July Empties: Skincare

Here are some of the skincare products I have used up this month including a couple of make up removers and toners. So here goes...

Firstly, the make up removers that I have used up this month. One of the best make up removers I have ever used - the Nivea Daily Essentials Extra Gentle Make Up Remover (£3.59, 125ml). I have already posted a product rave product about this make up remover as it is amazing (link here to my full review). Another make up remover that I have used up this month is the Clinique Take The Day Off Remover (£16, 125ml). I hate this Clinique make up remover just because it leaves my skin feeling horrible, greasy, oily and not clean! I much prefer the Nivea make up remover or even better my Vichy Calming Micellar Solution. Overall, a disappointing product from Clinique - not recommended. The final make up remover I have used up is the Lush 9 to 5 lotion (£9.25, 240g)  - it is a cleansing lotion but I use it as a make up remover but I use my cleanser. This product smells nice, it works well, it is very gentle, it is easy to use/remove and it contains natural ingredients. Although this product can make my skin feel quite tacky and not clean - bit it comes in very handy when I dye my hair at home as it removes dye from the skin really well.

I have also used up a couple of toners this month and unfortunately both of them where disappointing. The first toner is the Biotherm Biosource Softening Toner (£15.32, 200ml). This toner, for me, worked fairly well although in comparison to my Lush Eau Roma water this product was very average. It smells really strongly which I don't like and it was an average product. The second toner I have used up is the Boots Simply Sensitive Gently Refreshing Toner (£1.32, 200ml). A fantastic price and a great product - it works well as a toner and it does not irritate my skin - recommended. Also a sample moisturiser I have used up this month is the Clarins HydraQuench Cream (£33, 50ml) which works well but it can irritate my skin (even though I don't have eczema anymore and my skin is not where neat as sensitive).
