Review: Bioderma Sensibio Soothing Mask

Monday, March 10, 2014
Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands, I have been using Bioderma Sebium Micelle Solution to remove my makeup for about three years now (on and off) and I adore it - I bought a two 500ml pack while on holiday in Corsica for around €15 which is incredible. But Bioderma is not that widely available at all in the UK but I recently found a fantastic website full of french skincare such as Bioderma and so much more - it is Farmaline.co.uk. I was very kindly sent a few items to review from Farmaline although this does not affect my opinion of the brands/products, for more information about my disclaimer, click here.

Farmaline is a pharmacy that ships to the UK at really low prices - so much cheaper than French online pharmacies - approx. £6/7 shipping or delivery is free if you spend £75. Farmaline is based in Belgium and the delivery was very fast!
I am a massive fan of French skincare from Bioderma and Caudalie to Vichy, Avene and Aderma - all of which are sold by Farmaline. For this review I have the *Bioderma Sensibio Soothing Mask for sensitive and intolerant skin (75ml, £13.48). I have tried a few products from Bioderma such as the Sebium micelle solution, Hydrabio micelle solution, Atoderm PO Zinc Soothing Cream and the Atoderm foaming gel - all of which I love.

I haven't tried a new face mask (or any actually) for a long time as I had a very bad experience with the I Love...Strawberries Mask last year - I would never recommend that mask, it ruined my skin for about a month! Anyway, I have tried a few Bioderma products before so I wasn't worried about this one at all, Bioderma is a fantastic brand for sensitive skin. I have used this mask four times and I love it. It just looks like a white cream moisturiser and you apply a layer after cleansing and let it absorb for about 10 minutes then wipe off the excess. I use the Avene water spray on a cotton pad to remove it.

I find this mask does not irritate my skin at all! It feels nice and smooth on the skin, it doesn't really have a scent to it and the mask is very quick and easy to use. There is no mess with this mask, it is a cream and once it has absorbed it leaves my skin feeling soothed, moisturised and nourished. Overall, I am very happy with this mask, it is fantastic for sensitive and dry skin types. I would highly recommend it, I will be buying a new tube from Farmaline when this one runs out. ★★★★★, 5/5.

Have you bought anything from Farmaline before? Have you tried any products from Bioderma?

Sister Beauty Haul

Saturday, May 25, 2013
Myself and my sister had a bit of a shopping spree (online) a couple of weeks ago - here are the beauty items we have purchased over the past couple of weeks or so.
All of the items were bought from Superdrug as they were having some great deals - the trio of teeth products (macleans toothpaste, colgate whitening toothbrush and colgate max white one mouth wash) were all about half price with the cheapest being 95p and the most expensive being £1.49. My sister bought the Blanx Extrawhitening Intensive Whitening Treatment (£10.99)too.

I also bought some makeup bits from MUA: I bought one of the new MUA nail polishes in the glass bottles (trying to look like Essie polishes I think...). I bought the shade 'amaretto crush'. I only bought one as I thought they wouldn't be great, they are only £1 though. I am very very very impressed with this nail polish - review coming very soon. I also bought the MUA eyebrow pencil in the shade 'brunette' which I am not very happy with it. The brow pencil is fairly creamy so it looks very obvious and it needs a lot of care when using - and a lot of brushing through.

I finally bought the new Loreal Skin Perfecting 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution. I bought it when it was half price but it is now £4.99. I haven't tried it yet but I have heard a lot of good things about it even comparing it to Bioderma. I don't think anything will be as good as Bioderma but we will see. Finally my sister bought the Bourjois Small Powder Brush (£4.99) - it is a small kabuki brush and it looks so cute but it is not as soft as I thought it would be.

Mini international blog giveaway coming soon - with prizes from Urban Decay and more! x

Late March Favourites

Thursday, April 11, 2013
Here are the products I have been loving through out the month of march and into April. I haven't done a favourites post in a while as I have been trying out a lot of new products and I haven't been sticking to the same products - but these four have just been constantly in use through out march and April.
1. Bioderma Ultra Soothing Cream: I bought two products from Bioderma a couple of months ago now and one of them as worked its way into my everyday skincare routine. I have been using this facial moisturiser from Bioderma for the past month and I love it. It is a moisturiser for irritated, very dry sensitive skin which describes my skin almost exactly. The moisturiser is 100ml and I have used up about a quarter (or just over) in a month. Love this product, I will write a full review as soon as I can.

2. Yves Rocher Sexy Plump Mascara: A long standing favourite of mine, I have had this sample longer than anyone should probably but I just love it! This has to be my favourite mascara of all time (I also love the Diorshow waterproof mascara but it is quite expensive). This makes my lashes look volumised, defined and lengthened but natural and gorgeous!

3. Benefit Fake Up Concealer: I received this half way through March (I won it in a Debenhams competition) and I really like it - although it is not without its faults. The shade is great, it applies nicely (when applied in a certain way) and it doesn't really look caky - full review soon.

4. Cosmopolitan Beauty Sponge: My last favourite of this month has to be my Cosmopolitan Beauty Foundation Sponge which I have been buying for years (maybe three years now). I have been using this sponge to apply my foundation all of this month as my skin has been super super dry and flaky because of an eczema break out and this sponge (when damp) is the only way I can apply foundation when my eczema flares up. I don't know what I would do without this product!
