Thea Skincare Oriental InSPArations Range

I've tried a few products from Thea Skincare and I've been happy with all of them so when the opportunity arose to try some of their products from the new oriental range, I jumped at the chance. Thea products contain natural, organic ingredients and are free from parabens, fragrance, sulphates and they are not tested on animals. Check out my review of Thea Skincare Fruit Enzyme Range and the Thea Skincare Super Nourish Beauty Butter - the beauty butter is by far my favourite product from Thea Skincare. 

*Thea Skincare Oriental InSPArations Body Lotion (15ml) which to me smells like ginger and lemongrass. It is a nice change when compared to the vanilla and floral body lotions I have. The lotion feels nourishing and thick but it isn't heavy or greasy; it really helps with dryness and it doesn't irritate my skin. The lotion leaves my skin so smooth and moisturised!

*Thea Skincare Oriental InSPArations Coconut + Lemongrass Body Balm (15ml) again it has a similar scent to the first body lotion but the scent isn't as strong. The balm looks like solid coconut oil. It feels like solid coconut oil too and when applied to the skin is it very oily/greasy so I would not use it all over the body but I've been using it on my feet and it instantly removes the look and feel of dryness. A little goes a long way so you need to be careful with it but it is great for the feet. 

*Thea Skincare Oriental InSPArations Body, Hand & Foot Bamboo Exfoliator. It looks and feels like a whipped body cream but it contains sugar like grains. It does exfoliate but I personally would like a body exfoliator that is more grainy/gritty. The scent of this product is just incredible, it smells exactly like a Starbucks gingerbread latte with whipped cream - yes, amazing! It would be perfect at christmas. 

*Thea Skincare Fruit & Spice Hand Wash, it smell quite different to the other products in this range. To me it smells like fruit pastels mixed with general mulled wine spices - it's a lovely combination and again it would be great to use around christmas time. The hand wash has a gel consistency, it lathers fairly well and it doesn't dry out my skin. 

*Thea Skincare Oriental InSPArations Hair & Body Wash; I used it as a hand wash not as a shampoo and I don't think it would be great as a shampoo because it doesn't lather very well. The product has a gel consistency, it smells like lemongrass/ginger and it also doesn't dry out my skin. The scent does last on my skin for a while. 

*Thea Skincare Oriental InSPArations Body Glow Oil, which smells like lemongrass and ginger. It is a little bit of a greasy oil and I personally find that it doesn't absorb very quickly so I have been either applying a small amount at night on my feet/hands then I will put on my cotton socks/gloves so the oil doesn't transfer everywhere. I have also been applying it to massage into the skin (hands/legs etc) then washing it off so it adds some hydration but there isn't any greasy feeling. 

Overall, a little bit of a mixed bag of products and in my opinion the range is quite christmasy/wintery smelling rather than a summer collection. However, I really like the exfoliator, body balm and the body lotion!

Review: Thea Super Nourish Beauty Butter

If you have following for the past couple of months you will have noticed this brand already, as I have reviewed a few samples of skincare from this brand which I really liked, here.  Thea is an award winning natural skincare brand. The products contain natural and organic ingredients, they are cruelty free and free from parabens! Ps. sorry for the photo of my eczema, I know it looks awful, although that is a fairly good day for my body eczema!

I have the *Thea Super Nourish Beauty Butter Hand & Body Creme (£24.95, 200ml) which contains among other ingredients, aloe leaf juice, carrot seed oil, organic shea butter, avocado oil and cocoa butter! My only negative point about Thea Skincare is that the packaging could be improved, I feel like it is a little simple and outdated. However the products themselves are fantastic, in my opinion. 

The hand and body creme is very thick but it has a smooth texture so it applied quickly and easily to the skin. I have been using it mainly as a hand cream as my hands become very dry anyway but during the colder months combined with central heating, it can really dry out my skin. Also I have a very large patch of eczema on my left hand which almost looks like a burn which can be extremely dry and it can burn/string often. This hand cream doesn't irritate my eczema at all which is fantastic, it also alleviates dryness, tightness and flakiness (gross, sorry!) almost instantly. 

The hand cream doesn't take very long to absorb, although it isn't the fastest absorbing hand cream (that would either be the Kiehls hand salve or the Rodial super food hand cream). The cream leaves my hand feeling soft, smooth, moisturised and nourished which is just what I need at this time of the year! 

Overall, this is another product from Thea Skincare that I am very happy with - it just works effectively and doesn't irritate my eczema. I have also used it on my nails/cuticles and elbows and again it works very well. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Review: Thea Skincare Fruit Enzyme Range

I was kindly sent three samples of the Thea Skincare Skin Brightening Face Renew Fruit Enzyme Range to try which is one of the popular ranges for skin brightening that treats blemishes. I hadn't tried Thea Skincare until I received these samples. Thea Skincare products are natural, organic and they do not contain parabens, sulphates or fragrance which could cause irritation. They are also cruelty free, suitable for vegans and pH balanced. 

I received three 15ml pots to try which include the Face Renew Fruit Enzyme Cleanser, Face Renew Fruit Enzyme Exfoliator and the Face Renew Fruit Enzyme Moisturiser. This range contains natural AHA's as well as mango and shea butters! 

*Face Renew Fruit Enzyme Cleanser (£21.95, full size): I have been using this cleanser for about two weeks on and off, it has been a very busy and stressful couple of weeks for me so my skincare routine has been derailed slightly. The cleanser feels smooth and creamy, it doesn't irritate my skin at all while using or afterwards. I feel as though it cleanses my skin without stripping it. The cleanser to me feels and works like a cream version of the REN Hydracalm cleansing gel which I adore! I don't have anything negative really to say about this product apart from the samples pots are not attractive or entirely practical. Overall rating: ★★★★, 4/5. 

*Face Renew Fruit Enzyme Exfoliator (£24.95, full size): I am a little cautious when it comes to new exfoliators as they can irritate my sensitive skin sometimes however this product is very gentle on the skin. The exfoliator bits are gentle although they do exfoliate mildly. As with the cleanser this product does not irritate my skin, I haven't experience any negative effects with this range of samples. The exfoliator, and the cleanser, left my skin smooth, soft and clean. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*Face Renew Fruit Enzyme Moisturiser (£8.95, 15ml trial size): I have tried so many moisturisers, I have a skincare drawer and at least one third of the products in it are moisturisers (and I have just had a sort out!) so when it comes to moisturising products I know what I want. This moisturiser ticks quite a lot of boxes for me, it doesn't irritate my skin, it isn't greasy or oily, it contains good natural ingredients and it works effectively for my skin at this time of the year. Although during the colder winter months it will not be moisturising enough for my very dry skin. Overall rating: ★★★★, 4/5. 

Overall, I am very happy with the range with regard to the general effectiveness, natural ingredients, simplicity and the cruelty free, natural ethos of the brand; also I feel like the products worked well on my dry, sensitive skin so far. However, the ultimate aim of this range is to brighten the skin and to be honest I don't really see any skin brightening effects, unless they are subtle and I haven't noticed them. I would recommend checking out this brand if you have sensitive skin or if you are looking for a more natural skin care routine.
