Autumn Essentials

Autumn Essentials
Autumn is my favourite season, not just because I can stop trying to lose weight as under my coat and jumpers it doesn't matter anyway and I adore autumnal days as they're chilly and cozy! I love coming in from the cold, putting on my comfiest clothes, cozy socks and reading a good book. Here are some of my autumn essentials:

*Heat Holders Snuggle Ups Luxury Fleece Blanket (£23.99, Hot Chocolate)
Blankets are an essential on our house, everyone has one, it's like being in a nursing home! I have a couple that my auntie has made for me which I love but massive and super cozy blankets are essentials for this time of the year. The Heat Holders blanket is 180cm by 200cm, it has a 1.4 tog rating and it's the softest blanket ever!

*Heat Holders Ladies Socks (£7.99, Dark Lavender)
Since I was a child I've always been told that these cozy socks were called bed socks...The socks are so cozy and soft; they are perfect for around the house or with high boots. They have grippy pads on the soles so there's no chance of embarrassing slips (they remind me of the socks I had as a child but they had Eeyore on them).

*Flame Homeware 'Fireside Snooze' Candle (£6.99)
Candles are such an important home decor and home fragrance essential for me as they not only make any room look cozy but they also release gorgeous autumnal and wintery scents. I burn candles all year but the majority during the colder months. I love this scent from Gift Company which is musky, rich and perfect for autumn.

*Molton Brown Ylang Ylang Hand Cream
The Molton Brown Ylang Ylang range is one of my favourites as it's such a gorgeous, musky and floral scent that I cannot get enough of. I have eczema on my hands so they are perpetually dry but especially at this time of the year. The cream keeps my hands smooth and comfortable for most of the day and it smells incredible.

*NutriBalm Balm in Relax Me & Energise Me
Lip balms and cuticle balms are also essentials for me! These little balms are handmade in Yorkshire, suitable for vegans and vegetarians and they contain 100% pure natural active ingredients such as cocoa butter, sunflower oil, argan oil, rosehip seed oil and more. The 'relax me' balm is my favourite of the two mainly as it smells like lavender and that's one of my favourite scents ever! The 'energise me' balm works just as well and has a musky, almost spicy scent.

*English Fairytales (Pan Macmillan), The Canterville Ghost (Alma Books) &  Crane Pond (Europa Editions)
Last year I could count the number of books I read on one hand but now I'm onto my 64th book of 2016 which I'm SO happy about. Reading has very quickly become an entertaining, relaxing and anxiety relieving hobby and it's even more relaxing under a cozy blanket with candles burning. One of my favourite books of 2016 is Crane Pond by Richard Francis as well as the gorgeous Pan Macmillan English Fairytales edition. Alma Books also have some beautiful and affordable editions too.

Autumn Pampering Essentials ft. Sukin

Autumn Pampering Essentials ft. Sukin
Pampering is such an important process, not just for the body but the mind too! Pampering, even if it's just a hair mask or a bath bomb, makes me feel so much more relaxed, refreshed and pampered. I think pampering is even more important when the autumn and winter months come around as my skin is usually much drier and dull; that's where Sukin comes in! I've tried a few products from Sukin and I've been really impressed so when this lovely package arrived, I couldn't wait to start the pampering.

*Sukin Renewing Body Scrub (£12.99, 200ml)
I love body scrubs, I use them once a week as a pamper product and this scrub is perfect as a regular body scrub. It contains green tea, vitamin E, rose hip oil and more so obviously it smells amazing. I usually do prefer very abrasive scrubs but when I'm using a scrub often I don't want it to be too harsh so this body scrub is great - it is exfoliating but it is also nourishing, smoothing and moisturising to an extent. I always use scrubs before shaving as it makes the process so much smoother and easier. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*Sukin Super Greens Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser (£9.99, 125ml)
My skin is dry all year round but especially during autumn and winter months so a rich moisturiser is very important to keep my skin smooth, soft and moisturised as well as comfortable. Sukin products don't irritate my skin which is fantastic as it can be difficult to find products that don't annoy my temperamental skin. The moisturiser comes in a pump bottle *I wish all moisturiser came this way*, it doesn't really have a scent so it would be great to try if you have dry and sensitive skin and it leaves my skin incredibly smooth, soft and moisturised enough even for cold autumn days! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*Sukin Hydrating Facial Masque (£10.15, 100ml)
I have to be honest and admit that when it comes to my hair, I do tend to forget to look after it as well as I look after my skin; hair masks are a super quick and easy pampering option. The mask contains mango seed butter, avocado oil, pineapple extract and many more amazing and natural ingredients; as with all Sukin products there are no nasty ingredients. I use masks on dry hair for 10-30 minutes before a shower as I find they always work better that way. It leaves my hair smooth, tangle free and moisturised which is what my coloured hair definitely needs right now. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Have you tried anything from Sukin? What pamper products do you love?

Hygge Inspired Cozy Autumn Wish List
Today is the first day of Autumn and I'm beyond excited about that! I love everything about autumn, from the chilly crisp mornings and hot chocolate to candles, halloween and all of the cozy autumnal clothing! I work from home so I'm always looking out for more comfy, cozy clothing and autumn is the perfect season for coziness AKA. hygge.

I found all of these gorgeous items via LoveTheSales which is a fantastic site where you can search for specific items and it will show you the results from a wide range of stores so you don't have to search all of the stores individually. You can also add filters to the search so you can just find items in your size, preferred colour, price range etc which is amazing and such a time saver. It mainly focuses on clothing but it has a section for sport, the home and more.

Yumi Open Back Jumper  -  Zalando Cosabella Triangle Bra  -  Eberjey Pyjama Bottoms  -  Ugg Slippers  (Ugg Sale) -  Miss Selfridge Knitted Jumper  -  Asos Petite Oversized Shirt

There's my autumnal, hygge inspired wish list, I will probably end up buying some of these times by the end of the day...oops. I love the shirt especially and the triangle bra! Also you should definitely check out LoveTheSales, it's a fantastic site!

What do you think of my wish list? Any hygge/cozy items on your autumn wish list? Have you checked out LoveTheSales?

OOTD: Target Dry Kendal Waterproof Jacket

Hollingworth Lake OOTD Ft. Target Dry
Autumn is in touching distance and I for one cannot wait! Autumn is my favourite season and I love everything that comes with it, from chunky jumpers, crisp honey coloured leaves, darker evenings and of course gingerbread lattes. I also love autumn for layering clothing, cosy coats, snuggly snoods and boots which is my idea of fashion heaven. Certain shades, to me, are so autumnal such as rust, olive green, navy, reds and darker raspberry shades so when the lovely people at Target Dry asked if I wanted to try one of their items, I had to choose the gorgeous *Target Dry Kendal Womens Natural Cotton Waterproof Jacket (£94.50, in Rumba)
Hollingworth Lake OOTD Ft. Target Dry
Top: Forever21  -  Jeans: Topshop  -  Boots & Bag: Newlook
I love the colour of the jacket, it's gorgeous and it is quite an autumnal shade to me. The floral lining isn't something I usually go for but I quite like it with this jacket. There are two massive pockets which is great as well as a detachable hood, double zip, adjustable waist tabs, a zip on the sleeves and a zipped internal pocket which is such a useful detail.

I have a size 8 and in jackets/coats I am usually an 8 or 10 depending on the brand. The jacket length is fantastic even though I am petite, it fits well overall but the sleeves are a little long on me. The jacket is comfortable, easy to pair with so many outfits and it does come with a cute hood with toggles details - when we took these photos, it was a gorgeous clear day with no rain which is very strange in England as it is usually pouring down especially when you want to go somewhere.

Hollingworth Lake OOTD Ft. Target Dry
We went to Hollingworth Lake in Smithy Bridge which isn't far from Manchester and it is such a picturesque place for a walk, rowing or horse riding...or taking blog photos! We've been visiting and camping here since I was a child so it was nice to walk around again although it was a little busy when we went just over a week ago as there was a rowing competition or race on. If you live near by or are planning a visit to the North West then definitely head to Hollinworth Lake.

Overall, I love the jacket, it is comfortable, very practical and waterproof but even so it isn't a typical waterproof jacket as most tend to be quite unflattering, unstructured and pretty ugly, if I'm honest. I am happy with the fit, style and the quality is fantastic! I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of it in the next few months (well, who am I kidding, it's England so I will need it all year round!). They have numerous styles and shades to choose from for men, women and children. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5!
