Baking Soda & Hydrogen PeroxideA natural antibacterial agent, hydrogen peroxide is great for keeping both teeth and gums healthy. When combined with baking soda however, the paste removes plaque and daily grime, leaving your teeth looking fresh and white. For best results, either gargle the paste for one minute, or place it on your toothbrush and brush as you would normally. Obviously do your research beforehand!
Coconut OilIt’s amazing to think that coconut oil has any more uses than it does already, but as it turns out, the incredible oil can whiten teeth too. Coconut oil includes antimicrobial properties which can be effective in both protecting and cleaning the teeth and gums. All you have to do is take a spoonful of the oil, and gargle the substance for between five and ten minutes. Admittedly, the taste can take a bit of getting used to, but if you’re looking to whiten your teeth with as little chemical interference as possible, this is definitely the way to go.
Heather here, just to interrupt to say that oil pulling is something that I have tried numerous times and I find that it helps to keep my teeth a little whiter than usual but as stated it isn't the most pleasant process/taste; however it is a fantastic natural option that I'd definitely recommend before trying anything else.
Apple Cider VinegarBoth nicotine and caffeine are wonderfully addictive, and unfortunately they can ruin your attempts at achieving a pearly white smile. If this is an issue with you, then apple cider vinegar is most certainly your answer. Containing a mixture of acetic acid, potassium, magnesium, probiotics and enzymes, the vinegar both kills bad bacteria and promotes the growth of good, probiotic bacteria.
Professional Teeth WhiteningSometimes, you just need a good old fashioned scrub. Professional teeth whitening is safe, reliable and likely to last a long time. While chemicals are used, they’re used in a controlled way that ensures your enamel is kept intact, and your dental hygiene is protected.
Our smile can so easily define us, and so if you’re worried that yours isn’t quite as bright as you’d like it to be, why not try whitening themt? At the end of the day, first impressions are everything!
