Month in Photos: October

Wednesday, November 05, 2014
I cannot believe it is now November, where has the year gone! October has been filed with a LOT of new makeup releases, testing products, halloween makeup, baking, a baby shower, hair loss, crafting, my mums + granddads birthdays and winning a couple of amazing competition including one where Becky Sheeran from Talk Becky Talk mentions my blog!

First up, I won an amazing competition this month on twitter hosted by the youtuber Talk Becky Talk. You had to tweet a autumn video suggestion to her and she would make the video for the new Hello Fashion website and give a shout out to the winner. I won and I didn't expect her to go onto my blog and mention it in the post and her video. It was so surreal watching her talk about me and my blog briefly as I watch her videos anyway! You can check out her post and video, here!

Most of the time my creativity is channelled into my blog photos and writing but this month I have been baking gingerbread cookies for the first time which everyone loves and creating halloween makeup looks. I actually created a halloween look for the Fragrance Direct blog (here) along with the likes of Miss Budget Beauty and the lovely Georgina from She Might Be Loved, here. I was given the 'lady vamp' look to recreate, its definitely not a look I would have chosen to do as it isn't very scary or creative but I like the way it turned out and Fragrance Direct is one of my favourite beauty websites so it was great to work with them again.

Also this month I have been doing something that I didn't think I ever would - knitting! Well, it is actually loom knitting which is far easier in my opinion. My auntie taught me and we made a baby blanket for one of my best friends who is almost due - we went to her baby shower this month and everyone loved the blanket! I also made one myself for my mums birthday last week and I am currently making a blanket for my sister! If you would like a wool pom pom blanket for yourself or as a baby/pram blanket let me know and I can make one!

I hope everyone had a great October, I am now full of a cold so I missed a blogger event yesterday *cries* but November looks like it will be a great month! Happy bonfire/Guy Fawkes Night!!
