Phytalotion - More Than Just A Moisturiser

Saturday, April 04, 2015
Rosehip oil seems to be the 'wonder' product recently as it's included in quite a lot of nourishing and anti-aging skincare. Also many celebrities are fans of rosehip oil such as Kate Middleton, Miranda Kerr, Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow and also David Gandy.

Rosehip oil can help the recovery of scars and stretch marks as the oil contains essential fatty acids and bioflavonoids which are found in certain plants and are powerful anti-oxidants which protect the skin. Also rosehip oil contains a natural vitamin derivative which has been found to reduce wrinkles and smooth the skin. So there are a lot of good skin protecting ingredients in rosehip oil; Pytalotion also contains vitamin A & E and natural oils from jojoba seed, lavender, geranium and more.

Phytacol produces two versions of their rosehip products, one of which is the Phytaoil and the second which I have is the *Phytalotion (£9.99, 60ml). Firstly, I like the packaging, it is simple and it has a pump so it is more hygienic and convenient. I have been using the lotion on my small scars and on my skin where I have a dark spot on my forehead due to sun damage.

The lotion smells gorgeous, it smells like fresh lavender - I LOVE it! It is quick and easy to apply and it seems to absorb fairly quickly. I have been using a small amount of the lotion on the dark spot I have as well as a couple of tiny scars on my forehead. I have definitely noticed a reduction in pigmentation of the dark spot which is fantastic but I will need to test it more consistently to see if it works even better. I haven't really noticed much of a difference on my scars but again I do need to use this lotion more often and more consistently but so far so good!

Overall, I love the lotion formula of Phytalotion, I adore the scent and I am noticing some positive results from this product even though I haven't been using it consistently as I probably should. The Phytaoil version sounds great too, it can even be used as a bath oil.

Have you tried rosehip oil? Have you tried anything from Phytacol?
