The Beauty Blogger Tag
Wednesday, September 04, 2013
Here are my answers to the 'beauty blogger tag', I don't think it is that well known but I thought that it would be fun to do and it makes a nice change. I was tagged by Emily at Ahem, its Emily to do this tag.
1. Name a beauty routine you barely do.
Tanning or using gradual tan - I am a bit of a stranger to tanning although I am trying to get into it.
2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
I try and wash my makeup brushes every two weeks, although I do forget and sometimes my brushes do not get washed for about three weeks. I washed my makeup brushes yesterday and it is a little time consuming if you wash them thoroughly but it needs to be done.
3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
I can last for a while with chipped nail polish if I am at home for the week but if I am going out shopping, visiting people or at uni/events then I will have to reapply my nail polish once it is chipped slightly.
4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty product even if you need it (i.e., top coat, foundation and so on)?
I do stock up on certain products, especially bath/body products but when something does run out and I want it, it usually depends on the price. If it is cheap then I will buy it in the next few days but if it is a bit pricey like the Caudalie Beauty Elixir then it can take a few weeks for me to buy it again.
5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Not applying face and hair masks regularly. My skin is a bit temperamental and sensitive so I try not to use too many products but I do neglect hair and face masks.
6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time.
Putting new clothes away.
7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready until the last minute or not?
I try to be ready an hour or so before but knowing me I will be rushing at the last minute doing final checks.
8. Can you commit to spending bans?
NO! I am not good at not spending....I love shopping, it makes me happy. Although obviously I only buy things I need or really want. I do cut down my spending at certain times but I don't like the idea of a spending ban at all!
9. How organised is your makeup and nail polish collections?
My makeup and nail polish is really quite organised I think. I use the Muji two drawer acrylic storage for all of my makeup which keeps everything neat - I am going to create a blog post soon on my Muji makeup storage because in my opinion it is the best storage for makeup.
10. What is the longest time you've gone without writing a blog post?
Maybe one week at the most but I usually try to publish three or more blog posts per week but it just depends on reviewing times, deliveries and personal things.

Review: Caudalie Beauty Elixir
Wednesday, June 26, 2013
I put off buying this product for such a long time but I did eventually buy it and...I LOVE it! I used this up fully a couple of weeks ago and I am going to put it in a empties blog post but this product is so good it had to have a post dedicated to it.
Refreshing water spray: I took this product on holiday with me last year and it was really useful. We went on a cruise holiday with Royal Caribbean and we went to Italy, Corsica, Sardinia and Spain - so it was quite hot. This product came in so useful on holiday, it has an instant cooling effect on the skin which lasts for a while which was great. It is great for refreshing the skin!
Toner: I also use it as a toner, but sparingly, as it is fairly expensive. I spray it onto a cotton pad and then sweep it over the face and neck. It again has an instant cooling effect and the skin just feels clean and refreshed but not dry or irritated which is fantastic!
Makeup setting spray: This product works really well as a makeup setting spray - it refreshed old makeup and it is great as a final setting spray to stop makeup looking caky or powdery. It also makes the skin glowing and radiant - I don't know how it makes my skin look so radiant (but not shiny or oily) - it is amazing!
