ELF Haul...Part 1

Sunday, December 02, 2012
I recently made an order with ELF (www.eyeslipsface.co.uk) just after Halloween and if you made an order then you received a free Halloween goody bag of products - I received three free products and here they are with the order items I ordered.
Firstly, a new product from ELF, it is their Small Stippling Brush which I have been using almost constantly - along with my Real Technique Expert Face Brush which I still love. The small stippling brush is incredibly soft and it works so well with my new Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation. The brush is so easy/quick to use, it blends foundation so well (my Benefit foundation) and it was so cheap! Next purchase is the ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit in the shade 'Ash'. I have wanted to try this product for a while and finally bought it but I am a bit disappointed with the wax section of the kit as it does not keep my eyebrows in place at all but the powder is good.
The first two items (both photographs on the left) were part of the free Halloween goody bag and they are as follows: the ELF Tinted Lip Balm in the shade 'Plum'. I have tried one of these before from ELF and I wasn't impressed and I am not impressed with this shade either. I tried this on my lips and it sank into the lines in my lips so easily and it looks patchy. I like the idea of a tinted lip balm and I love the packaging of this product but the lip balm itself is very disappointing and I would buy one again. The second free gift included was a nail polish in a glittery purple shade. The polish looks good but I have given it to a friend as I don't like nail polish with chunky glitter in it. The next two items are a bit boring but the first is a eyeshadow shield made of rubber and you hold it under your eyes and it catches fall out - a good idea but it would be better if I didn't have to hold the thing! The last item is just a Nail File Block which I have bought before and they work really well - and the are really handy to have in your bag.

I think ELF products would make really nice stocking fillers (stocking stuffers if you are American I believe) or as secret santa gifts! x
