LookFantastic Advent Calendar 2018

Monday, October 15, 2018
There are so many beauty advent calendars out there and one of my favourites is definitely the LookFantastic advent calendar which I was very kindly sent (thank you!). I have the full review on of the advent calendar on All Subscription Boxes website so you can visit there to read an in-depth review of all the items!

Lookfantastic has such a wide range of brands so it's no wonder that their advent calendar contains a wide range of brands and products from various price ranges, although most of them tend to be of a higher price point such as HD Brows, Molton Brown and more. You might know that LookFantastic also has a subscription box which is always beautifully curated and you get the same care, attention to detail and fantastic products within the 2018 advent calendar.
The *LookFantastic Advent Calendar (£79) is worth over £300 so I think it is amazing value for money, not only considering the amount of items but also the brands included and some of the items are full sized. There are so many beauty advent calendars out there and there seem to be more and more each year but this design has to be one of my favourites! It looks amazing, it could definitely be re-used and I think it would make a fantastic and very special gift this christmas that your gift recipient (or yourself, I'm not judging) would love to open on the first of December.

There are a variety of brands included and a range of items too from toothpaste, haircare and skincare to makeup, bath and body products, tools and treatments with everything in-between. Brands range from the affordable Sleek Makeup, Eyeko and This Works to more luxe offerings including Molton Brown, Omorovicza, GlamGlow and many more as well as a selection of more niche brands that you might not see in your local beauty store such as Lipstick Queen, Erno Laszlo and others.
Makeup + Tools
Let's start with some of the makeup products I'm loving from the advent calendar and the one I have to mention first is this HD Brows X LookFantastic Contour and Colour Pro Palette which I've been using almost everyday since I received it. Another couple of products that have already made it into my daily makeup routine include the Blink Brow Bar Ultra Slim Definer, Lipstick Queen Lipstick in Frog Price and the Eyeko Mini Black Magic Mascara, all of which I'd recommend. Lastly, for my makeup favourites, I love the LookFantastic duo brush as not only is it a very soft brush but it's multi-use too.
Skincare
Skincare is one of those things that is quite personal and everyones skin is completely different but thankfully the advent calendar has provided a few gems that my dry and sensitive skin has been adoring over the past couple of weeks. The first skincare favourite is the Emma Hardie Brilliance Facial Oil which comes in the teeniest bottle with a pipette! The oil has been saving my skin from being like the Sahara recently so I might have to purchase the full size soon.

My second skincare favourite is from a brand that I have wanted to try for so long - First Aid Beauty. I love the packaging of their products and the reputation of their Ultra Repair Cream for how great it is on sensitive and eczema prone skin. After using it for a couple of weeks I can confirm that it's amazing on sensitive and dry skin types so if that describes your skin then definitely check out their products (or buy the advent calendar to try everything I've mentioned and more!).
Bath & Body
Next up is the range of indulgent bath and body products, starting with one of the most luxe from Molton Brown. My lovely aunties were the first people to introduce me to the concept of skincare and luxe beauty brands, starting with Liz Earle and Molton Brown. Molton Brown has become one of my favourite brands and I was lucky enough to work with them a couple of years ago. I adore their Ylang Ylang range and I'd love to try more but in the meantime this heavenly scented body wash will do very nicely.

Speaking of luxe and indulgent pampering, the Aromatherapy Associates Bath and Shower Oil is also included and again it's a brand I've tried a little from but I'd love to try much more as I always hear amazing things about their products. The final body product I'm loving is the gorgeous Ritual Magic Body Cream which not only smells incredible but it has the most lovely texture as it seems almost whipped and airy; however it is very nourishing and ideal for the colder months.
Haircare & Miscellaneous
The last category is haircare and it's no surprise to anyone that there are a few hidden gems in here! My favourite of the lot has to be the Grow Gorgeous Mud Mask which comes beautifully packaged and it seems to work wonders on my hair. As well as haircare, there are a few more miscellaneous products have don't have a category such as the This Works Stress Check Roll On which has made a home in my bag and will be perfect for moments when I need a little calm.

Overall, from the gorgeous design of the box, value for money and the size of the products to the quality and variety of the brands included, I don't think you can go wrong with this advent calendar! I think it looks so indulgent and luxurious and for the price you do actually get quite a lot for your money.

What do you think of the 2018 LookFantastic advent calendar? Will you be picking up a beauty advent calendar this year?
