Anxiety + Relaxation Helpers

Do Something
Supplements or CBDCBD claims to help many issues and have various benefits such as helping with overall wellbeing, sleep problems, anxiety and stress, the latter three I've definitely been struggling with recently. I have been sent this CBD oil and trying the *Natural Works 10% CBD Oil (£40) on and off for the past couple of weeks (always do your own research before taking any kind of supplement and if you are unsure, ask your doctor before taking anything). Their CBD oil is vegan friendly, 100% natural and is derived from organic Swiss grown hemp. Thankfully the oil doesn't have any flavour which is something I prefer for supplements and I haven't noticed any negative effects.

Home Meal DeliveryThink about the amount of time that the average person spends shopping for groceries, preparing meals, and looking up recipes. The process never ends. And it’s a massive drain on their time, especially if they don’t enjoy it. But what if there was a solution? What if there was another way to get good food into your body without all the usual hassle? Well, it turns out that there is, and it’s called the home meal delivery kit. The way it works is simple. *How To Choose The Right Jewellery For A Partner
![]() |

Christmas is coming up and one of the best things about Christmas (besides the love and magic) is the art of gift-giving. For some people, shopping is done months in advance and they are wrapped and ready in the closet to go under the tree by November. For others, last minute shopping is the art here!
One of the loveliest gifts that you can give another person is jewellery. Everyone appreciates a little sparkle under the tree. Learning the history of Tiffany & Co before you get shopping is a nice way to give the jewellery a little back story when you hand it over, too. So, here is how you can choose the right jewellery for a partner.
- Don't start with buying what you want - buy what they want. Get to know the type of jewels your partner would prefer. If they don't wear earrings, then don't buy them as it's likely you could buy earrings for someone who hasn't ever had their ears pierced. Perfection is subjective, so getting something you know THEY would love over what you would love is important.
- Look. Ask. Notice. If you don't know what sort of jewellery would be good for your partner, then you need to start looking at them more and noticing what they do and don't wear. Body language makes up a big piece of the way that we communicate with our partners, and so go by the jewellery store and take notice about where their eyes light up. This level of attention is going to be appreciated!
- Choose a piece of jewellery that'll mean something. Is your partner particular about birth stone jewellery? Choose a ring or a necklace with their birthstone. If you choose your jewellery to be what you know they will enjoy, you're going to have given a gift that matters.
- Can't analyse? Look at their current jewellery stash! Go through their bureau or desk and see what they like to wear regularly. Then check out their clothes and look at the colours that they use the most. Visualise them in the jewellery you've got in mind and if it suits them, go for it. Jewellery is never going to be a disappointing gift, especially if your budget allows you to buy in Tiffanys!
- Sometimes, going shopping with their closest friend could be the answer to your problem. Take their best friend shopping and ask them to help you choose. Don't make them pick the gift, but get their input. If you don't have the time, ask their bestie to figure out what jewellery your partner likes on the down low!
- No matter what happens, you're about to give your partner an absolutely beautiful gift. You can ensure that you choose something pretty, sparkly and convenient. Try to stay away from giant jewellery pieces if you know she's not into that. Sometimes, the smaller jewels are the better option.

My CBD Experience with Luna + Leaf

CBD seems to have been the 'it' health and beauty ingredient of the year and it is easy to see why as it has rather fantastic claims and properties. I've reviewed CBD coffee on my blog previously and I've tried a couple of skincare products that include CBD as an active ingredients (both of which I loved) but I have never tried a CBD oil or supplement, until now.
*Luna & Leaf 30% CBD Oil (£118)I have been interested in the claims surrounding CBD and it's effectiveness in terms of anxiety as well as sleep issues, both of which I have been trying to manage for years. I was very excited to try the Luna and Leaf CBD oil which was very kindly sent to me along with a journal, heavenly scented lavender bath bombs and an eye mask.

Tips
- Plan Ahead: Along with learning new skills and having the basics, planning ahead before any career switch is important; including when you want to make the change, finances, a potential list of clients and project or article ideas, to name a few. Create a spreadsheet, write lists, brainstorm ideas - I personally find that writing down ideas and lists is key to staying organised and productive while working from home.
- Make A Career Out Of Your Hobbies: Starting a new business or freelance career can be daunting so why not look into ways of making your hobby into a career or additional project; whether it's crafting, calligraphy, photography or poetry. Find a passion, learn new skills to help promote and sell your work or ideas and have a little patience.
- Patience: When I started my blog and freelance career I never thought I'd earn any money from it but with time, dedication and patience, the blog opportunities and work started to appear. I think there's a misconception about bloggers or freelance writers, that it is an easy job but getting to the stage of working with brands/PRs consistently and having a set rate, is difficult!
- Network and Promote: Self promotion can feel a little awkward and it's something I've experienced and had to try and overcome as a blogger and freelance writer. Creating social media accounts, a blog and a media kit or freelance portfolio of your work and sharing with potential clients can be a great way of drawing interest and work. Don't be shy to promote your hard work or ask for your worth.
- Gain Relevant Experience or Skills: Online learning courses, an internship or part time job in the area you want to freelance in might be a good opportunity to gain the new skills and experience you'll need. Skills such as being able to use photoshop, proofreading and writing can all be improved with online courses, time and practice.
- Taxes: There are many aspects of freelancing and blogging that aren't as glamorous as events and PR mail - those aspects include taxes. The self assessment tax form is something I dread to fill out each year and that is solely because it can be quite (ermmm...very) confusing but if you earn any money from blogging or freelancing (even if it is a tiny amount over the year), you need to let the government know.
