Bodhi + Birch The Temple Balm

Bodhi and Birch is a British luxury brand, creating gorgeous natural bodycare, skincare and gifts. I've reviewed their fantastic facial oils and Rosa Rosa range on my blog so I was excited to try more from the brand as I've been so impressed by the samples I've tried.

I have the *Bodhi and Birch Mint The Temple Balm (£15, 15g) which contains some of the following natural ingredients: eucalyptus, babassu nut oil, frankincense and white camphor oil.

The balm claims to relieve tension headaches, travel sickness, muscular aches and due to the antiseptic properties of it's natural ingredients it can be used to alleviate minor skin irritations such as insect bites. The balm smells minty and herbal to me although it isn't too strong - it smells heavenly! I apply the balm to my wrists and initially looks greasy on the skin but after being rubbed in it doesn't look or feel greasy.

I always have headaches, as I don't drink enough and I always have my hair tied up and this balm has been helping so much. Taking a few moments to apply and smell the balm multiple times a day helps to reduce my headaches. The scent is calming, relaxing and as it is so minty, it acts almost like Vicks as it clears the sinuses; so I think it would be great when I get a cold and on days when my hayfever is worse. The scent lasts on my skin for about two hours so I've been keeping it on my desk and next to my bed. I don't think it would be ideal for travelling as it is a heavy tub. Overall rating: ★★, 5/5.

Have you tried the Temple Balm or anything from Bodhi and Birch?

  4. I love the idea of treating a headache with something natural rather than reaching for the painkillers! I like Tiger balm so I bet this would be fab too x

  5. I really like the sound of this. I also don't drink enough and so often end up with headaches but I usually struggle finding products like this (and sleep aids) because they always appear to contain lavender, which I'm allergic to x
