If you have been following my blog for the past few months then you may have seen the two Naturisimo 'discovery' boxes that are released every month. They are natural beauty boxes which have a different theme, for example, the first box I received was the Travel Essentials Box and the most recent box was the Cleanse and Polish Box, both of which I loved.
The new *Naturisimo Hair Heroes Box (£9.95) is themed around luxury hair samples to give your hair the attention it deserves. The box contains three generous samples sizes as well as four sample sachets from the following brands: Tabitha James Kraan, Rahua and Swell.
I haven't tried anything from Tabitha James Kraan which is an organic, natural haircare brand. The Tabitha James Kraan Organic Hair Cleanser in Golden Citrus (£9, 60ml) smells amazing, it's one of the nicest smelling hair products I've used for a while actually. The bottle is really unusual for a shampoo as it is metal. The shampoo itself is a little disappointing as it doesn't seem to lather at all in my hair and I don't feel like it made my hair as clean as it could be. However the Tabitha James Kraan Organic 4 in 1 Conditioner in Golden Citrus is amazing - it smells nice and it leaves my hair smooth, tangle free and it's very light so it doesn't weigh down my hair or make it greasy, win win!
Sticking with the hair washing theme, I tried the Rahua shampoo and conditioner samples a couple of days ago and I did only get one use out of the sachets because I do have long and thick hair. Both have an unusual scent and the shampoo doesn't lather like a lot of natural shampoos as they don't contain SLS or sodium laureate sulphate. The conditioner is fantastic, it leaves my hair soft and completely tangle free which is very impressive as my hair is thick and prone to knots.
Next up the Swell Ultimate Volume Hair Masque which is a really generous sample size. It is a deep treatment and claims to add volume and gloss by restoring elasticity and manageability. I love the packaging, the hair mask is quick and easy to apply and it does actually give my hair volume. I find that most products that claim to be volumising don't really add any volume to my hair but this one does.
There are also two sample sachets from Rahua (which is a 100% natural, vegan brand) including their cream wax and finishing treatment both of which sound great but I haven't had the chance to use them yet.
Overall, a bit of a mixed box for me personally, probably because I'm not that used to natural haircare but the Tabitha James Kraan conditioner is amazing (both of her products smell damn gorgeous) and the Rahua conditioner is also fantastic. The Swell mask is a nice product but it does add volume to my thick, long hair. There are a couple of products that haven't wowed me but the box overall is great value for money as the contents is worth £34!! It's definitely worth a try, especially if you want to treat your hair and start using more natural products. Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5.

What do you think of this months Naturisimo Hair Heroes Box? Have you tried any of these products?
Ohh this sounds wonderful! I would love to subscribe to a box like this. I have more than enough makeup right now so I just canceled my beauty box subscription. I'm going to look into this one.

DeleteHi Heather, I absolutely love the masque. It really took the frizziness and dryness out of my hair (post-Summer damage!). And I've always loved the Rahua finishing treatment, provided that I remember to use just a touch (it's so rich). Thanks for your comments on my post BTW :) Tx
ReplyDeleteIt's a great mask! No problem x
