the photos are obviously the main focus.

Overall, I am so happy with the acrylic photo prints especially the photo quality, overall finish and I think the price is great. There are a couple of minor negatives but nothing that would put me off buying in the future or recommending them. The larger acrylic photo prints would be just perfect for a feature wall as well as birthday, graduation, anniversary or dare I say christmas gifts (yes, I'm already thinking about christmas, in August!). The wall prints, photo books and photo calendars are also some of the Snapfish best sellers. Overall rating: ★★★★✩, 4/5.

Have you bought anything from Snapfish? What do you think of the acrylic photo prints?

Christmas Gifts: Snapfish Personalised Gifts

Monday, November 24, 2014
I have never really liked personalised items/gifts until recently so when I saw the campaign/opportunity to work with Snapfish by HP on Bloggers Required, I jumped at the chance and luckily I was accepted. If you don't have the website Bloggers Required as a bookmark, then you need to! I was kindly given a code to use on the website and these are all of the items I made/purchased with the code.

Firstly, I found the process of uploading my photos, creating collages and items really simple and easy; the photos didn't take too long to upload and they all turned out so well, even if the photographs were not the highest quality to begin with! I chose a 2015 calendar, a notebook, a mug and two christmas cards all of which came to less than £40 including delivery which I think is fantastic!

The first item I made on the website was the *Snapfish Classic 11' by 8.5" Wall Calendar (from £14.99). The background can be changed, I chose the Joy of Seasons background. Instead of adding individual photographs to the calendar, I made a college and added it as one large photo which worked really well. The photo quality is fantastic, they are sharp and as crisp as they were when I took them which I am so impressed by as I thought they might be a bit stretched or pixelated but they aren't.

Next up are the two christmas cards, I made one for my grandad and one for my sister. I love the christmas card designs! Some of the card can be bought individually but others can only be purchased as pack which would be great if you have a lot of family to send a personalised card too. I chose the *'Chalkboard Peace Love Joy Christmas & NY' Card (£2.49) for my sister and the *'Snowflake Boarder' Card (£2.49) for my grandad, both of which are great quality and easy to make! You can have the cards sent directly to the recipient or to yourself, I was a little disappointed to find that there an envelope wasn't included with the cards.

I do have a slight obsession with mugs, ok, a massive obsession bordering on the ridiculous... but I had to get a photograph mug! I must have clicked the wrong option as I wanted a 'magic' mug that changes colour but I have a *plain white 11oz Photo Collage mug (£7.99). As with the calendar and cards, the mug was easy to make - the only difficult and time consuming part is deciding on the photos! Even though some of the photos I chose for the mug are quite old and not very clear, they came out great, in my opinion.

Last but not least, my favourite item - yes, it is stationary and it has photographs of our latest holiday on the front, including photos from Florence (one of my favourite places in Italy so far). I chose the *Six Photo Collage Notebook (£5.99) which I think is great value for money! I am now using it as my 'blogging notebook' and I LOVE it!

Overall, I am so impressed with the items I received, the quality is fantastic (even if the photos aren't amazing), the designs are great and the dispatch time was so quick - I had all of my items within about 5/6 days! I would definitely recommend checking out Snapfish by HP for amazing, great value personalised christmas gifts!
