Twig + Dot Christmas Candles
As we all know, I love candles! They make a room so incredibly cosy, homely and inviting, particularly at this time of the year when it is getting chilly and it starts to become dark very early. I've tried quite a few candle brands so I was excited to try a couple of candles from a brand I have wanted to try for a while - Twig + Dot. Twig and Dot have launched their christmas range and all of the candle scents sound so gorgeous. I was very kindly sent two, including one of their larger 230g candles and the small 45g voltive candle as I am lucky enough to be part of their 12 bloggers of christmas countdown!

*Twig + Dot Merry Kissmas Votive Jar Candle (£3):

Cranberry, Pomegranate & Mistletoe. Welcome the season with a merry blend of sweet cranberry, pomegranate & mistletoe. Tart & Inviting. Perfect for those looking for a fruity seasonal scent.

In my experience, small or votive candles usually come in plastic wrapping as Yankee Candle samplers do or cheap plastic containers but this jar is glass and it just feels so much more expensive even though it isn't. The packaging is gorgeous, although as a blogger it is a nightmare to photograph - I had to re-take the photos more than I have for any other items so it doesn't photograph well or at least in my case it doesn't (#BloggerProblems). The candle burns evenly and to the sides as it is a small candle so there is no waste. To me it smells very fruity and woody but in a crisp, winter walk kind of way, if that makes sense! However, the scent is quite subtle which is a shame as the scent is so festive and lovely. Overall rating: ★★★★☆ 4/5.

*Twig + Dot Santa Baby Large Candle (£16):

Black Cherry, Frankincense & Patchouli. Black cherry combines with frankincense, myrrh, cedar & patchouli to create our sexiest seasonal scent yet. Warm & Woody.

Patchouli and woody notes are some of my favourites so I was excited to receive this candle, although there are so many others that I would love such as the Pumpkin Pie, Sugar and Spice and Cinder and Smoke. The large candles burn for approximately 30 to 40 hours, while the votive candles burn time for approximately 5 to 8 hours. The scent in the jar reminds me of cherry menthol sweets with crisp, snowy woody notes; it's a gorgeous and refreshing combination and one that I wouldn't have chosen for myself as I do prefer more baking and warm scents. The candle scent is very pleasant and festive, it's fruity and musky but fresh and minty too. It burns well and evenly which is fantastic and I think it will last for ages! Overall rating: ★★★★☆ 4/5.

Overall, I am definitely impressed with the candles, I love both scent even though they aren't really want I would have chosen but it is a nice change. The packaging is cute and I love the glass jar for the votive candle although they were a bit frustrating to photograph but this isn't really a problem unless your a blogger! I'm definitely interested in trying more from the brand!

Partylite Autumn/Christmas 2015 + Giveaway
If there's one thing that I love about the colder months, it's all of the candles that I get to use and all of the christmasy and wintery scents! Candles make a room feel so warm, cosy and homely to me and christmasy scents get me even more excited for the big day (probably far too excited than I should be...in November although it is christmas next month *squeals*).

I was very kindly sent a range of products from the new Autumn/Christmas 2015 range from PartyLite; also the lovely and very generous people at PartyLite are giving one lucky winner the chance to win all of the products I feature in this post which is such an amazing prize worth over £100!

First up, the cutest products from the range, the *Endearing Tea Light Holder Pair (£36, Champagne Edition) which are the most adorable and festive tea light holders ever! I love the minimalist gold reindeer design which makes it looks festive but it isn't gaudy or over the top as most christmas products are. The reindeer tea light holders are so cute together and they are quite weighty too, so I think they would make lovely gifts - I know my aunties and friends would love them!

Next up, I have the *Snowflakes Tea Light Trio (£19.95) which are festive tea light holders that have snowflakes printed on them that again are quite minimalist and not gaudy. They are all so pretty when there is a tea light burning, especially the silver and gold tea light holders.
Partylite Autumn/Christmas 2015 + Giveaway
Now onto the candles, the *ReminiScent Scented Mini Jar Candle Trio (£24.95) contains the following scents: Emerald Balsam (green), Crimson Berry (red) and Iced Snowberries (white). As with the tea light holders, this set has the same pretty snowflake print. To me the Emerald Balsam scent is woody and musky but it isn't too strong and the Crimson Berry scent is sweet, fruity and musky. Lastly, the Iced Snowberries scent which is my favourite scent of the three as it is fruity and sweet but quite fresh and crisp. I also have the *Universal Tea Light Set in Iced Snowberries too - the tea light scent is subtle so if you like the sound of this fragrance then maybe opt for a larger candle. For full descriptions of the scents check out the Partylite Autumn/Christmas 2015 online catalogue

Last but not least, the *Bayberry Scented Candle (£25.50) which is a whopping 453g - yes, it's huge and definitely one of the largest candles I've ever had. As with all of the other products, it came well packaged and the box itself is pretty too so it would make a gorgeous gift for any candle lover. The candle has two wicks as it is pretty massive and it smells very woody, earthy, natural and musky but it also has a fresh scent to it so it isn't cloying or overpowering. The scent makes me think of crisp autumn/winter walks in a snowy forest! Even though this candle is a little pricey, it is huge so it will last a long time and you can re-use the candle container afterwards too - I think I will re-use mine as a makeup brush holder.

Now for the giveaway! It is UK only and it ends on the 14th November. The winner will receive everything I have featured in this post including all of the candles and candle holders which will obviously be brand new. To enter just fill out the rafflecopter form below, good luck!

Petits Rituals Candle + Wax Melts
Petits Rituals Candle + Wax Melts
As the evenings become darker, the leaves are falling from the trees and winter is approaching, all I want to do is have a bubbly bath and snuggle up with a book and have a candle burning! Candles, to me, instantly make a room feel so much more cosy, homely and inviting, especially at this time of the year. So I couldn't wait to use these lovely smelling products from Petits Rituals.

I chose the *Petits Rituals 'by the fire' Candle (£35, 200g) which is an infusion of cinnamon, clove, orange and lemongrass, basically christmas in a candle! The candle contains soya wax and beeswax and it has an approximate burn time of 40 hours. The packaging is just gorgeous, so intricate and colourful and it is quite weighty too so it would make a lovely aesthetically gorgeous gift.

The candle is quite large and it only has one wick which did concern me at first as it could lead to the dreaded tunnelling and wasted wax at the edges of the candle. Tunnelling did happen but it was my fault as I couldn't leave it for as long as it needed to before extinguishing the candle but I think if you look after it then you won't get any product waste as I did.

The scent is heavenly and so perfect for this time of the year as it is spicy, warming and christmasy to me - it is such a welcome sight and smell on a cold, rainy autumn day. The scent throw is very good as it fills most of the top floor of the house but it isn't headache inducing or overpowering at all. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

I also received the *Petits Rituals Orange Gourmande Wax Melts (£10 for two wax melts). The melts are shaped like flowers which is such a pretty detail and they come in a cute handmade drawstring bag so they would instantly make lovely presents. The scent, to me, is a mixture of strong orange flavours and floral notes as well as orange boiled sweets - I love it! It's fruity but not in a cloying or sickly sweet way as it is fresh, sharp and authentic. The wax melt is used in a tea light warmer; it melts quickly and I can start to smell the gorgeous fresh orange scent after about ten minutes. The melts are supposed to last for about ten hours and I can definitely see myself getting more of these! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Overall, I think the packaging design is just gorgeous so it would make a lovely and welcome christmas gift. The candle scent is christmassy and perfect for this time of the year; however my favourite product has to be the wax melts as they smell amazing and are so easy to use.
