Glossy Box: July 2012

Thursday, July 26, 2012
I received my July Glossy Box yesterday and it arrived via Hermes (although I find that the courier keeps switching between Royal Mail and Hermes). I read one blog post (the sunday girl's blog post) of what she received in her July Glossy Box and she received a HD Brows kit - which I wanted but sadly I didn't receive that in my Gloss Box but I do like the items that I received overall.
I received:
*Trio of Elizabeth Arden skincare (3 x 2ml samples)
*Londoner SE1 fragrance (2ml)
*Monu Eye gel (20ml)
*Jelly Pong Pong Irish Cream Pavlova Lip Frosting (15ml)
*Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi Use Dry Oil (10m)
*Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist (100ml)
Firstly, the fragrance sample I received. The brand is called 'BEX London' and the fragrance is named 'Londoner SE1'. It is a eau de toilette, which is not as long lasting as an eau de parfum. This fragrance smells like all of my dads aftershaves mixed together - it is far too musky and masculine for me! I will be giving this sample to my dad and the fragrance only lasted a couple of hours on me, which is quite disappointing.
Nuxe Multi Use Dry Oil and Monu Eye Gel
I have wanted to try the Nuxe dry oil for a while now so I am glad that it came in my Glossy Box and I will be taking this oil with me on holiday next month. The bottle is gorgeous and cute (I am a sucker for anything miniature beauty products) and the oil smells really nice too. I also received an eye gel from a brand called 'Monu' which is a brand I have heard of and it has been featured in various magazines. I like eye gels, over cream eye moisturisers and this one feels nice on my skin - I have only tried this on the back of my hand as I only received this Glossy Box yesterday.
I have tried one Paul Mitchell product in a Glossy Box before and I think it was a relaxing balm and it was awful so when I saw another Paul Mitchell product I wasn't very happy. I have tried this moisturising hair mist a couple of times and it is fairly nice and it does make my hair feel less dry and it makes my hair feel smoother. Overall, a nice and effective Paul Mitchell product. I also received a trio of Elizabeth Arden Skincare Samples from the Visible Difference line. I have dry skin and sensitive skin so these products (that are gentle and hydrating) are great for my skin type. I haven't tried these samples yet but they look good and I will post an 'initial impressions' post on these when I have tried them.
Lastly, I received a 'Lip Frosting in the shade/flavour: Irish cream Pavlova'. I have bought a couple of Jelly Pong Pong products before, from Asos and they are really nice. This product is a lip gloss and it can be used on the cheeks as well. I have used this on my lips a couple of times now and it looks gorgeous! This shade leaves my lips with a gorgeous shiny, luscious pink sheen and it is quite pigmented. It smells/tastes really nice, it makes my lips looks fuller and it is a great travel size. Although as with most lip glosses my hair does stick to it and it doesn't last long on me.
What did you received in your July Gloss Box? x
