The Happy Bee Company

The Happy Bee Company
We all have a favourite scent, to me that is definitely lavender! Lavender is such an incredibly relaxing and calming scent so I am always on the look out for bodycare, skincare, fragrances or pretty much anything that contains lavender. So I was super excited when this lovely package came from The Happy Bee Compact containing some of their wonderful natural, handmade lavender products!

The Happy Bee Company is base din Norfolk, I always love helping and trying products from smaller British companies. They use honey and or beeswax from their own bees in the products, the products also contain blends of oils and there are no chemicals, parabens or allergens in their products.

Firstly, I LOVE the packaging and the boxes the products came in! I know packaging isn't everything but it definitely makes a difference. I have the lavender hand cream, body scrub and body lotion; here are my thoughts:

The Happy Bee Company Lavender Hand Cream (£9.50, 50ml)
I love the packaging and the pump dispenser; the scent is also gorgeous, obviously, who doesn't love lavender! The scent as super strong as I would have liked but it is so nice all the same. The cream, as stated on the tube, is a thick, intense and nourishing cream (suitable for hands, body and face) but it applies and absorbs so quickly. I've been using it constantly as a hand cream since I received it - it doesn't irritate my eczema, it isn't heavy or greasy and it relives dryness and tightness almost instantly! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*The Happy Bee Company Lavender Exfoliating Body Oil Salt Scrub (£10.50, 300ml)
The scrub smells so nice! It is really exfoliating but not overly so; it leaves my skin so smooth, soft and moisturised with a slight oily feel which makes it perfect to use before shaving. I've been loving the scrub although I never really like scrubs in tub containers because water gets in the tub so I'd rather it was in a tube container. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*The Happy Bee Company Soothing Lavender Body Lotion (£14, 150ml)
Again, I love the packaging and the pump dispenser which makes it more convenient to use. As with the hand cream, it is so fast absorbing (which I love) and it smells lovely but I wish the scent was a little stronger. I also works well as a hand cream, it moisturises my eczema instantly and makes my skin feel so much more comfortable. It's lightweight and smoothing so it's perfect for spring/summer. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Overall, I'm so happy with these products! I love the packaging, the scent (obviously) and the quality - I have been using all three products so much since I received them a couple of weeks ago. If you don't like lavender *I don't know whats wrong with you*, then they do have a lot of other scents such as cherry blossom, white tea and orange blossom, which sound gorgeous!

FAME Vanilla + Coffee Sugar Scrub

Saturday, February 21, 2015
If you are a blogger, you definitely need to sign up to The Blogger Programme! It is an outreach site, were you can apply to campaigns, contact brands directly and generally look at blogger opportunities; you have to be very patient though as there are so many bloggers and the brands can't reply to everyone. One brand that I discovered via The Blogger Programme is For All My Eternity which is a fake tan, skincare and body care brand that uses natural, organic, paraben free ingredients for all of their products.

I was kindly given the opportunity to pick and test one of their products. I chose the *For All My Eternity Vanilla & Coffee Bean Sugar Scrub (£5.99, 100g) which was packaged so beautifully when it arrived. It contains lots of natural ingredients such as fair-trade cane sugar, arabica coffee beans and cocoa seed butter. When I first opened it, I thought I was sent the wrong product as it looks like a Lush massage bar or a lotion bar but when I used it in the shower, it is composed of little sugar grains. The product gives a fantastic, deep scrub to the skin which I always feel like my skin needs every couple of weeks. It is abrasive and effective but it isn't extremely harsh. However, if you have sensitive skin then it will definitely be too abrasive and exfoliating.

The product smells amazing, it doesn't smell like coffee as I thought it would (unless you smell the actual coffee beans on the top of the scrub) but it smells like vanilla, milk chocolate, sugar and cocoa - basically together it smells like a milkybar! The scrub leaves my skin so exfoliated and smooth as well as moisturised to an extent. I have been loving using this product! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Earth Conscious Natural Deodorant

Wednesday, December 24, 2014
I have recently started looking into more natural deodorants as a lot of 'normal' ones have a lot of aluminium in them which may be related to breast cancer although according to the National Cancer Institue there is no conclusive evidence but I would like to try to avoid deodorants with aluminium in them; so when Earth Conscious were looking for bloggers I jumped at the chance.

Earth Conscious is a small natural brand run by two mums; they make a range of products such as natural deodorants. I have the *Earth Conscious Lavender Deodorant (£4.99, 60g) which does not contain aluminium or any harsh chemicals. The deodorant is organic, it contains natural ingredients and the ingredients are locally sourced. The products are not tested on animals and the deodorant is homemade and expires after six months.

I have been using this deodorant for the past couple of weeks, I think it's fantastic. It is a little odd at first and it takes a while to get used to as it is a solid deodorant in a metal tin. Also as the deodorant is solid, it can be difficult to warm up, especially when the heating isn't on full! However using the product is fairly quick and easy; and the scent is gorgeous, as all lavender things are!

The product works well on an everyday basis although if you are going to the gym, have a very long busy day ahead or are braving the crowds sale shopping, it wouldn't be enough! The tin is fairly big and I think it will quite a long time too.

Overall, I like the packaging, the scent and the product itself; it personally works quite well for me and it is natural! The natural, organic, aliminium free element is fantastic!
