Pink Parcel: August 2018

Friday, September 07, 2018
I always love receiving subscription boxes as they remind me of those cute Claire's Accessories mystery goodie bags from the late 90's which I always needed if we passed a Clarie's store. Most of those goodie bags were pretty awful but thankfully subscription boxes are far better! There are so many subscription boxes that I love including the very unique Pink Parcel box!

*Pink Parcel - August 2018 (£12.99 per month)
Pink Parcel is a UK monthly subscription service that focuses on period supplies and treats to help with that time of the month. You can choose a day of the month that suits your cycle, you'll receive a range of pads and tampons and you also get a selection of various pamper products and treats. The August 'holiday essentials' box contains products worth over £55 and includes five full sized products.
There are three boxes of various tampons and pads within each months box so you have a range to suit your cycle or to donate. Pink Parcel have started an option in which you can donate all or some of the unused sanitary products from your box to those less fortunate. I always use the night time and regular pads from the box but I never use tampons so I have already added them to the pre-paid envelope that came with the box so I can send them. I think this option is just fantastic as it means, for me, that the tampons aren't wasted and it helps others - the statistics concerning the lack of sanitary products for women and teens is shocking so I want to help were I can.
*Laritzy Dew Pot (£20, 12ml)
There are a few beauty products within this box and the first is a pretty multi-purpose highlighter. I haven't heard of this brand but that's one of the things I love about subscription boxes. The highlight I have is in the shade 'halo' which is a very pretty shade but a little too dark for my ghostly pale skin however there are five other shades you could have received.

*Spacemasks Self Heating Eye Mask
I love the packaging for this product and while it is something I have received previously in a subscription box (not Pink Parcel but maybe Lookfantastic). I have used this eye mask already and I do like it, it doesn't irritate my skin and it smells so nice. I haven't used it when I have an eczema flareup so I don't know if it would irritate my skin then but I'd say that it is pretty safe for those with sensitive skin.
*English Laundry No7 For Her Perfume
I went on holiday last week and as well as some of the pads from this box, I also brought along this perfume as it is the perfect size for travelling or on the go. The highlighter, eye mask and this fragrance are all full sized products which is fantastic. The fragrance is a very floral, feminine and powdery scent that I really like as an everyday, casual fragrance.

*Oryza Dewy Glow Skin Beauty Balm (£11.95, 25ml)
The penultimate full sized item is this multi-purpose skin balm which can be used as a lip balm, cuticle balm or as a subtle, natural highlighter. It is a clear balm that contains jojoba oil, shea butter and vitamin e so it is very nourishing. I have been using it mainly as a lip balm and a highlighter as it gives such a natural, non-glittery glow.
*Sebamed Clear Face Mattifying Face Cream (£5.69, 50ml)
The last beauty item is a skincare product that is perfect for oily or acne prone skin which actually doesn't apply to me - my skin is the opposite, dry and sensitive. It contains aloe vera and hyaluronic acid and would be ideal to keep an oily t-zone at bay. I haven't tried this item as it isn't suitable for my skin but I think it would be useful for so many.

*Lyons No3 Rich & Full Boded Coffee
There are a couple of food related items in this month box, the first of which is an unusual product that I've already reviewed on my blog. It's a one use coffee bag, like a tea bag but it contains coffee grounds so it is great for the work place. Check out my review for more information, link above.
*Candy Kittens Eton Mess Sweets (£1, 54g)
Last but not least is yet another item that I added to my holiday suitcase and one of my favourites from the box, along with the fragrance and the multi-use balm. I don't really have a sweet tooth at all, unless it's gummy or sour sweets and I have wanted to try Candy Kittens sweets for so long as a lot of them are suitable for vegetarians and vegans which is amazing. The Eton mess flavour isn't one I would have picked but I loved them and now I want to try all of the other vegetarian flavours!

Have you tried any of these products? What do you think of this months Pink Parcel box

I think I might give them a go for a treat for my teen. She always suffers at her time of the month and could do with something to cheer her up x
