*The Restored Quiz + Foundations Of Health

Today's post focuses on one of my general goals for 2019, to improve my overall health and sleeping pattern. For the latter half of last year and the beginning of 2019, I did let my diet, sleep pattern and general health decline a bit but I wanted to change that. Since switching to a vegan diet my skin has improved and I'm starting to eat healthier on the whole and as I don't have any major or pressing health concerns (thankfully), it is a little difficult to know where to start when it comes to what aspect of my health I should focus on the most.

The Restored: Foundations Of Health & Quiz
Thankfully, The Restored, a lifestyle brand focusing on equipment and supplements (that will be launching in August 2019) have created a simple system and philosophy that makes it easy to focus on improving your health. Their philosophy is focused on four aspects of health: sleep, nutrition, movement and mindset. They believe, as I do, that you need to have a good level of all four aspects of health (sleep, nutrition, movement and mindset) to make significant improvements to your health.

Everything surrounding your health is linked, as you could have a poor or disturbed sleeping pattern which would then affect your mindset, for example. I think that thinking of health as a collection of factors from not only physical exercise or your diet but also your mental health and sleep is a great idea as they do all affect one another in some way.

They have created an easy and very quick quiz that you can complete in a minute or so to find out the main aspect of your health you perhaps should be focusing on currently. At the end of the quiz, you'll be given free advice and practical steps to follow that could improve that aspect of your health. I completed the quiz and here are my results:

My Results: Sleep
I received the advice to focus on the sleep aspect of my health which definitely needs attention! Sleep is such an important aid to healing and recovery as well as how restorative it can be for your body and mental health. I personally find it incredibly difficult to fall asleep and I always have done so I probably should have been focusing on it well before now. It also doesn't help that I keep my phone and iPad next to my bed - I should probably keep them in another room.

The Restored offer free online courses and there are three to choose from when it comes to the sleep aspect of health including: trouble falling asleep, is stress affecting your sleep and trouble staying asleep. All three are 'doctor approved' and hopefully they'll help which then means that you can take the quiz again to see what the next foundation of health you need to focus on is.

Improving your health doesn't necessarily have to be difficult if you take small but consistent steps and focus on one aspect at a time. I thoroughly agree with their approach to health as they acknowledge that you can't improve everything at once and you need to take simple steps over a period of time to see any improvement. I think the quiz is a great way of narrowing down your current concerns and pin pointing one area to dedicate your attention to. The quiz is very quick and easy to complete so why not give it a go.

The Restored combine effective products and practical guidelines to help you improve your health and they'll be launching their products very soon but you can pre-order some of them now including their sleep aid supplement which was the product recommend to me at the end of the quiz. If you're interesting in their philosophy or products then check out The Restored website.

Will you be taking the quiz? What do you think of the 'foundations of health' philosophy?
