I had a voucher for Net-A-Porter and after quite a long time of deliberations, I finally made an order! They have some products/brands that are not widely available on the high street or even in Europe such as La Vanilla which I have only heard of by the wonderful Essie Button who loves this deodorant but until now it was only available in the US.
So the first product I added to my basket was the La Vanilla The Healthy Deodorant (Fresh Lemon Vanilla scent, £10). It is very expensive for a deodorant in my opinion, especially with £5 postage as well but I had to try it as Essie Button loves it and it is the first online shop in the UK to stock it as far as I know. The deodorant is a solid stick, it is 100% natural and it doesn't contain aluminium which is fantastic as I have stopped using deodorants that contain aluminium due to possible negative health effects. So far it is amazing and the scent is just gorgeous; I would have bought the lavender scent but it was sold out however I'm glad as this scent is lovely.
Next up, I bought two products from the much coveted Charlotte Tilbury, finally! I picked up one of the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre Luxe Colour-Lasting Lip Lacquer in Sweet Stiletto (£16). Firstly, the packaging is a dream and the shade is a gorgeous natural pink with peachy undertones which I thought would look too pastel/baby pink but it doesn't, it is a brighter, pinker, my lips but better shade. The longevity is pretty good at around four/five hours and it's very comfortable and easy to wear.
The second Charlotte Tilbury purchase is one of the Colour Chameleon Colour Morphing Eye Shadow Pencil in Amber Haze For Brown Eyes (£17). I don't believe in the colour matching system of this product, you don't have to only buy the shades that are supposed to be for your eye colour. I picked up the bronze shade which contains golden shimmer and deep red tones which I have to say looks so gorgeous. I was hesitant to buy one of these as I have no luck with eyeshadow pencils as every single one creases easily on me eyes - it might be because on the whole my eye lids are fairly oily and my eyes are quite deep set too. I tried it lightly on the lids and it creased easily after a couple of hours which is a really disappointing start but I haven't tried it with a primer yet so I have my fingers crossed that it won't crease with a primer!
Overall, I'm very happy with the deodorant and lip lacquer but I have to say I'm disappointed with the Colour Chameleon Eye Shadow Stick. This was my first order from Net-A-Porter and I'm impressed with the quick delivery time and the way my order was packaged was so luxe and fancy with black paper and ribbons.
