Christmas Gift Guide: Crowd Pleasers

Tuesday, November 07, 2017
Christmas adverts mark the start of the festive season so you'll be seeing many more gift guides and gift ideas from now on! Today's post is my first 'all round and crowd pleasers' gift guide of 2017 and it features some wonderful brands including Botanicals, Gift Company, Red Candy and more.

My dad and grandad are the only two people that I buy for who are difficult as I never know what to get them so they end up with the same products every year but thankfully I've found some fantastic gifts that they'll love and would be great for a range of people from world travellers, baking enthusiasts, hygge lovers, new home owners or foodies.

*Botanicals Lemongrass Body Balm (£20, 60ml)
Let's start with the pampering product! I've received a couple of products from Botanicals and loved them so I had to include another within a gift guide this year! This gorgeous lemongrass body balm is part of the 'lemon refresher gift set' but it can be bought individually too. All of their products are handmade in England, natural and numerous ingredients are organic which is fantastic.

The lemongrass body balm contains organic shea butter which we all know is amazing for dry skin as well as balancing mandarin and toning lemongrass. It can be used on any areas of dryness such as hands, cuticles, feet or elbows. It comes beautifully packaged, it's so moisturising and nourishing and the scent is heavenly as it's fresh, invigorating and gender neutral. I think it would be a great stocking filler or as part of a Christmas hamper - it's an essential for this time of the year.
*Lab Cork Lid Storage Jars (£9.50, pack of two) via Red Candy
We all know by now that I'm a fan of pretty but practical presents and these storage jars tick all of the boxes as they are inexpensive, they look so unique and they are practical kitchen or general storage jars. They are 150ml each so they'd be great for salt, pepper, spices or nuts/seeds within the kitchen or jewellery, lip balms, bath salts or supplements, the list is endless!

I love the design of these cute storage jars as well as the cork lid and the size is great too although they do have other sizes if these are too small - 250ml, 500ml and 1000ml options. They also come nicely packaged so they'd make a fantastic gift for a new home owner, foodie or anyone interested in science, chemistry or biology. They'd even make a great gift for teachers, lecturers or teaching assistant this Christmas.
*Sonic Chic Deluxe Electric Travel Toothbrush (£15, SALE - RRP £30)
Next up is a gift that would be great to include within a travelling themed hamper or as a stocking filler for those who travel often or are off on a gap year! The Sonic Chic Deluxe Toothbrush can be charged via USB, it has a precision head and a two minute timer as well as a dual-speed option with either 28,00 strokes per minute or 32,000 per minute.

I was kindly sent the silver option but it also comes in a rose gold option too! I think it would make a wonderful gift for travellers or if someone just wanted a slim, everyday electric toothbrush. It would also work as a stocking filler or within a Christmas hamper/gift set, maybe with the body balm as it's a great multi-use balm.
*Vremi Veg Out Spiralizer (£7.99 - SALE)
I think food and baking gifts are some of the safest gifts to give as most people cook or bake and these items from Vremi are great everyday products from cooking beginners or seasoned *get it?* cooks. I have had a spiralizer for a year or so and while I don't use it everyday, it is an item that gets a lot of use in the kitchen making 'noodles' out of vegetables.

The main use for my spiralizer is to make carrot or courgette noodles to add raw to stir frys. I don't cook the vegetable noodles as they just become soggy and they are better raw to add some crunch to your stir fry or salad. This one is great, I love the minimal packaging and it also comes with a vegetable peeler and cleaning brush.

*Vremi Flour Power Baking Mats (£12.99 - SALE)
Another cooking item that I know would be a hit with my friends and family are these silicone baking mats as we all love to cook and bake. The mats come in three sizes, they are re-useable and easy to clean, they're easy to store in the tube they come in and all three mats are non-stick which makes them ideal for Christmas baking - whether it's gingerbread cookies, macaroons or christmassy appetisers. I will be getting so much use out of them over the next couple of months. I will be hosting a giveaway next week in which you could win these two baking items so stay tuned!
*Crisp Cotton Large Jar Candle (£6.99 - SALE)
Lastly, candles, you can't go wrong with candles for mums, aunties, friends or as secret Santa gifts! The Gift Company site has so many large jar candles that are so inexpensive but they look great. I have the 'crisp cotton' and the 'frosty night' variations but there are also boxed versions and so many other scents to choose from.

Both fragrance options are fantastic for this time of the year as they both look simple and clean so they'd match any decor. The scent of the 'crisp cotton' candle is fresh, sweet and clean - just like freshly washed cotton and soap so it's an ideal gender neutral candle option.

*Frosty Night Large Jar Candle (£6.99 - SALE)
The final item is a wonderfully christmassy candle which to me has a gorgeous, crisp winters day scent. I think it would be a hit all around at this time of the year. It's musky and festive but it is also fresh, crisp and wintery which I love. The candles are huge so they are going to last for a while with an approx. 100 - 105 hour burn time. Either one of the candles in todays post would be perfect, substantial Christmas gifts for anyone this year! Definitely check out their site if you're looking for inexpensive homeware and candles for yourself or someone this Christmas.

I think all of the items in this gift guide would be great for so many people this Christmas from family, friends and neighbours to colleagues or as secret santa gifts! Everything is reasonably priced, especially the candles and baking products, all of which are currently on sale so go, go, go. Check out my short video below to see the gifts in more detail!
