Kate Moss Spring Lipsticks: Shade 19

Wednesday, May 30, 2012
Kate Moss and Rimmel has launched a few new shades for spring - four I think and I picked up one.

Top swatch: full pigmentation
Bottom swatch: one swipe
I love this shade, I did want to get the shades 3 and 8 from the original collection of Kate lipsticks but I wanted to try one of the new spring shades. The shade of this lipstick is shade number 19 and it is a gorgeous dusky pink with slight bright red undertones. This shade is just gorgeous for spring/summer, in my opinion, it is bright but definitely not very bright. This lipstick applies so smoothly and it is very pigmented! I am very impressed with the shade, formula and application of this lipstick. The scent of this lipstick is also gorgeous, it smells sweet and it is a fairly strong scent, which I like. The longevity of this lipstick is not amazing, it does not last very well through eating/drinking as it does transfer. Overall I would rate this lipstick at 4/5 and I will definitely be purchasing the shades 3 and 8 in the original collection now.

May Glossy Box: Aniversary Box

Wednesday, May 23, 2012
I received this box today and it is the aniversary box to celebrate the Glossy Box one year aniversary! Which means that there where are few added extras...

Items included in this months box include:

Si Lolita, de Lolita Lempicka, Eau de Parfum (0.8ml)

I actually really like the smell of this perfume. It is warm, spicey and really quite different and unique! This fragrance smell like a more subtle, sweeter version of gurlain shamilar. I applied this fragrance to my wrists at 12 and at 4:15 the scent is hardly noticeable on my skin which is quite disappointing.

Lolita Lempicka eau de parfum

This is a fragrance sample that I really don't like. The scent is that of jelly sweets/candy which I would usually like but it is not nice at all! The scent smells like a mixture of jelly sweets/candy and musky notes which does not work well, in my opinion.

Eldora handmade false eyelashes: H120

I don't wear eyelashes, apart from small individual lashes, so this is not very exciting or useful for me really. I did apply one of the lashes and they are massive on my eyes, even though I cut them down to size. Overall, I am not very impressed with these lashes.

Noble Isle cornish hedgerows bath & shower gel (75ml)

This is a new brand that I haven't heard of before but it looks really good. The scent I received was Summer Rising Cornish Hedgerows and it smells divine. The scent is very fresh and summery.

Apivita Express beauty with cucumber (2x8ml)

This is an intensive hydrating face mask with cucumber. I have dry skin so this will probably be good but I also have fairly sensitive skin so I am always a bit cautious about new skincare. Although I think this will work well with my skin as it contains cucumber which is soothing and it does not contain parabens or propylene glycol.

Osmo berber hair oil treatment with argan oil (10ml)

I have a couple of hair oils and they seem to work well with my hair and it is always nice to try a new hair oil. Hair oils, in my experience, do not usually smell amazing but this hair oil smells gorgeous! The hair oil smells like sweets/candy/fruity which is so nice and it is quite unusual for a hair oil to smell so good.

Additional items

There are two additional extra items in this box which include a double sided compact mirror which is actually really good and it is really useful. The second added item is a happy birthday glossy box balloon!

Mini Body Shop Haul!

Saturday, May 19, 2012
I made a small order on The Body Shop website, as they are always having sales on...on with the haul!

Honey & Oat 3 in 1 Scrub Mask

I have been wanting to try this face mask for a while as oats are really soothing for sensitive skin - as I have a tiny bit of eczema (which has nearly gone because of a really amazing non steroid prescription cream). I purchased this product a few days ago from www.thebodyshop.co.uk for just over £5! Body Shop are currently having a code offer which is why I purchased this mask for a really good price.

Moringa Beautifying Oil

This oil is new from the body shop, it was only released a couple of weeks ago, and this oil comes in various scents. The Moringa scent is my favourite from the Body Shop but in this oil form the Morniga scent is not very strong at all, which is a bit disappointing. I like this use this product in my hair and on my skin after a shower. Like the face mask I bought this for just over £5 and it is currently priced at: £6.75 (£9 full price).

Passion Fruit Body Butter

This is a gorgeous body butter, it is not as nice as the Morniga body butter, but it is a really nice body moisturiser. The scent is divine and the body butter applies so smoothly, quickly and easily - it absorbs really quite quickly too so my skin does not feel greasy. I purchased this for £5 in a body shop sale a couple of months ago.

Free Lancome Gift Set At Debenhams

Thursday, May 17, 2012

I bought two items from the Lancome section of the Debenhams website and I received this free gift which I am very impressed with. You have to buy two things from lancome to be able to receive the gift. Firstly, I really like the Lancome bag the products came in - even though I ordered everything online. Secondly, there was a lot of products in the gift including a free size lip gloss (last photograph). The products you get include a:

Galateis Douceir Gentle softening cleansing fluid 125ml (face and eyes)

Tonique Douceur Softening hydrating toner 50ml

Hydra Zen Neurocalm Cream 15ml

Genifique Youth activating concentrate 5ml

Visionnaire skin corrector 5ml

Colour Fever Gloss, shade: 321, 6ml (full size)

If you are thinking of buying some products from Lancome, the time is now, as this free gift set is really nice and the products are great! And a full size lip gloss in the shade 321 is included which is a not where near as pigmented as it looks in the bottle/photograph but it makes my lips look really full and glossy!

L'Occitane Spring Collection Lipstick: Pivoine Delicate 02

Friday, May 11, 2012
Gorgeous L'Occitane Packaging

Shade: Pivoine Delicate

Swatch: Peachy pink with shimmer

This is my first lipstick purchase from L'Occitane and I really like the lipstick. This shade is from the new spring collection I think and I just adore the peachy pink shade of this lipstick. The lipstick smells gorgeous, like the new Pivoine Délicate perfume! The shade as you can see from the swatch above is a peachy pink and it applies quite sheer to my lips. This lipstick also has glitter in which I usually don't like but with this shade the shimmer works and this shade overall makes my lips look fuller! The price of this lipstick put me off buying it as it is almost the same price as a MAC lipstick but it is worth it in my opinion. Overall, I will rate this product 4/5!

Review: Revlon Lip Butter 'Pink Truffle'

Thursday, May 10, 2012

Bottom: One swipe. Top: Multiple to increase the colour intensity
Everybody and their mother have been going crazy over the new Revlon lip butters. I purchased one, as it was the only rosy neutral shade, which is 'Pink Truffle'. Firstly I like the packaging. Secondly I adore the shade, it is a gorgeous rosy pink shade with brown undertones - perfect for everyday wear. In terms of longevity I find that the shade lasts longer on my lips than the glossy finish does. The colour lasts for about four hours whereas the glossy finish lasts for a maximum of three - on me. I purchased this shade from Superdrug for £7.99, which I think is a little bit over priced. Overall, I do think that the Revlon lip butters are overhyped but I think that this shade is definitely worth the money. I will rate this product/shade 4/5!
