Mio Liquid Yoga + Firming Faves
Mio is a brand I have tried before, I loved their Mighty Moisture Day & Night Facial Moisturiser a couple of years ago; however I haven't tried any of their famous bodycare products. Their Mama Mio pregnancy range is loved by celebrities and I've heard nothing but amazing things about their range of firming body products!

I was very kindly sent three of their products and from now until the end of this weekend, you can get 30% off everything from the site (from the Mio and Mama Mio ranges) to celebrate Mio's birthday which is amazing - also they offer free UK delivery! Go, Go, Go!

Mio products are free from parabens, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance, colourants and PEGs; they do not test on animals.

- *Mio Get Waisted Sculpting Body Shaper (£35, 100ml): I was very excited to try this product as while I am still young (kind of *cries*), I am never happy with my stomach...and upper arms...and hips...you get the picture! I don't want to be super skinny, I just want firmer skin and a flatter stomach. The Get Waisted 'sculpting body shaper' contains nine ingredients to help stimulate circulation, eliminate puffiness, tighten the skin, discourage fat deposits and recontour your waist - from those incredible claims, I was very excited to try it out.

The packaging for all three products is fantastic, it is simple but eye catching and both creams have a pump dispenser which makes them convenient to use and you know you are using the right amount of product each time. You are supposed to use the cream once a day for thirty days but I never apply body lotion/butter/cream everyday as I find it too much for my skin but I have been using this cream every other day for almost one month now. The cream itself is quite thick but it applies and massages into the skin quickly and easily; it has a scent which to me smells like menthol and essential oils but it is quite a medicinal/medical scent, in my opinion.

The cream is easy to apply and it absorbs quickly, usually before the suggested 30 seconds of massaging it in is up and it doesn't seem to leave any residue or stickiness. It leaves the skin smooth and moisturised to an extent but I do use a light lotion, such as the Molton Brown Ylang Ylang Body Lotion, after it. Even though I haven't been using it as frequently as suggested (I think I would use it up quickly if I used it everyday), I have noticed that my stomach is firmer, smoother and flatter but the results aren't as incredible as I hoped but that is due to me not using the product as often as recommended. Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5.

- *Mio BoobTube+ Multi-Action Bust Firmer (£35, 100ml): I have wanted to try the Lush Lovely Jubblies Cream for so long so I was excited to try this! It has the same packaging as the Get Waisted cream. The ingredients list is amazing and full of so many fantastic, natural ingredients such as dandelion root, hibiscus flower extract, almond oil, organic olive fruit oil and cucumber seed extract among others, including the it ingredient of 2015, hyaluronic acid which we all know is amazing for hydrating the skin.

As with the Get Waisted cream, I've been using this every other day rather than once a day and I have noticed similar results. I find that my skin is much smoother and firmer (although I have been taking tablets half way through using this cream so they will have played a part). This cream is much more moisturising than the Get Waisted cream and I have noticed such a difference in terms of smoothness, hydration and softness. The cream is thick and it has a similar scent to the previous cream but it isn't menthol/minty. The only reason I've dropped one star of both of these products is due to the price but if you can get it in a set or on offer as it is now then I think they are well worth a try. Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5.

- *Mio Liquid Yoga Restorative Bath Soak (£26, 200ml): Now from the name of this product, I had very high hopes! It claims to ease your mind and body, help with muscle fatigue, soothe tired aching bodies and to detoxify. The ingredient list is as fantastic as ever, it contains cypress leaf oil, sage, lavender (my favourite scent ever!) murumuru butter, fig extract, epsom salts and more. The bath soak smells incredible and very calming!

I've used it a few times when I have been stressed out about taking some new tablets as well as while having an awful cold and pulled muscles from new yoga sequences and each time, I have been beyond impressed with this product. The scent is very relaxing anyway but it does become subtle when dispensed into the water and even though it doesn't foam up and it isn't exciting like a Lush bath bomb, the effects are amazing. My muscles and aches become far less tight, tired and sore; for me the effects seems to last for a day or so after my bath. It also helps me de-stress almost completely which is an impressive thing for me as I stress about everything and again the effects last for much longer than I thought they would. I can't recommend this bath soak enough! Overall rating: ★★, 5/5!

Use the code: BIRTHDAY30 at the checkout to get 30% off everything from the site this weekend!

Have you tried anything from Mio or Mama Mio? What do you think of these products? Will you be taking advantage of the 30% off offer?

  3. I've never heard of the brand before but the body sculpting cream sounds quite interesting! I end up sitting down a lot of the time, and not much exercising, and so I'm wondering if it would work well on my legs too :)
