Get Ready With Me

Here is my outfit of the evening (OOTE) and my get ready with my style video - I have never done anything like this before so bear with me! It was my friends 21st birthday this evening so I thought I would make this post showing my outfit and me getting ready (for the very few people that might be interested!). Sorry for the super creepy face! Step One: Hair! Sorry about the videos playing at once - we used Vine and it is my first time using it! So for my hair I used my KMS Free Shape Blow dry Spray before I blow dried my hair and it seriously cut down the time it took to dry my hair - and I have a lot of hair! Then I used my KMS Free shape heat activated spray thing to keep my heated hair style in place (it is a heat activated styling spray that is supposed to keep your style the same for longer). I love the Babylis Big Hair, I use it to finally dry my hair and shape it so that it doesn't look as frizzy. I straightened my hair after this, you only have 30 seconds of time for each Vine video. 

 

Step two: Makeup! I have been using the same products for a while and the Laura Mercier lip glace and the Cosmopolitan sponge are definitely part of my May favourites! Firstly, primer, I love the Body Shop moisturise it primer - it keeps my makeup looking fresher for longer. Then foundation and I had to search through all of my foundations to find one that didn't have spf as I knew I was going to have my photograph taken. Like the foundation although it isn't great coverage for me. Brows, I always do my brows it is a step in my makeup routine that is essential. Then shadow, contour, eyebrow gel, curling lashes, mascara and lip gloss. I ran out of time on the Vine video for the footage of my gel liner application. 

 

Step three: Clothing! I didn't know what to wear (as usual) but I went for my navy and white polka dot skater dress from Asos Petite - size 6 and I LOVE it! I added my debenhams black heels, Newlook Brown satchel and my favourite perfume of the moment - YSL Parisienne.

Makeup Collection: Foundation

Here is part of my makeup collection - this is a series of posts about my makeup collection, what I have and my favourite products in my collection!

Here are my foundations! I will just list the ones I have and then I will go through my favourites! So I have: a mini Nars sheer glow, Jemma Kidd Pro Finish Moisture Tint, The Body Shop Moisture Foundation, Lancome Teint Miracle, Maybelline Age Rewind 'the eraser' foundation, Illamasqua Light Liquid Foundation, Benefit Hello Flawless. Then in the second drawer I have: Kiko Medium Foundation, Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect, Model co 2 in 1 foundation, Collection Cover and Go (foundation and concealer), Avon Ideal Flawless, Rimmel Lasting Finish, Kiko Anti-Age foundation. And some foundations are not in these drawers as I forgot to put them in and I sorted out these foundations later on. So the other foundations I have that are missing from the photographs include: Shu Uemura Nobara Cream Foundation and the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation. I also had the Bourjois brush on foundation which I LOVE but it ran out last year, I will have to get another one!

My favourite foundations from my collection include: Illamasqua Light Liquid Foundation, Jemma Kidd Moisture Tint, Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect and I also really like the Maybelline and Benefit foundations but they are too dark for my very pale skin. 


I have a few foundations that are too dark for my very pale skin and some other makeup items that I have sorted out so if you want a blog sale then just leave a comment!

Week in photographs #11

Face of the day: Liner and pink lips

Another week has flown by really quickly and it is time for my weekly round up! Firstly, experimenting with my eyeliners which resulted in my face of the day photographs. I used my bourjois 10 hour sleep effect foundation, Stila waterproof liquid liner and Shu Uemura lipstick in the shade BG 941.

I have also been making some cheeky online purchases from Topshop and L'Ocitane! I bought some Topshop undercrackers (knickers/panties) in a cute pumpkin print and some Topshop reindeer cupcake cases which are just adorable! Both of which were in the sale, the knickers were £1 and the cupcake cases were 50p each! I also bought some Topshop pyjamas in the sale and they came to £9 (free delivery and student discount). Yes, these pj's are maternity but I just bought the size 'S small' and they fit well - I am a UK size 8 to 10 and no I am not pregnant. Also I have bought two makeup items from L'Occitane which will have their own blog post on monday or tuesday. 

I have been burning my Bath and Body Works (whitebarn) candle in the scent 'creamy pumpkin' this week and this candle doesn't smell anything like pumpkin...it just smells like creamy vanilla to me, anyway it is a really nice scent. I have also been knitting again this week and my sister, mum and auntie have as well. We are making snoods and mug 'jackets' to sell at a fare/stall in April. 

Lastly, my favourite products this week have been my Korres Shower Gel in the scent 'Guava' which I adore and my Nivea lip butter in the flavour Vanilla and macadamia. I haven't stopped using both of these products! I think I will make this 'favourite products of the week' a regular item on my weekly round up posts - what do you think?
