Debenhams Winter Style Challenge

Tuesday, January 07, 2014
I was recently contacted about this amazing Debenhams competition in which you could win £500 to spend at Debenhams and there are also two runners up prizes of £50. To enter all you have to do is create two outfits using items from the Debenhams website, one is a 'winter warmer' outfit and the second is a 'party look'. The items for each outfit cannot exceed £250. The closing date is 13th January.   Create your blog post and share it on your social media platforms - twitter, facebook, pinterest etc or on Debenhams blog. For more information, click here. Here are my outfits!

1. Oasis Faux Leather and Melton Biker Coat (£95): I love this coat, it looks so effortless and chic. Black, structured coats are a staple in my winter wardrobe.

2. Yumi Aztec Print Fluffy Jumper (£29.40, sale): Fluffy knits are so popular right now and this one is gorgeous! It looks so warm and cosy.

3. Rocha John Rocha Black Leather Fleece Lined Gloves (£24, sale): My grandma had a pair of fleece lined gloves and they were so warm, a essential item in the winter months.

4. Oasis Jacquard Skinny Supersoft Jeans (£45): I practically live in jeans (or pyjamas) during the winter. They are quick and easy to throw on and they go with everything!

5. Betty Jackson.Black Designer Chelsea High Ankle Boots (£52.50, sale): I adore boots generally but ankle boots especially. Ankle boots and skinny black jeans are the essence of cool and laid back style in my opinion.

1. Wallis Black Petite Military Coat (£65): If you haven't already guessed, I love structured clothing and accessories and I also love subtle military style items too. This coat embodies all of that - love it!

2. Phase Eight Gold Rhonda Sequin Skirt (£35, sale): Oh mama! That is what I call a skirt! Now an 'in your face' sequin gold skirt is definitely not my normal style but I instantly fell in love with this one.

3. Butterfly By Matthew Williamson Designer Gold Weave Clutch Bag (£19.50): I thought this clutch would tie in the bronzy gold/black theme of this opulent outfit.

4. Red Herring Black Swing Vest (£4.20, sale): A basic swing vest to complement the skinny pencil skirt and it will go with so many other outfits.

5. Martine Wester Gold Crystal Stud Earrings (£17.60, sale): Well you might as well add more sparkle, that is what party wear is for! I love the golden/black colour theme.

6. Miss KG Garber Black High Heel Slingbacks (£39, sale): Every girl has to have a pair of gorgeous black heels, these are divine and such an amazing sale price.

There are my two outfits for the Debenhams style challenge/competition - have you entered? x

- OOTD: Sale Shopping -

Sunday, December 29, 2013
I went to Manchester shopping today, I usually don't brave the sales this close to new year as it is usually incredibly busy with sale shoppers - especially as Manchester town centre has soooo many shops! Today was rather quiet at first though and I bought a few things from Primark (gotta love Primark, so many items were on sale too!). I received a couple of comments for more outfit of the day posts so here is my sale shopping OOTD.
Photos taken using my iPad mini
My jacket is from Forever21 and it is a couple of years old, I rarely wear it but I have been loving it recently. It has military style buttons and an incredibly soft faux fur collar. I think I got it in the sale for around £17 at the time. My deep burgundy thin jumper is from H&M, I love it - I have it in a few other colours, they may still be online. Jeans are plain black petite skinnys from Asos a while ago. Finally my boots, they are a recently Asos sale buy (I posted a pic on Instagram of them) and they were reduced from £50 to £25 - I freakin' love them! I'm calling them my 'Noel Fielding boots' as they look like ones he wears (If you don't know who noel fielding is, shame on you - you need to check out The Mighty Boosh tv show). I might have to get another pair as a back up as I have tiny UK size 1/2 feet so it is difficult for me to find shoes/boots.

As for my hair and makeup - I just used the Bumble and Bumble thickening creme contour in my hair (no styling tools needed, it is my bed hair). Nails = Loreal Riche 402. And for perfume I have been loving Burberry Body.

There is my OOTD, what do you think? Also would you like to see more outfit posts? x

Recent Sale Buys: Clothing # 1

Friday, July 05, 2013
Here is one of my recent sale buys from Zara. The sales recently have been fantastic, especially H&M, Zara, Urban Outfitters and Topshop, although most things are already sold out on Topshop!
Zara Star Print Blouse (£19.99, sale): I saw this blouse a while ago on the Zara website and I featured it in one of my wish list posts a while ago and I loved it - then when I saw it on the zara sale for £19.99, I bought it immediately - well, along with four pairs of shoes...oops. I love the blouse, it fits well and it has a cute mini black star print. The blouse is lightweight and sheer so I have to put a white cami underneath it but it is still cute and I wear it tucked into jeans as it is a bit too long on me. I am definitley taking this on holiday with me to northern europe in august. I can't find this on the zara website (UK) anymore but you may find it in stores.

I am also wearing my trusty Dorothy perkins skinny petite jeans (£15 or two pairs for £25) and my Newlook black/cork wedges.
