Winter to Spring Staples ft. Brantano
A couple of weeks ago, I started the process of minimising my wardrobe, pre-spring cleaning my clothing collection and working out which items I'm wearing the most and which I hardly ever wear. As well as jumpers, dresses, knitwear, leggings and stretchy skinny jeans, I find that my most worn items are...ankle boots.

My go to casual everyday outfit: jeans, jumper and ankle boots; also my more formal or feminine outfit features a skater dress, tights and black ankle boots. For me, ankle boots are an essential during every season and I can't be without them so when I was able to choose a pair to review from the lovely people at Brantano, I couldn't say no!

*Brantano Emilio Luca X Tectrix Ankle Boots (£20, SALE)
I have about five pairs of black ankle boots and only a couple of pair that aren't all black so I decided to choose this pair of gorgeous brown boots - they do look a lot more tan online than they actually are but I still love them! I love the simple shape, block heel which makes them super comfortable and easy to wear and the shade that's perfect for pairing with indigo jeans.

The fringing detailing is something I wasn't sure about but I just love it, it makes the boots a little more unique and interesting - also it's quite a spring/summer detail. They are so incredibly comfortable to wear, I can wear them all day without my feet hurting although I do have a couple of complaints; the sole of the boots are quite slippery and walking on tiles or laminate can be a little precarious. Also the boots are categorised as ankle boots but on me they come up much higher, especially compared to my other ankle boots, so they make my jeans look a little scrunched up.

However, I'm really happy with these boots as they are very comfortable, they go with so many casual outfits and they are really inexpensive at only £20 currently as they're on sale from £40 at Brantano. These ankle boots will be a staple of my winter and spring wardrobe! Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5.

What do you think of these ankle boots? What are your winter to spring wardrobe staples?

Christmassy OOTD ft. Brantano
Christmas is almost here so I thought I share a christmassy outfit, to be honest this is as christmassy as my wardrobe gets! It is an outfit that I'd wear so often as it is cosy, comfy and slightly festive but not overly so (I'm not a massive fan of over the top christmas jumpers). I was kindly sent a couple of the items in this post so thank you to Brantano and Dezzel - I'm happy with both items!

Firstly, excuse the food baby I have going on, that's what happens when I'm stress eating because I've had driving lessons and my practical driving test this week (which I passed and I still can't believe that I have!). I chose the gorgeous *Dezzal Bluequeen Red A Line Sweater Dress ($75.99) in the size M/Medium which is perfect for me and I'm a UK size 10.

The dress is a gorgeously festive cherry red shade which I love and it is made of a super soft, smooth and cosy sweater like material. The dress is very stretchy, very thick and it is really heavy - I was surprised when it arrived at how heavy it was. Today has been quite chilly and I can easily wear this dress with thin Primark tights and my Newlook leather jacket and be really warm just because the dress is very thick and cosy so it would be an ideal christmas or new year party dress this winter! Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5, it's lost one star as the lower half of the dress is fixed into a flared shape and I'd rather it laid flat, if that makes sense.

I was also very kindly sent these gorgeous boots from the lovely people at Brantano! I wear boots constantly during the autumn and winter months...and spring too as they are so versatile and just go with everything! I find that some boots can feel fine for a short period of time but then they really start to rub which isn't great while shopping or walking round the Manchester christmas markets as it feels so uncomfortable but these boots are the comfiest boots I've ever worn!

I have the gorgeous *Clarks Enfield River Ankle Boots (£65) in a UK size 3 and they fit perfectly for me (I'm a 2.5 usually so I'd say to go a size up as they boots have a padded interior). I love the straps and buckle details and the chunky heel size which isn't tiny but it isn't too high either. The padded interior feels like I'm walking around in slippers, they are so comfortable and lovely to wear. I've been wearing them with tights and dresses but they would also be great with black jeans and cosy jumpers too - I couldn't be happier with them and I can't recommend them enough!

I haven't tried any Clarks shoes since I was in primary school and picking out school shoes but from now on I'll definitely be checking out their boots and Brantano have such a wide range of boots to choose from including gorgeous Clarks options. Brantano offer free delivery on orders over £35 and they have so many shoes and boots for men, women and children. If they have a Boxing Day or January sale then I will be looking out for boots on their website. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5 as they are the comfiest shoes ever *not an exaggeration!*.

What do you think of my christmassy OOTD? Have you bought anything from Dezzal or Brantano?
