Review: Nourish Toning Body Shimmer

Monday, July 28, 2014

If there is a time to embrace your inner golden goddess then summer is it! I have always been very pale, I don't tan so I haven't ever really looked into tanning or body shimmer as I didn't think it could work for me. However, I was sent a body shimmer from the brand Nourish and I have been road testing it...and loving it!
I have the *Nourish Golden Glow Toning Body Shimmer (100ml, £25). Nourish is a cruelty free brand and their products contain organic ingredients - for example, this body shimmer is comprised of 77% organic ingredients which is fantastic. Some of the natural ingredients in the body shimmer include: argan kernel oil, aloe vera leaf juice powder, neroli flower oil, shea butter and more!

The body shimmer is a yellow golden lotion when dispensed (the bottle has a pump dispenser which is amazing). The shimmer is fine and not that noticeable on the skin unless you look very closely - as the photo on the far right shows. The lotion applies smoothly and evenly and creates the most gorgeous, subtle glow to the skin that doesn't look too noticeable or glittery. I have been using it on my dĂ©colletĂ© and legs arms for a summer glow and I am probably going to take this product on holiday with me next month and mix it with my normal body lotion for an all over glow. I find it doesn't rub off on clothing, however I haven't tried it with black clothes yet.

The best thing about this body shimmer is that it contains a nutrient rich phyto-active marine extract which tones and firms the skin - I haven't been using it long enough to notice firming effects but it sounds amazing. It also contains hyaluronic acid which is fantastic if you have dry skin as it locks in moisture.

Overall, I adore the packaging and all of the natural, organic ingredients as well as the brand's ethos with regard to vegan and cruelly free products. The shimmer in this lotion is subtle and gorgeous and the possible toning/firming effects sound amazing. I will have to rate this product: ★★★★★, 5/5!
