SweetsWho doesn’t like sweets? Perhaps diabetics, but even they can enjoy sugar-free treats just as much as the rest of us! But what do you get? Do you opt for a box of chocolates? They could give the wrong idea, depending on the type of chocolates you gift, so tread carefully. If you are gifting sweets to someone you don’t quite know as much as you would like in order to make an informed decision, go for something (you hope) will make them smile. Novelty sweets are a fun and meaningful present that will get you out of that hole of wondering what to buy.
OrnamentsDo you enough about the person to know that they like decorations? If so, buying quirky ornaments can be a cost-effective means of gifting the ideal present. Hopefully, you will know a little bit about the giftee helping you to choose an ideal gift. If you don’t then, if you can, try and learn a little bit about them by looking at their social media profiles (assuming you are already connected with them) and what they commonly discuss and/or like. This is often the best indication of what would be an ideal gift.
Personalised GiftsAre you able to get your hands on a picture of the person you are buying a gift for? If so, then excellent! People love quirky personalised gifts that they can show off and use, such as mugs, notepads and picture frames. If you are buying for a celebration such as a wedding, then why not look to get a picture of the happy couple and blow it up on a canvas? It’s quirky, meaningful, personalised and, if you use the right place, can come really cheap without looking cheap!
Board GamesYou didn’t think you would see this as a suggestion, did you? Board games are a fantastic means of socialising with other people, especially those you don’t know, because they serve as the ultimate ice breaker. Everyone has played some form of Monopoly at least once if their lives (there will, of course, be someone reading this who hasn’t) but there is a big wide world of board games to explore. Quiz and trivia games always make for a laugh and, no matter what the interests of you giftee are; they can have hours of fun with a Trial Pursuit-style game. They can pull it out on lazy Sunday afternoons, holidays or whenever they are at a loose end.
100 Movies Scratch PosterWho doesn’t love a good film? Everyone has their own favourite flick, so why not gift the gift combining a love for film with a challenge? A poster consisting of the title of 100 classic films with scratch pads designed to be scratched off as and when the owner has seen the film. They will be surprised when they realise just how many films they have to watch to complete the set. Just like that, you have gifted them a thoughtful and quirky gift that will keep them occupied for hours.
