The Best Smoothies Ever?
Since starting veganuary I've been incorporating so much more fruits, veggies and smoothie powders into my diet which I'm loving and loving how it's making me feel - I'm feeling far better about what I'm eating compared to my vegetarian diet over the festive season! Smoothies have now become a regular lunch option for me and they've actually become a replacement of sweet treats too.

Today's post features two smoothies that I have been loving over the past few weeks and I wanted to share them as they're so quick, easy and healthy options. I use my NutriBullet to make all of my smoothies and if you have smoothies often then I cannot recommend it enough as it manages to make smoothies incredibly smooth.

Green Smoothie: Spinach, Apple, Orange Juice & Cucumber
This smoothie is one I make when I don't want a very fruity, citrusy smoothie and if I want something to fill me up as this one does that! I just put a large handful of washed spinach in my NutriBullet along with one small green apple, a small amount of cucumber and orange juice. Blend well then I add in a teaspoon of the *Indigo Nutrition Organic Supergreens Powder which contains wheatgrass, barleygrass, spirulina and other natural ingredients which are high in fibre as well as vitamins A, E, C, B2 and iron, zinc, magnesium.

Tropical Smoothie: Mango, Pineapple & Orange Juice
Now, this is definitely my favourite smoothie! It's the best combination I've ever tried and even though it doesn't seem to fill me up, it is so delicious, refreshing and it will be perfect for the spring and summer months or as a pick me up during the dull winter weeks we have left. I use about one cup of pineapple chunks, one mango and orange juice to make this smoothie - both amounts listed usually makes one large smoothie.

Let me know if you try these smoothie combinations? What are your favourite smoothie flavours? Are you taking part in veganuary?

Aduna Baobab Superfruit Powder
When it comes to superfood/superfruit powders and smoothies, I've tried quite a few as I'm a vegetarian and I want to get as much nutrition into my diet as possible as well as the all essential (and lacking in a vegetarian diet) protein.

I received the *Aduna Baobab Superfruit Powder (£7.99, 80g) recently and I was excited to try it. Firstly, I love the packaging, it's so colourful and vibrant; although I wish the container was different as the powder can go everywhere. The Aduna Baobab powder is almost 50% fibre and it has one of the highest antioxidant levels of any fruit in the world! It also contains calcium, vitamin C, thiamin and potassium. Additionally, it's 100% natural and it doesn't contain preservatives or additives.

I have been using the powder in my smoothies, I've been making so many recently and I wrote a post not long ago about some of my favourite smoothies recipes which you can check out, if you want. But for this powder I have been having a new smoothie concoction.

Green Apple, Mango, Orange Juice & Aduna Baobab Superfruit Powder

It's such a lovely, refreshing and summery combination - I love mango, apple and orange together and the superfruit powder adds extra nutrition such as fibre, vitamins and protein to my smoothie which is amazing. I only use about a teaspoon of the powder per smoothie but I'd add more if I made a larger smoothie. The powder doesn't add much flavour, just a hint of a sweet citrus flavour to my smoothie. It also doesn't add a powder taste to the smoothie which is fantastic and it isn't always the case with some of the powders I've tried. I also have a couple of samples of the *Aduna Moringa Green Superleaf Powder which I haven't tried yet but when I do, I'll update this post. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Have you tried any superfruit powders? What is your favourite smoothie recipe?
