*Summer Beauty Trends

Beauty and hair trends for summer aren't always a favourite of mine as they are usually the same every year and my personal style and trends definitely suit autumn much more than summer; however there are some gorgeous trends on the runway for summer 2017.

Also most of the trends for summer are not very wearable for me with coral eyeshadow, wet hair and bright liner which isn't what I'd typically wear; however there are some gorgeous trends this summer from Giambattista Valli, Viktor & Rolf and Christian Dior especially!

Red Lips & Minimal Base

There are some trends that come back all of the time for a reason, they are gorgeous and you can't get any more of a beautiful combination than a red lip and a clean, simple base. As it's been gloriously sunny here in Manchester recently, I've had a set my makeup every day but still keeping it fresh and light. I don't use red lip products that often but when I do, I usually opt for a easy and fuss free options such as tinted lip balms as they are so easy to maintain and are perfect for my perpetually dry lips.

Sleek Mermaid-Like Waves 

My hair is naturally wavy but it's also naturally frizzy so I'm in a  constant struggle to maintain the waves or make them more defined and to reduce the halo of frizz I have. I love this style, I think it's so gorgeous and perfect for summer. I'm going to try and re-create this hairstyle from Viktor & Rolf with my ghd Ruby Styler.

Star Details

I love stars, I have a star tattoo on my wrist so when I saw this gorgeous look via Christian Dior, I knew I'd love it. I know it's not very wearable...but it's so pretty and I think if done minimally then it would be perfect for a summer festival look!

I also love the trends of dewy skin and glossy lips as they not only suit my dry skin but they are quick and easy trends to follow as well. Ellisons have created a 'experts in beauty' e-book which features current summer trends as well as a useful beauty Q&Q.
