Redken Color Extend Range ft. Rush Shop

Tuesday, May 05, 2015
Redken is one of my favourite higher end haircare brands, along with Moroccan Oil and Kerastase. I love the All Soft and Extreme ranges as well as the Redken Pillow Proof Express Primer (which myself and my sister LOVE) and the Redken Ringlet 07 Curl Lotion. I was kindly sent a selection of products from the Redken Color Extend Range from Rush Shop

Masks and treatments are haircare products that I will always buy over others as I think they make such a difference to my hair and they usually last for ages! So I was excited to receive the *Redken Color Extend Rich Recovery Protective Treatment (£16.55 sale, 250ml) which claims to provide stronger protection to extend colour life and leaves the hair colour vibrant and manageable. As with all masks/treatments I use, I apply them to dry hair as I find they are more effective. The treatment has that 'salon' scent that most higher end products have and it has a almost jelly-like consistency. I wash the treatment out after at least an hour or two; the mask is easy to wash out and it leaves my hair smooth and more manageable. I've only used it a few times so far therefore I cannot really comment on the colour extending claims and with products such as this it can be difficult to know if your hair colour will have faded quicker without using this product.

I also received the *Redken Color Extend Treatment Set (£12.99) which contains two 50ml bottles of the Redken Color Extend Shampoo and one bottle of the Redken Color Extend Conditioner (30ml). I think this set is a great travel set and it is a good way of trying new products without having to pay the full price. The shampoo smells similar to the treatment although it is much sweeter in my opinion - I love the scent, it's relatively unique. The shampoo lathers well as it does contain SLS but it doesn't irritate my scalp or strip my hair. The shampoo leaves my hair smooth, manageable and moisturised to an extent.

The Redken Color Extend Conditioner is equally as effective and pleasant to use as the shampoo. I do tend to use a lot of conditioner as my hair is dry and thick so the mini tube won't last long at all! It hydrates and smoothes without leaving my hair weighed down or heavy. Although I would prefer something a little bit richer and moisturising.

Overall, I'm very happy with all of the products and I love most Redken products I've tried over the years; it's a brand I would definitely recommend. The products smell great, they make my hair more manageable and smooth and I like to think they will help extend the life of my hair colour over time; although it is difficult to know if they do, in my opinion.

I was kindly given a code to share in which you will receive a free Redken Color Extend trio when you spend £25 - use code: HEATHER25. Rush Shop offers free delivery if you spend £20 and 3 for 3 on selected brands with the code: SPRING4.

Rush Shop not only sell a wide range of haircare, from organic products and SLS free shampoos to higher end brands and hair tools. They stock brands such as Moroccan Oil, GHD, Shu Uemura, Loreal, KMS and many more. As well as tanning products, mens haircare and shaving ranges, body products and cosmetics. Here's my mini Rush Shop wish list:

Have you bought anything from Rush Shop? What are your haircare faves? Have you tried any products from Redken?
